  1. You're looking at it in black and white. The crux of the matter is he gained a clear advantage by controlling the ball with the part of the arm that is not allowed. Whether you agree with that rule is neither here nor there, until they change the rule, it's needs to be abided by.
  2. It's pure physics. Unless you're facing the ball when it comes in, it's going to bounce off your chest to the left unless your arm is there or you happen to have a left breast that protrudes a metre or so out of your chest. Did create anything? The Gervinho miss was the easiest chance of the game.
  3. This weekend has been an absolute nightmare for officials, not just referees. I don't really like players and managers blaming referees after games but having seen some of the decisions that are being made with what seems like increasing frequency, you can't really blame them. Fair enough if the ref comes out and admits a mistake, he's human. It's this whole secret society, where the refs scurry away and the managers get fined for questioning why someone has just made a baffling decision to ruin a game. As we've started to say on a Sunday night at football; they're not refs, they're football ruiners!
  4. Ah, similar effect to the atkins then? Massive initial drop but not that great long term. Although it does work, some people need to see results quickly and if that motivates them to keep going, then it's all good.
  5. Is that even healthy? that's over half a stone in 7 days. Although i'm sure most people would love to loose weight that quickly, it surely can't be sustainable in the long run.
  6. I did it in 4 hours and 17 minutes. I was gutted I didn't make it in under 4 hours, although that last about 10 seconds until I realised I was just happy to make it without dying
  7. That's a good time for 10km, I just about hit under 30 mins last week the same distance but that isn't speed that anywhere sustainable for a long period. A marathon is basically 4 x 10km's, yeah it's tiring but being a runner yourself you'll know about the sort of resolve you develop with the more running you do. You develop a determination to get through it when you're just not feeling it. I just reminded myself that I didn't have to run ever again when I did it You won't struggle for endurance, it's just the pain in the muscles that can be quite bad.
  8. Yeah, I did one last year. First off, don't run every day. You want to always try and give yourself a rest day, although back-to-back every so often won't hurt, just don't go like 14 days continually. You need to give your muscles time to rest and it will start to become too much like a chore. It really depends on how fit you are currently. Maybe start week 1 doing 30 mins continually 4 times a week. Ramp that up by 15 mins the next week and so on. Once you've reached the stage of being able to run for an hour no problem, you're pretty much there. Obviously a marathon will take a lot longer than an hour but unless you want to run for 3 hours every time, you're going to have to take a little pain. At that stage anyway it won't be you're endurance that hurts you, just a lot of blisters and associated pain from stressing muscles for over 4 hours. It's all mind over matter
  9. They'll all never be as good as Friday Night Lights. /Bitter.
  10. I bet Chelsea had wished Kalou had done a Tevez and refused to come on
  11. I used to be like that but once I started doing early shifts it really wasn't an option if I actually wanted to function amongst the living. Come the weekend though, i'm all for it, especially if I've had an early start but know i'm off the next day.
  12. It's takes the focus off of us for one night at least I'm cautiously optimistic about tomorrow, hopefully being at home will be enough to overcome some of the injuries we've picked up.
  13. Yep, as I said a few weeks ago, they're definitely one of the top contenders for the title. Their defence let them down last year, this year so far they've given up 1 goal in their past 11 games.
  14. I bet Mancini is gone fairly soon. Which is a shame but the club aren't going to mess with all their star players they've just brought in. Fair play though, great to see him not backing down.
  15. Aye. Not to mention the fans who have spent hundreds of pounds to get to Germany and watch the game. The guy just seems to do what he pleases, wouldn't surprise me if Mancini was out before him.
  16. Money can buy you all the players in the world but it can't buy team spirit and togetherness and a will to win for each other. Dzeko sulked like a little girl when taking off and Tevez refused to come one. If I was a City fan i'd be livid with the little twat, at no level of football do you refuse to come on, let alone in the biggest European match the clubs has had in a long, long time. Not forgetting the £200,000 a week he's picking up.
  17. I'll pretty much watch anything with Natalie Portman in it, A few people have told me good things about the film as well though.
  18. In a similar position myself. I'm probably leaning more towards the iBeats as they're cheaper, though i'm not a massive fan of the red cabling. The Gaga ones look hideous in my view and I just can't wear earphones associated with Diddy I do like the Tour Beats but some of the reviews said they were a bit cumbersome. I think i'll just get the iBeats, the reviews were pretty decent and it's not a great expense really. Will just need to get used to the red cabling...
  19. I had a few people I hadn't seen in a while actually failing to recognise me nowadays. Always a nice feeling, and it's good to see the effects of all the handwork i'v put in over the past year.
  20. Never thought we'd see a new Blink album, i'm glad we did.
  21. We lost our match at 5-a-sides last week by a late goal scored from a free kick that was taken 15 yards further on than where it should have been. It still hurts
