I know there's been a discovery to download and play Japanese demo's on other region accounts (because of their lack of DRM), but can you actually download it onto a UK account? I'm not exactly sure if you can, so all I can say is that you'll probably need a Japanese PSN account. Well, this is by SEGA PC so that could be an indication they're going to focus on that platform still? Publishers are definitely starting to see the PC as a viable platform these days.

Bought and downloaded. Was going to get around to buying them singularly at some point and this saves me a lot of money.

I like you. The game definitely has its faults, but that's nothing they can't fix with a sequel. They just need a bit more variety and a bit more planning in regards to item drops, but yeah, fantastic game.

I am basically digital only for my Japanese 3DS since I cannot be bothered risking the import fees and my 32GB is far from being filled. Full of digital titles, demos, videos and I've never had to delete a single thing. Just in case nobody has posted about this, you can make a substantial saving by buying the New 3DS on Amazon France. If you wait for preorders to end and it's actually in stock to be shipped, you can also have Amazon convert the currency for you and avoid all the foreign transaction fees and it'll only take 2-3 days to arrive with their €1.50 shipping fee. You can save over £30 with the regular edition.

Nintendo will finally announce a full localisation of the Mother series for the Americas and Europe, followed the next week by an announcement of intention to file for bankruptcy, only to be snapped up by Microsoft and general smiles all around the video game community.

I've been hearing similar things! It looks fantastic on the portable too, but I definitely wouldn't mind having a home console port with more buttons and stuff. I imagine issuing commands is a bit of a bitch though without the touch screen? But yeah, last night I sat in bed all snuggled up whilst playing Phantasy Star Online 2 on my Vita thanks to whatever the fuck was blocking European connections since last summer finally ending. Absolutely loving this little thing. If only it were more competitive, because the 3DS is really starting to stagnate for me and I feel it's the lack of competition.

The New Nintendo 3DS isn't supported. So, all I can say to those that are adopting one next month, keep your current one as it is and don't update it

Magatsu from the new emergency quest on Phantasy Star Online 2 decided to give me a brief yet friendly greeting.

You would assume wrong. Nah, it's the JET Programme as a teaching assistant in Japan. It's possibly the first thing I've applied to with some degree of confidence. The confidence was kind of artificially there, but it had helped with my self esteem issues trying to enforce the idea that I'm a good candidate for such a job to myself. Now I feel like I've put myself in a disastrous situation that will only lower my own self confidence.

The music is the least I'm worried about. I'll give you that what they used in that new trailer was pretty weak material, but there's a good fucking reason Sawano Hiroyuki has basically been working nonstop for years composing shit, the guy is a hot commodity in Japan and has composed some of the best anime soundtracks I've listened to.

Checking twitter and finding out there are a couple of people that have had JET interview invitations in the post the last couple of days has had a pretty shitty impact on me. I'm going to be devastated if I don't even get that far despite all that I can offer and my distinction in the language. I need a beer to chill me out and stop me from worrying.

To make things even worse, it's really not a great showcase title to display the new capabilities of the hardware. It looks fucking shocking. I really want to see the real New 3DS exclusive games.

Although their sales tax is a lot lower than ours (8% compared to 20%) it is quite a steep difference. I'm waiting to see how much retailers charge for the New 3DS first, but although Serebii's economic talk does make sense for us having higher price points, it does not justify in the slightest just how much extra we pay. I am absolutely convinced that the region locking (which only Nintendo engages in now I'll add) is primarily serving the function to secure unfair pricing in certain markets at this point.

I fucking love how, despite what it says in the subtitles, the Nintendo 2DS wasn't even mentioned in the Monster Hunter segment. Those Japanese get their consoles so cheap (£100 for the New Nintendo 3DS) they don't need no shitty door stop version. Holy shit, are people still going to deny how shit Xenoblade 3D looks? It hurts my eyes to look at it, it looks like it belongs on the original DS.
