  1. Tenderly placed. Ripped the box to shreds with great prejudice though.
  2. Now there's a post I wish I could have reacted to with every emote. Opted for giving it a heart as by the time I read through the Majora's Mask section it became apparent that's what you're lacking. On a more serious note, I replayed OoT 3D a year ago and whilst I'm looking forward to running through it again sometime on the big screen via NSO, going back to bringing up the menu to swap items (iron boots...!) could be a flow stopper. I never got MM 3D so I can only imagine how much the touch screen menu would have streamlined mask swapping. It can't have been easy to go back to the N64 original in that respect. Putting everything together to get the Couple's Mask for the first time felt to me like I was cracking some kind of code. Great experience whether it holds up today or not.
  3. Not being privy to your goings on on Playstation, I was oblivious to your attempts at eking info out of me on this game. As I mentioned, Hades has just never looked good to me and that goes back to seeing it in the Directs... what I mean by that is, the graphics look well crafted but it doesn't strike me as a game that looks fun to play. Yet I keep checking in on it (when there's an eShop sale) because all that game of the year praise it was showered with can't be wrong. You've commented on the boon system, but how does movement and attacking feel, then? I've recently played Bastian as per your rec, is character weight and speed comparable to that?
  4. My adventure in the forgotten land remains ongoing, however, I've played enough to have enjoyed that tune. Had to hold back from putting it in the music thread! The following world is another cracker. To be sure, it would be interesting to hear fresh impressions from someone who hasn't played it before. I'll post somewhere with my updated thoughts when I eventually get around to it but I do genuinely remember the camera being a struggle compared to lakitu as it seemed to catch on things and not pan with your run the way it did in Mario 64. Or maybe I'm misremembering how naturally Mario 64 managed to frame the action--I'm not exactly replaying these things every week haha. EDIT: Returning to say that tune from world 3 is stuck in my head again.
  5. He wasn't really landing those punches in Ali so probably doesn't know any better. It's a while now since he was fending for himself in West Philadelphia. Their whole life and marriage is just a product for clicks and attention so I'm leaning towards this being manufactured until I know otherwise. That includes the shouting from his seat--they gave him best actor after all.
  6. Nor was I. I saw Coda on the winners' list but meant I haven't seen the film. Le Famille Bélier was pretty decent so I take it this version is too, although it seems like a classic Oscars misdirect since all the talk I saw seemed to be around Belfast, The Power of the Dog and to a lesser extent Don't Look Up, with Coda appearing to be there just to make up the numbers. Maybe that says more about the info I'm exposed to. Dune did great, as deserved. At first glance earlier, Cruella getting best costume design seemed a bit of a weird one, however now I think about it, I do recall Kermode (must have been as I don't check very many other film reviews) commenting on what she wears in that so maybe it's a fair shout. As for Will Smith... that must have been planned... doesn't it look fake to anyone else? I need a different angle on it...
  7. Just skimmed the winners and haven't seen Coda...
  8. Getting that for a fifth of the price is such a bargain. Great find.
  9. You should try it if you have the Expansion Pack so you can form your own opinion, although if you aren't too bothered about it, it's totally fine and skippable as the likes of this Kirby game and Mario Odyssey have you more than covered. If/ when I get around to it on NSO, my opinion could change (for better or worse...!) but here's what I remember from the late 90s anyway. Best things I can say about it is it has that Rareware personality, the music's decent enough and it's cool of them to have been exploring the possibility of stop 'n' swap. However, the camera's ropey at best and way behind Mario 64, and you have to combine button presses for your moves and find pads in the levels so you can do stuff so the gameplay's a pain. I don't have it for N64 however did borrow it soon after release and played up to Rusty Bucket Bay and was shown the ending, so hopefully, you'll see I'm not just being a contrarian for the sake of it. Plus being a Nintendo and Rareware fan you'd've thunk I'd've loved B-K unconditionally... but not so! If you've played DK 64 you know what to expect, sadly. As I said, I'm open to firing it up some time since it's sitting there on the Switch but yeah it's not mandatory to automatically be on board with everything. Ah, okay. Now I know what you're getting at. No examples spring to mind at the moment however I remember a lot of hoo-ha around Ocarina of Time because of the way it brings in the enemy encounter music and fades it back out again. You just couldn't do that on discs, you know!
  10. Thanks, Bowserbasher. Not an amazing rate at either of our islands this Sunday but should turn a nice profit during the week. Now we watch and wait.
  11. Maybe I didn't understand what @Ronniemeant then.
  12. Chrono Trigger and Mario World? When I was wee I thought it was lazy.
  13. Received with thanks and not donated to the museum.
  14. I notched up about 30 hours on it with a roughly a 10 min average playtime. There was a while there where the last thing I did in the day was play it and when it was time to pay up or let the timers recharge, that was my cue to close the 3DS and call it a night.
  15. You'll get some pushback from Kirby Clash... because it's one of those free-to-start games and wants you to put real money into it. Dream Course has its moments too but it's a putting game (golf) so maybe not what you're thinking of.
  16. One of the early bosses found out the hard way what a Kirby difficulty spike was when they came across me, in spike form.
  17. I'll have to check what's in the letterbox. Thought it was just clogged up with all the daily purchases I'm getting from Redd to try and make him cycle in what I need (if that's how it works).
  18. Couple of nice looking trailers popped up in my YouTube feed too. The golf game sounds nice too.
  19. I would have given you a heads up but the decreasing pattern was more probable right up until the large spike became imminent. Might have even waited myself! Since Nook's Cranny is near the airport I added some fencing to remove any temptation they might have to make it a social visit, and once I saw the first flights coming in I got up and left it--didn't fancy sitting through a few hours of close your windows, someone's arriving and close your windows, someone's leaving. Otherwise, I didn't mind doing it as it's always easy to find randomers to help out when N-E can't and sure it's not every day your island has a decent spike so it's nice to do it when your turn comes. I came back to find a couple of bells, empty cans, clumps of weeds, fossils and clothes items, etc around my character. LOL! Maybe I should have been guarding the airport and asking for the art items I need!
  20. Just before you cast me like a possessed die, what happens if you die is similar to Mario Odyssey. There. Now you know. Since you won't have croaked it in this game to find out for yourself. Every little helps. Keep em coming!
  21. Are you another one suffering from a bout of elden ring, Duffers?
  22. CC me in, drahky! I died on the waterworks level as Stairby but hopefully I'm still worthy.
  23. Masuda only roused himself to get involved when he saw it wasn't shaping up to be 1-to-1 with the DS original!
