I'm awaiting the spotify app on the PS4. Anybody know when it'll be here? I want to play DriveClub with my own music.

I'm doing well with the squats and deadlifts. I actually think my deadlift technique is getting better and I managed 138kg pretty easily for two sets. I managed to hit 110kg squats although this was exhausting. Two days later, my legs are still tired and I've refereed a school football match today and had a kick about afterwards. I came home planning to exercise but my body thought NOPE. Going to have to do it tomorrow. A bit annoyed as I was hoping to come home and crack on with it, but if your body won't have it then...it'll just have to wait until tomorrow. Overall, I'm pleased with the progress that I'm making with squats and deadlifts. My bench press and shoulder pressing has hit a sticky point though and I'm struggling to break beyond it.

See, this is what puts me off and I imagine it can be very frustrating. I don't really like terribly difficult games for the sake of being difficult. I found Alien Isolation difficult in places on hard mode but it was still enjoyable. Is this the same?

I actually really like that song. Dat nostalgia. :p The film itself is lame, though. It's enjoyable in places, but I'm still aware that it's absolute trash.

I don't know why they're not there but it is irritating as a Nintendo fan to see a game be released on the 360 + PS3 plus the PS4 and XBone. It's irritating because I guess a lot of us assumed that once there was parity with the other systems, we'd get more games as a result of it. Sadly, this isn't the case. No Destiny on WiiU is a head-scratcher as it is the type of game that the WiiU needs. I've previously associated a lot of my thoughts as being similar to yours. We are similar though, as we both bought the WiiU at roughly the same time. -
They need to do something to flesh out the single player as it really is a bit bare-bones. You also can't really equate Mario Kart racing to real kart racing because the last time I checked, you weren't allowed to throw banana peels or blue shells in a normal kart race. It's fantasy, so you can go beyond the limits of reality. I'd be all for a story mode or at least the possibility of it featuring challenges or something to make the single player more interesting. F Zero had a story mode and I really enjoyed that. Not so much for the story, but for what it allows you to do.

Yeah, I agree with your point about Diddy Kong. Even just a story mode or some attempt to expand the single player would be enough for me. There's just not an awful lot to do in it besides multiplayer, which is fine...if all of it worked correctly. Battle mode is a large part of the multiplayer which is broken. It shocked me at just how bad it was when I tried it.

It's a better game than Wii, in my opinion. I loathed that game and felt that it wasn't really that fun to play. Only just, though, because I didn't have a great time with this either. I really wanted Nintendo to put some effort in with the single player. I remember MKDS had these missions and I found them pretty fun. I really expected Nintendo to expand on this with both Wii and 8 and they really haven't.

It's extremely over-rated and I can't believe it has even made some of these game of the year lists. The single player modes are piss poor and the battle mode is completely broken. The gameplay is Mario Kart mixed with a bit of F Zero's anti-gravity (saves Nintendo making an F Zero, I guess). On the plus side, it is really beautiful to look at in places.

Wario Ware was the first idea that sprung to mind. Short mini-games that you can play on the go. Could even be level based with the games becoming harder as you go on and shorter time limits. Streetpass on your phone? I'm much more likely to take my phone out with me (100% of the time) compared to our 3DS. Streetpass on the phone then sync it up with the 3DS when nearby. Or, just have an account that can be accessed on both the phone and 3DS. And next console.

Arsenal were unlucky but they did have opportunities tonight. They also worked the ball into very good positions but either didn't play the right pass through and lost the ball or didn't get a good enough cross in to cause trouble. I imagine most Arsenal fans will be gutted by the game as I feel that this was definitely a winnable tie over two legs. I have no idea how they managed to lose 3-1 in the first leg...Monaco must have played out of their skin.

Velocity 2x is pretty awesome. I saw Ine play it the other night and it looked really interesting. Drive Club is wonderful. I think you'll enjoy it. I'm shite at it because I spend most of the time gawking at the visuals. Hnnnnggg.

Yeah, fair enough. I agree actually and part of the reason why I can't go Nintendo-only is that the big budget games or even just big third party releases aren't coming to it. -

That's a bit disrespectful towards the indie games, imo. I've spent tons of time playing PSN games. Currently playing OlliOlli2 and Ine is playing Rogue Legacy. Both are top quality titles. Indie games aren't really a lesser choice, they are just another option. It's nice being able to flip between something like The Last of Us one moment and then be on OlliOlli2 the next. THAT is variety. -
Giroud with the first goal. I think Arsenal will at least win this tie tonight as Monaco don't really look that impressive.

I watched Lost in Space on Sunday. It's shit and I want two and a half hours of my life back, please. Not sure if I want to add it to the list for fear of ridicule...

I agree with basically everything you're saying. Especially the part about owning multiple consoles. That's not really for me and I can't really manage handheld and home console, so I tend to go for one or the other. I bought into the Wii's concept mainly because the idea sounded great. There was tremendous potential with the controller and as a result it had me interested. I could live without missing out on HD because I didn't really know better and I was at a busy time in my life where I would only dip into gaming every now and again. In that sense, the Wii fitted me perfectly. Now that I've got a bit more time here and there to game, I've been more eager to get back into it. Unfortunately, I don't buy into the WiiU's concept (not even sure if there really is one, tbh, the brand is confusing) and the games haven't grabbed me. I'm a massive Nintendo fan and adored the N64 in particular. I used to dream about where the future would take us with Nintendo and I feel that there have been tons of missed opportunities over the years. I used to dream about playing a video game based on the film Alien and have only the one creature to face in a tense game. I've got that now. I used to play FIFA96 on the SNES and dream about playing with 10 other people, one player each against another 11. I can do that now. Unfortunately, I've grown bored of what they're producing and it isn't really what I want from gaming. I feel that the types of games that I want to play just aren't appearing on the WiiU. -
I have to agree with that last bit. I did feel guilty at first about not being bothered by Mario Kart or Smash despite paying for both. I bought them but I didn't want to play them! Figure that one out.
-
He's right, though. It was actually a big reason why I opted to go for a PS4 after being thoroughly bored by the WiiU. I've already played Mario Kart, Smash Bros, dozens of Marios and Zeldas. The biggest game that I wanted to play was Alien Isolation and that wasn't on the WiiU, which is new and different to everything else on the WiiU.

Yes, better to not give them this choice. We must also make sure that the game comes with a blindfold and a shield to protect them from the dangers of the outside world.

Nintendo & DeNA Business Agreement - Nintendo on Smartphones

But I thought this would be bad for Nintendo to be associated with Smart Phone gaming as it is THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!!? Worth it just for this comment, tbh. -
Nope. Mine is disconnected and I haven't touched it in months. Ine last played on it at Christmas when she played Bayonetta and a bit of Hyrule Warriors. Aside from Xenoblade, I have no intention of touching it again.
