Weirdly, I've seen very few Micros for sale at car boots/CEX. Probably why I don't have one. I think I'm also missing a transparent GB Pocket and a purple GBC. I remember owning both as a kid, but I have no idea what happened to them.

Finally decided to gather all my Nintendo handhelds (and related hardware) in one place and take stock. 12 consoles in total. Not bad. Quite happy with the last photo. Whilst I did try to arrange them by age, I noticed after that each column has a theme. From left to right: Mono, Colour, Backlit, Dual Screen.
-
Also bought this from @Happenstance so that me and the other half can play at the same time: *not my actual console

Well, the noise has stopped. Audio

Pokemon Moon for me, Pokemon Sun for my girlfriend: Can't open/play them until Christmas though. Stupid Christmas...

Was still alive this morning. Haven't been back to the house yet, so not sure. If it were rats, we almost certainly seen evidence in the pantry, as it links directly outside and it's where all the food is kept.

Picked up DiRT Rally from the PSN and it's a cracking game for the money. Hard as nails, but still good fun. One of the best handling racing games of this generation I'd say.

Judging by the 2 dead ones we found in there when we re-opened the bottom to refurb it, probably not. This basically. We sealed the bottom of it and it's all plastered shut. No way to open the bottom without tearing it all apart. There's not a lot they can do really, other than tearing our fireplace apart or getting up on the roof. Neither of which they'll be willing to do I imagine. Edit: From HERE: "If the chimney is sealed at the bottom then the only way to help the bird will be to make a hole in your wall! You need to decide if you are willing to have this done and you need to have someone there who will do this. A wildlife rescue will not be able to do this for you." I thought that, but as far as I know, the only way into the chimney is through the opening at the top. Definitely no way in on ground level. I'm fairly sure the rustling is too loud for rats too.

We have a bird trapped in our chimney. It's either pay someone to come out and potentially demolish our fireplace to get it out, or listen to it rustle around for a few days until it eventually dies. We have neither the money, not the desire to do the former, so we get the delightful knowledge that a bird is slowly dying in our chimney. Joy. I thought the chimney would have been capped when the fireplace was sealed up ages ago, but I guess not. Will definitely see to that at some point.

Was cheaper to buy this than the 2 DLCs separately: Also:

Take dice with loads of sides, then every so often throw them and say "Interesting..." and write something down. Neckbeard optional.

Surely that's exactly where the deception lies? They planned to release the 3ds version, whilst keeping the fact that a "better" version is coming out so soon after a secret. We only know about it through a leak. I personally don't care and I'll still be getting Moon, but I can see why people would be pissed.

Mount Your Friends highlight. My personal favourite quote "He is literally going from penis to penis"

Figured I'd start a thread for people to show off their Photoshop skills. Some of mine: Not purely Photoshop, as I also took the photos, but it was a combination of 3 of my photos:
-
Couldn't really think of a thread to put this in, but I absolutely love the style of this video: Also liked the music in this one: I thought of putting it in the music thread, but I figured I'd use it as an excuse to start a (non gaming) retro thread. So does anyone else have anything interesting and retro to post? Maybe some retro items they own? I'll post some of my retro cameras and other gadgets when I get chance.

For those that didn't see it (I only just did), here is our article in the Bury Times.

Time lapse of the whole UK event is now up:

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who donated, watched the stream or supported us in any way. It's been unreal. The generosity of Andy, Gaynor and the whole arcade club team has been phenomenal. Even after the event, I still have a hard time believing it. Everything we could have wanted was supplied to us. TVs, consoles, facilities, advice everything. Utterly unbelievable levels of generosity. And the sense of community from the staff and customers was incredible. It sounds a bit tacky, but there was a genuine love for the place coming from everyone. Everyone spoke with a fondness for all the machines and the venue, which fed into our event nicely. After having some non-gamers literally laugh in my face when I told them what we were doing, it was a welcome change. And the generosity from our donors was also staggering. When I set the target at £500, I worried I was being too optimistic. When we beat it, I was relieved and hoped we could maybe get to £1,000. Once we'd broke that, I was amazed and although I thought it would be incredible to get £1,500, I didn't think for a second that we would. But the donations kept coming (and still are) and I am genuinely amazed by it. I really can't thank everyone enough for everything. Please, if you are ever in the area, call in at Arcade Club. I guarantee you'll find it hard to meet a better bunch of people. Double post Fuck, knew I forgot something. I also want to say a huge thanks to Adam (@flameboy). He was the one that organised the first Extra Life, so without him, none of this would have happened. I've always seen Extra Life (and by extension, the MadDog Marathon) as his project and we just keep it going (in this country) in his absence.

To be fair, they probably bought the shoes before the outrage. It's not like anyone is buying them just to burn them. Plus the article also said people are also taking them back for refunds.

US Presidential Election 2016 - Nightmare Mode
Goafer replied to gaggle64's topic in General Chit Chat
In that case, it's now been reinforced as a legitimate viewpoint. It's crazy. The US has gone from the first black president, a huge leap forwards in terms of acceptance and equality, to borderline-Hitler. -

My thoughts (copied an pasted from Facebook, because I'm a lazy shit): Whilst I have the privilege to say "Oh well, I'm white, male and straight, all this Brexit/Trump lark probably won't effect me", it still worries me. It worries me because it's giving the impression that there's a correct religion, a correct sexuality, a correct gender and so forth. Right now, LGBT people, Muslims and women are the target, and that is disgusting in itself, but what happens when the focus turns to goths. Or geeks. Or anyone else who doesn't religiously conform to the pre-assigned "correct" behavior. Who are the next "Faggots"? I'm under no illusion as to how easy I have things, but what is going on right now is still an attack on the freedom to be who you want to be. And that is unacceptable. -
It's just an electric one we picked up to fill the gap. The wood basket/ornaments hide the wire that plugs in behind the wood basket. We rarely use it, as it's not really up to the task of heating the room. It's just for aesthetics. I'd love a real log burner, and we could re-open the chimney, but I'd be paranoid about having a roaring fire inside the house, even if it was a planned one.

Seeing as we finally finished the mantelpiece at the weekend, I figured I'd actually reply to this. My Dad managed to find a nice, aged piece of wood for the shelf, so he varnished it for us to match our other furniture.

The last Halloween episode went up and it might be my favourite episode we've done: -
Can I auction my name to the highest bidder and take MoogleViper when he becomes Dr. bob?
