  1. It's always their fault, you make a choice to take drugs, you don't just suddenly ingest them whilst eating a Mars. I've seen some pretty disturbing things due to the effects of drugs and you clearly have been affected too but my view isn't wrong because it doesn't correspond with yours. I just don't get the whole 'it's ok to do drugs if you've had a shitty life'. Addiction is addiction, whether that be to Tobacco, Alcohol or Drugs. Yes, they all have differing physical effects but mentally addiction is the same.
  2. The he should have been immediately dismissed for kicking the ball away...
  3. To start with i'm not happy she's dead, I didn't celebrate when I heard it, I just wasn't surprised. As for everyone going on about addicition and what it does to families, i've seen it happen twice to very close family members and having done everything possible to help them and have it shoved back in your face everytime, it then becomes difficult to suddenly feel sorry for them when the inevitable happens. It's obviously not that easy though, because they are still family and subconsciously you'll never loose sight of that and you'll always wonder if there was anything else you could have done. On the other side, having also seen someone die from a terrible disease such as Cancer and knowing they can't do anything about it, I struggle to empathise with addicts, a disease they have so much control over, if only they want to. Obviously with Amy, I have no emotional ties so I can see it differently. People will always disagree but just because you're not in pieces and don't consider her dying in any way tragic doesn't mean you're wrong or sick. She isn't a martyr and some people would do well to remember that.
  4. Had a shitty life excuse just doesn't cut it, many people have had far a shitter life with no discernible talent like hers and haven't turned to drugs. I feel sorry for her family, watching someone do that to themselves and refuse all your help is awful, trust me.
  5. She released a song which included lyrics flaunting her drug abuse and how she wasn't going to stop. Pretty much says it all.
  6. I'd get Denzel Washington. Although he'd have to do a Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder, in reverse.
  7. Well done Mancini. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Love the Yank commentary.
  8. It's not that bad for a beginner, you just need to keep playing. It really is a game of repetition.
  9. What was your gross score? I've been playing a lot in the last few months, really enjoying it. Nothing better on a nice day than spending a few hours on the Course with friends/family.
  10. That's what happens nowadays, anything that becomes mainstream or gets the success it deserves instantly becomes uncool and always leads to people banging on about selling out.
  11. Just back from seeing it. Initial impressions are very good. Although I wouldn't say the 3D in it is bad it doesn't really add to the film and you'll most likely be concentrating on other things on screen to notice it much. That said, it's not used like a gimmick like in Saw 3D but it's effects are subtle nonetheless. It's always satisfying to see everything wrap up but I still think Goblet of Fire is my favourite. For me, it was the events of that book/film that really moved the story forward.
  12. I'm not rubbishing anything at all, just not agreeing. Yes I stated what i'm doing won't work for everyone but that goes for everything else you posted, it might work for one person, it might not for another. I didn't comment on whether anything was dangerous or unhealthy, merely that doing what you say doesn't work has worked very well for me and for others I know.
  13. I've got a late showing on Friday night, gonna re-watch The Deathly Hallows Part 1 tomorrow so I can remember all their names again....
  14. It's a little hypocritical to slag off Linkin Park and then post songs from Jennifer Lopez and Brandy. At the end of the day everyone has different tastes. Bard clearly likes his music to challenge him and isn't into repeating three power chord riffs. I consider myself to have awesome skills on the guitar but I won't judge a band on what they can or can't play but that's just me. Some people only like music that is liked by 3 other people in the world, and instantly hate it as soon as they get a 4th fan. It's a little immature to slag off someones tastes just because you value your own so much more. Wise the fuck up and start Rocking in the free World.
  15. I'd disagree with the not eating the same thing. I've been doing that and have lost over 5 stone, now what works for me won't work for everyone but so many of these so called rules that you must follow are bollocks. As for exercise, i've never been near a gym. There's no better exercise you can do than running and anyone can (barring physical disability of course). As Eunuh is doing, you have to start of slow. It's amazing how quickly your body can improve itself, literally after a couple of runs you can feel the difference. I started off just doing 15 minutes a few times a week, I now run for 3 hours a week, 1 hour at a time. That equates to 25 miles (40km) a week. Even after that I'm not tired, it just becomes a bit boring running for too long. According to my iPod, the fastest i've clocked for 10km is 46.33 minutes.
  16. Yet to check it out, but it's got Noah Wyle in it, so it will clearly be excellent.
  17. With how much control Rowling has had in the Films, I very much doubt she's signed off all control of what happens with the franchise. Anyway, no way they'd make any more films without her consent, the fans wouldn't have it.
  18. I am Number Four is a shit film. Although the Dog in it is awesome, i'd love a Dog that like that.
  19. I think most are a bit concerned, but I have no doubt that Wenger is working hard on it, he's not just going to amble along to the start of the season and then realise we're fucked. As for Nasri and Fabregas, they can fuck off for all I care, they've clearly no desire to play for the shirt. I'd happily take £60 million for those two, plenty able replacements available. They keep saying how they want to win trophies, yet they seem to forget that it's up to them as players to get the job done. They were both excellent before Christmas last season but when the job needed to be done and the pressure was on the line they both didn't turn up.
  20. I'd imagine there's probably a few more people looking forward to watching this too. I've got my ticket for the 21.20 showing on Friday and i'm rather excited.
  21. I thought one of the problems with the second was some of the Comedy bits being in the wrong places, like during a serious scene. I thought this one did a much better job of that pacing wise.
  22. Just back from seeing it, will post some more thought tomorrow but I loved it. Really don't understand the fuss about the new girl, it's like people are expecting an Oscar like performance. Michael Bay blows shit up in his films, not much else.
  23. A torn Leg muscle has stopped me from doing much this week, which is a pain considering how active I was last week with playing Golf everyday and 2 games of football and a spot of Tennis on the weekend. Unfortunately it's gonna take about a month to heal up. It's basically left me with nothing to do but eat. I'm not that bothered however as I know I can easily lose any weight I might put on once i'm fit.
