    Everything's based on the games... I say games, but I mean visual novels - there is just text to read, with character sprites in music. And there's a lot of text - each arc is longer than the average book. I've read some bits of them - all the TIPS and pieces (which are translated on animesuki, and give extra information and background), and the start of Minagoroshi-hen, because there's a patch. I've also translated the first 4 chapters of Onikakushi-hen, and read random other bits for fun. Anyway, the games, are definitely way better than the anime, but the anime requires less commitment, and actually gets translated.

    You definitely have to watch the first to get the second, but as for comparison, I'm not sure. I'd say my favourite arc in the game is Onikakushi-hen, but it was poorly done in the anime... I like Tsumihoroboshi-hen and Minagoroshi-hen a lot more. However, the animation and sakuga quality is undeniably better in kai. Episode 22 was great, but after seeing the raw of 23, it's not so good. I hope they have a decent final episode.

    *evil laughter* I hope you're watching the first season, because the second will make little sense to you... also, the third arc (beginning episode 9) is where things start getting really good.

    One he didn't cover - black flies in Chardonnay. Now the irony is supposed to be that a black fly is in white wine. Clever, eh? ...no. That's not irony at all, it's just contrast.

    Sacred stones is probably the easiest fire emblem, because you can go back and fight people all the time, so you don't have to worry about how to assign experience as there's plenty to go round.

    Please to be back on topic. Anyhoo, my childhood was very cyclical, but I think everyone's is. I used to wish for Christmas and birthdays... now I just want to go back to university. :wink:

    This looks to be suitably awesome, Fire Emblem is great. Things I like that reviewers don't: Stats, loads of them. Depth. Lots of text. (hell, my favourite game has more unvoiced dialogue than the bible) Challenge. Watching the little animations. Length. Planning being necessary. The fact that when people are dead, they die.

    I already have Zelda for the Gamecube, and I can't decide whether or not to trade in RE4... I'd definitely rather have Galaxy or Metroid.

    That's cool. Anyway, I've done pretty much nothing today, apart from browse the internet for Wii stock at a reasonable price. I managed it in the end, GAME got some stock in just now.

    Well I just got a new Wii from GAME... along with Zelda, RE4 and Smackdown! vs Raw 2008... I think I'll sell the latter, but otherwise all is cool.

    I'd say that's debatable, though they definitely have some merits. But I don't want to argue, so continue with your happy thread. :wink:
