  1. Amazing, thanks. I really want it on my wall, but i could only find a US site that sold it. *will keep looking*
  2. Just seen this painting for the first time. Just think it's a great piece of art.
  3. Yeah but on the most basic level it’s a protest by a group of people, over the mistreatment over another group of people that they feel an affinity for (in this case, because they share religious beliefs). Killing should be wrong in any case, but here, they’re concerned about their fellow muslims. That’s what they’re saying. But I still think the religious aspect of this is just a side issue. They’re protesting (in a batshit crazy, not acceptable way) over people getting killed abroad. Which is happening, and which is causing these terrorist attacks, which will keep happening, cos nothing will change policy-wise. There’s not even been a suggestion of discussing policy change. It's just not even considered a related issue, cos the West has this arrogant “we’ve done nothing wrong, poor us” victim mentality.
  4. Why is everyone even focusing on the religion angle? The killer clearly said, on camera, that what they did was a protest/threat/blackmail over this government's foreign policy. And specifically their occupation of countries like Afghanistan. The fact that people end up getting murdered over there, and no one here gives a shit. Not that that excuses what those sick fucks did. But needless killing (or even deliberate) gets done abroad too, and it’s barely acknowledged here. How about we all stop acting like freaks and killing eachother, regardless of where it happens?? Just an idea. The “crazy religious extremists”* angle seems like an easy way out of having a difficult discussion about foreign policy, which is what seems to be fueling all this to begin with (as far back as 9/11, when Bin Laden stated that the killing of muslims as a result of Western foreign policy was the motive for the attack). * Not that they’re *not* batshit crazy, they clearly are. Cameron’s speech was lame too. Full of sentimental avoidance of the actual issue bullshit. Nothing’s ever going to change if we carry on like this.
  5. They don't sell Puffs? *leaves thread*
  6. Sorry to hear that Blade. Job hunting is the piiiits. -- Just had a massive argument with my mum over a gammon steak. Standard.
  7. When i was a baby she was all emotional and shit. And i was like: So i killed her.
  8. Stop iiiiit, you're making me feel dead inside!! Heh, i guess i DO feel... something. But what i feel just doesn't seem as dramatic as other people describe. I'm actually quite jealous because i'd like to feel more intensely over music. I feel quite unemotional generally, compared to most people. And especially compared to the hysterics of most of my female acquaintances. Oooh, this is like therapy!
  9. I think go on one more date, and then if it's still confusing, write it off as "too confusing". Dates can be confusing, but by the third date you should kinda know if you're attracted enough to not mind if it's confusing. If it's still bugging you then it's probably not good to continue.
  10. Enthusiasm for Music - 21% Musical Perception - 18% Emotional Connection - 5% Social Creativity - 5% Musical Curiosity - 19% LOW for everything! Scored much better than i expected on the actual music tests (yet still managed overall low). Bit miffed at only 5% emotional connection! Nawt the case. I think it's cos i answered no to questions like "do certain songs give you a shiver down your spine?". Well no, i don't literally get an actual shiver (do some people?). I still emotionally relate though.
  11. Dat cup.
  12. And found this Chris Rock bit about min wage funny/relatable:
  13. I copied this idea from teh internets: Didn't taste that nice, but who cares?? It's hot dogs with noodle tails!
  14. I totally do. Someone should donate one to me so i'm not subjected to Smartprice torture!
  15. OH MY GOD THAT HAS TO HAPPEN.
  16. ... turns out it's not a good idea to pay only 49p for a jar of coffee. Who knew!

  21. First time i played OOT and Link gets trapped in the Temple of Time for 7 years. Mind blown. REmake - Lisa's cabin. Enough said. Killer 7 - pretty much the whole game had me enthralled. Those are the memories that stand out for me!
  22. Aw MAN, my first ebay sale has ended underwhelmingly. i was selling a pair of Dylan Moran stand up comedy gig tickets because i can't go to the gig anymore (*cry*). There were ELEVEN people 'watching' the item, so i figured there would be a massive bid war, but when i came back to check after the item ended, only one of those people had placed a bid in the end, so they went for the minimum starting bid! Ugh, don't know why so many people bothered to watch the item if they didn't even bother bidding in the end. I was hoping to watch a crazy bid war dammit! Didn't even make half my money back that i paid for the tix now.
  23. I went into Harvey Nichols today and bought Hello Panda biscuits, cos i'm a SOPHISTICATED BASTARD.
  24. Oh gawd. What has Murray thrown his toys out the pram for *this* time?? It's always sounded doomed anyway, even from the start. They should just let this project die in peace!
  25. *daydreams*
