I'm bored, tired and sleepy, so i've decided to create a new thred. I haven't checked to see if there has already been a thread like this but if it takes off please don't lock it. (I'm looking at you Stocka). Anyway this thread is pretty obvious from its title. So who is your favourite bad guy in Videogame history? It could be the original bad guy; your oponent in Pong. Or even Bowser or King Koopa as i prefer. Maybe the legendary psychopath Sephiroth. So say you favourite villain and if you want leave a few sentences why you like him/her(!).

Yes but if they are still on schedule Excite Truck should be out before Christmas, then there is Project H.A.M.M.E.R. in Winter and hopefully Mario Galaxy by Spring or even earlier. Yes i know i have only said 3 titles. Sonic Wildfire should be out in Spring aswell, and there is also Wario Ware Smooth Moves, Pokemon Revolution Battle may also be out early 2007 if it is due in December in Japan. There will also be the normal onslaught of EA titles i think and apparently in the new ONM at the very bottom of page eleven it says Japanese developers are planning on revealing many more Wii titles at TGS.

Idiots, why should they have so many titles at launch? I mean the 4 titles at the N64 launch was enough? ................................................................. The reason for my sarcasm is because I believe what you are saying is very very silly (or fucking spacsticated like a suicidal chimpanzee). It is good to have many titles at launch so there is a lot on offer for people with different tastes in games. Say if an FPS fan saw a Red Steel advert on TV but it wasn't enough of an incentive for him to get the console there would also be Metroid Prime 3 so that FPS fan would be convinced to get the console which is good for Nintendo. Also Nintendo probably want to make a bigger impact than the PS3.

How dare the Official Magazine overrate and hype Nintendo games! I mean how dare they give Fifa Street 2 36% that game was gangsta. It's not as if they're paid to make Nintendo games look good....

What I don't get is why would he bother writing this blog in English when he is Japanese, surely it would be much easier for him to make a blog in his native language? And wouldn't he have to buy a differnt keyboard or something to write in English? Hmmmm.....

Edge Most balanced and pointful games magazine in my opinion. And i have every issue since issue 51, that equals over 110 issues and nine years of subscription. ONM I used to buy NOM until it changed, and i read the official magazine because it brings out the fanboy within me.... And i like it

Sonic Rush though is a ray of light upon Sonic games at the moment though considering the standards of the dire Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes. But i have to agree Sonic 2 owns all, one of my favourite past-times is playing multiplayer on that game with my brother. Which Sonic game was it that had a slot on top which was an additional cartridge slot and let you play as Knuckles (i think) through another Sonic game?

Yes it DOES. First generation Gamecube titles look better than that.

Yes it was my opinion, i don't need to say in my opinion in everything i say do i? I own ToS and have completed it twice, it is an amazing game but the Final Fantasy series has certainly not died on the Playstation and i have given examples why.

In my opinion it wasn't. The Gamecube was a console that was built single-handedly to retrieve the market share that Sony had taken from them but Nintendo went the wrong way about it. 1. Nintendo arrived too late to the market in all territories giving the PS2 more than a years head-start in Europe, Japan and America (i think). 2. No one cares about the size of a console, in fact people would have been more impressed if it was big because people tend to think like this: "The bigger the better." 3. Purple is the worst colour ever, just thank god Nintendo didn't release the orange Gamecube here. 4. Why was there only a special edition Gamcube that played DVDs? Why not have that console the console that people are going to buy. 5. People love Zelda, it's true, but displaying the Wind Waker before the console was released was a bad move. 6. Why the hell did they let Silicon Knights go? 7. Nintendo could have at least tried to buy the rights to Banjo Kazooie off Rare. Why the Gamecube was a success: 1. Metroid made the greatest videogame comeback ever. 2. It made a profit. 3. Nintendo made many new relationships with other developers e.g. Namco, Capcom, Kuju, Retro Studios, Konami (although it didn't really show). 4. Nintendo patched things up with Square who is now also merged with Enix so that means Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. 5. Nintendo learned how to make a console fail. I don't think they will do it again. 6. Oh yeah and Resident Evil 4 fucking rocked.

Can this thread be about any games, not just gamecube games? Well anyway, i'm gonna talk about how much i enjoyed completing Metal Gear Solid 2 on Hard difficulty. Since i have completed the game before i skipped many of the less interesting sences, and the ones which are longer than half an hour. Metal Gear Solid 2 is a very accomplished game, nothing in it feels un-finished or un-polished it seems as though it has been made the way Hideo Kojima wanted it. That being said the game does not have the impact the original did, there are some new nice elements in the game such as hanging from railings and i hiding in lockers but i'm not too sure about the first person view, especially with a handgun out FPS just doesn't seem to work in Metal Gear Solid. I think this is mainly because that you have to stay still while in FPS and then have to return to thrid person to move to a better vantage point so you can kill some of the enemies. Personally i have no problem with Raiden being the main character of the game, i believe Kojima added him so there would be something fresh to the story. But unfortunately the story is overly complicated for the average gamer (not to say they're stupid), but that Kojima may have thought he was being too clever and that in fact the plot becomes a bit of a mess towards the end e.g. Raiden is not a woman!!! In Hard mode the game becomes a bit tedious, the fact that gaurds can see futher than their cone displays, and sometimes their routines make it impossible to do something without being caught. But the main problem is instead of making Metal Gear Ray harder to kill instead the game gives you 12 to kill while three are attacking you at one time. Still though for its faults Metal Gear Solid 2 is an amazing game which is still one of the best titles of this generation in my opinion. Still i cannot bring myself to give it 9 out of 10 so instead it gets: 8.9/10
