You've been spending too much time smoking Bellsprout's stun-spore, brah. It looks very basic. It's very early and it could be decent when finished. But, gah, the depressing thing for me is that there are a field full of enemies who don't seem to attack or react to Link being there (except by looking at him). I wonder if Nintendo should have kept this under wraps, just released screens and waited until it was a bit smarter looking before showing off any more.

inb4 the butthurt forumers with unreal expectations. Thought it was ok, tbh. If anything, to show that Nintendo are taking the DLC and online content stuff seriously. NES remix stuff looks nice. The only thing I'm unsure about was that Hyrule Warriors thing at the beginning which looked a bit weak. -

I'm probably the only one excited about Dr. Luigi. The feels! Dr. Mario was one of my very first NES games. -

The Berlin Wall will be torn down before I finish this game. ... Whut?

You're right... If we don't get X, Ultra Paper Mario and Mario Kart by New Year's Day, then Nintendo is FUCKED. -

I'm going to go into this with low expectations. I try to do that for every direct. No point wishing for this and wishing for that. Could be something good, could be nothing. Although...make me be leaf, Nintendo. -

It will be. First quarter 2016. I doubt it's anywhere near ready. -
Give me X and nobody gets hurt. If it's even a patch on Xenoblade, then I'll be happy.

Watch Dogs will most likely be canned for the Wii U. Can't see it coming. If it does come, it'll flop. There's no dignity in either scenario. -
Klinsmann is partly responsible for the drastic changes at various level that have happened over in Germany, with the national team benefiting immensely. That's something he's trying to incorporate over in America. He's doing a more than sound job at International Level. The time might be right for him to look at doing it at club level. (he had a brief spell at Bayern Munich, very early on, did pretty well in the Champions League) On paper, the appointment would seem like a good move. He's popular with the fans, he's known for promoting youth and developing the style of football at a club. I could see him coming over and being successful. The only reason(s) he probably won't come will be, as you said, because of the World Cup and probably because Spurs will go for somebody else entirely. Rumours of Hoddle taking over, and all that. Either way, shit move to remove the manager now.

Hmm, I'm in two minds about it. I don't like him or his personality, or the way in which he organises his teams. He seems to be incredibly limited, regardless of the players who are at his disposal. His interviews as well...he just seems to talk shit, but he comes across as sounding more intelligent than he probably is. Saying that, sacking any manager at Christmas seems wrong in my view. (unless that team are far off the mark, ie relegation fodder) They should have stuck with him til the end of the season and then judged him. Arguably though, they were performing worse and worse as the season went on. But, I can't see who is available and who would want to come in. I'm hearing whispers of Capello or Klinsmann. Either would be excellent.

One of the highlights of my weekend was seeing Darren Fletcher back on the field. Hope he can get somewhere back to his best. Would be like a new signing. Also, fuck, Jordan Henderson's performance on Match of the Day 2 yesteday/the game against Spurs. This is how Tom Cleverley should be playing every week. (although, in fairness to him, his movement was excellent for his goal yesterday) No Dazzy this weekend. Guess his iPad's broken. :p Edit: AVB sacked.

The Judge is doing the legal service and process a disservice with this verdict. He could have made a statement by giving this person the sentence that he deserved, which would have been a length prison sentence. All that it suggests is that there are two worlds out there and as long as you have money you can "buy your freedom". The disappointing thing is that this could have been used as a warning shot to others. The law is the law, no matter your background. His blood level alcohol limit was three times the legal limit. Three times. That's not him being a "victim of his own wealth" or however you phrase it, that's pure recklessness. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I handed out that sentence. -
Just got home after a busy few days in London. Managed to stop off at a pub after saying goodbye to Ine's family and catch the second half of our game. Understandably, we stopped playing after going 3-0 up. Cleverley scored a great goal, he needs to do more of that. Couldn't believe my fucking eyes at the Spurs/Liverpool scoreline. 5-0! Fuck me. Was not expecting that. Thought Liverpool would win it 2-1 or something close. Pretty pissed off now that we didn't go there and get the win, bah.

You can tell Nintendo what game they should make next - What is it?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Charlie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Metroid as a...(wait for eet)...survival horror. Take the third person viewpoint from Other M, those segments where you entered a run but had the "over the shoulder viewpoint". Make that the main viewpoint for the game. There are occasions where you can go first person, but the majority of the game is third person. Make it creepy as fuck where you have fewer enemies, but they are more powerful or difficult to evade from. A large focus of the game would be on evasion and hiding, like in Metroid Fusion where you hide from "it". You could have whole underground networks of tunnels where you could hide from enemies on the surface. Maybe some enemies can "track you" and follow you across zones. Would seem scary if they were difficult to shake off. Take the atmosphere from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Make it slower paced and have a series of locations that are a bit out of the ordinary for the franchise. Maybe you visit an abandoned colony, looking for survivors. Your ammunition could be scarce, such as having to solve simple puzzles to get basic items like missiles. Therefore making them more precious. I'm thinking it would be a more "mature" title, as in it takes the unsettling aspects of games like Dead Space and Silent Hill, not so much to do with swearing, etc. It wouldn't have to be dialogue heavy, you could have the backstory told through logs ala Metroid Prime, or something to that effect. -
Should Nintendo adopt a PS Plus style service?
Fierce_LiNk replied to tapedeck's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I'd be satisfied/happy with that. Or, if they did more with WiiUWare/Indie games and had those on some sort of subscription. The idea of paying for online play (after you've already paid for the console, the game and your monthly broadband) really is a turn off and I doubt it would be something I'd pay for. I'm not a massive online gamer to begin with, so this wouldn't help. -
I'm happy with tonight's result, although we are still very flat throughout most of our play. As awesome as Giggs has been for United, it does kill me inside to see him start games in central midfield. In addition to this, I'm worried about the future of Phil Jones. Yes, he scored a great goal and looked good in midfield in the second half, but his future should be at centre-back and he's not playing enough there. I'm convinced that Moyes sees him as a midfielder now. Also, Ashley Young must be a stallion in training. I have no idea how he manages to get into this team as often as he does.

No. Sony shouldn't drop out because Nintendo need them. If they had a monopoly in this market, they would be lazy as fuck and do nothing to push things forward. You need competition because it helps push up standards. It's partly why I never liked the bullshit of people thinking/saying that Nintendo were never competing with the likes of Microsoft or Sony. Why not? They NEED to compete.

RVP is a magician when he's on form. He hasn't played that well this season, but aside from Rooney and maybe one or two others, nobody has. Immense last season. Rooney has been great but he's not really been put in the positions where he can score. When we played him directly up top in the past, he was scoring for fun (scoring 25+ league goals). So, he's not as easy to compare to others like Suarez and Aguero who will play up top every game and who will be given every opportunity to score. He's almost like a Jack of all trades, Master of none.
-
That's one of the reasons why I'd have Aguero. You don't get any of the hassle that you do with Suarez. He's undeniably very, very good. World class. But, he's a total gobshite. A liability. You're never certain about him and he has a mistake or an act of foolishness in him. Aguero is annoying in that respect because I don't actually know of any faults that he has. Perfect striker in my opinion. Would sell my kidneys to see him at United. (will never ever happen) Some would say that Rooney should be in this category. He's obviously up there, but I don't think of him in the same way as I did a few years back when he basically held us to ransom over more money. He used to be our golden boy, I guess. But, he definitely lost a huge amount of cred over that incident.
