What a stupid article. 1. Announcing NX (which could very well be a new handheld) was only done to assure people that they weren't giving up on dedicated console gaming. 2. Zelda isn't going to do a Twilight Princess and be a launch title for the NX. The timing is all wrong. 3. Has the guy ever heard of E3 ffs? It's in two months. Why would they announce new Wii U games now? The Nintendo Direct was packed full of content, nothing ground-breaking but there was loads there. Ignorant rubbish from that online gaming colossus "Venture Beat".

No, at least not in the current gen. Wii U might not have a huge library of games but the games that are out are excellent. Mario U, Luigi U, Pikmin, Lego City, ZombiU, Wonderful 101, Rayman, Wind Waker, 3D World, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad, Smash Bros.... all brilliant games, with Splatoon, Yoshi, Kirby, Zelda, Xenoblade, Mario Maker and Star Fox on the way. Not just quality over quantity but diversity as well: from the above there's: 2D platformer, strategy adventure, openworld adventure, survival horror, action strategy, action adventure, 3D platformer, kart racer, hack and slash, 3D puzzler, brawler, third person shooter, RPG, level creator and space shooter. A decent mix I'd say.

Even I wouldn't provoke the PS4 cheerleaders THAT much!! Might be worth skipping the next ten pages

I can imagine Wii arguing over the cost of a Happy Meal, and the relative value of the toys inside compared to the cost (in Euros of course) of the meal as a whole.

Are you surprised? His obsession with voice chat made him want to return MK8 and Smash. It's a little odd, to say the least. Now the Wii U "isn't a good enough to console to deserve to sell well" so he's over the moon it's flopping. All because of Nintendo's lack of voice chat. Cringe.

It's typical immature entitled gamer talk, something a 14 year old would say. The majority of gamers aren't as utterly OBSESSED with voice chat as you. Splatoon looks to be a fantastic game that many reports have said is revolutionising the shooter genre. It's a brand new IP and looks to be a lot of fun. Fingers crossed it does very well.

My point is Peer mentions all the time that the reason Nintendo don't like voice chat is because of the issue of kids talking to strangers. If anyone knows Nintendo it's him. The gaming press realise that's the issue and just accept it. They'll bring it up as a negative in reviews but will accept that that's how Nintendo are. Frustrating as it is for us "regular" gamers.

The gaming press know it's because Nintendo don't want kids talking to strangers. They accept it, and move on. @Hero\-of\-Time you must hear IGN talk about it a lot. Peer mentions it all the time as the reason they don't like voice chat. If there's anyone you should trust with insight into Nintendo, it's him. I'm not sure what they can do. How can they stop kids adding strangers as friends?

To be fair the Nintendo store cancellations were a one-off mistake which they then attempted to rectify. If an amiibo says Pre-order from Nintendo UK store then they're available. If Shop.to or GAME say Pre-order it's a lottery whether they will actually fulfill your order.

Some nice bits of info in there. Good to hear there are other online modes as well as Turf Wars and Splat Zones. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME.

Grazza threw a hissy fit because some 9 year old kid blocked him from his post, posted about it on here, then probably forgot about it 20 minutes later. Meanwhile some posters chose to stick the knife in as usual in this thread and argue against a standard common sense feature of these sorts of social networks. All very silly and pointless.

Thank you. Sense at last.

Fair enough I just assumed there was one giant cave system to explore area by area.

Nintendo's Plans for DLC and Microtransactions Point to Changed Priorities
Ronnie replied to Wii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Great post -
The positivity lasted about two days and funnily enough the usual suspects were predictably absent from the praise Nintendo were getting. Loads of new faces showed up, and then disappeared again, which illustrated nicely how the board's constant negativity has driven so many people away.
-
They seem to be immune to praise on this message board. Every single post is criticising something. This thread is just whinge after whinge after whinge. Now we're just scrapping the bottom of the barrel, complaining that you can block users on Miiverse really isn't such a big deal.
-
Ask the person who blocked Grazza and he'll probably tell you he was being harassed. Now we're moaning about Miiverse's ability to block people. This Nintendo forum is a joke at times.
