I think it's time for a Disney Infinity/Skylanders type amiibo action platformer. Either that or they'll rush some DLC for 3D World for November release. Or maybe Metroid, finally?

Disappointing but obviously the game will be better for it. The Game Awards footage couldn't have looked any more unpolished if they'd tried. Massive shame not even an E3 presence though.

Wii complains about spending 12 quid on Shovel Knight, you guys really think he'll reach into his purse strings enough to spend £300+ on a new console? It's the stubborness and close-minded attitude that bugs me. Passing on 3D World because it's isometric. Passing on Captain Toad because "he didn't ask for it". There are probably more great Wii U games he's missing out on for some stupid reason or another. I just don't get it.

Wait a second, Splatoon doesn't have voice chat?? Why didn't anyone say!! As mentioned in the Splatoon thread, I'm a little unhappy about it being classed a budget title. It doesn't give me much hope for a long single player campaign or a huge amount of content in the game. I suppose they've said they'll be supporting post-launch so DLC could make up for it in the future.

The cliffhanger was a genuine :o:o moment for me, can't believe I didn't see it coming. Hopefully act 2 is just as good as the first. (also hope it comes to Mac on release!)

I loved Kinda Funny's Gamescast the week before last, with Keza MacDonald. She's fantastic, talks so much sense and loads of interesting things to say. I wish IGN hadn't let her go.

I get it. Dear god I get it. You've repeated your stance a million times. I know why you want voice chat. I know how important it is to you. I know how much it adds to multiplayer games. Can we please please please just move on now?

If Splatoon had voice chat, and the Wii U had incredible online integration and social features, I don't think it would be any difference to sales figures. Mainstream gaming has moved on to vacuous cinematic games where realistic cutscenes, shooters and/or hack and slash gameplay is king.

Number of members has nothing to do with it. The percentage of positive posts there is in the vast majority. Here it's in the minority. Rich coming from someone who seems to live for arguing on message boards and dragging said arguments out. I could ask the same of a number of vocal individuals on here who clearly fell out of love with Nintendo a long time ago. Is there no Playstation-Europe forum?

The difference is, those posts are a minority and even if they weren't the complaining is restricted to quick "that sucks" posts, never to be mentioned again. Let alone mentioned again 20 times. The contrast between there and here in terms of Nintendo chat is night and day, 10x more positive there.

Yoshi's New Island was my first Yoshi game and I have to say I wasn't really a fan. The terrible music, the dodgy art style, the frustrating collectables, the whole game just felt very off to me. Like a bad dream. Hopefully this is a little less baby-ish and has a bit more character/polish.
