  1. I quite enjoyed Giest, and would love to see it reborn under the New Play Control brand. Its main critism was controls- easily sorted with the Wii Remote.
  2. C'mon, dual analogue has ALWAYS been an archaic set up for FPS- nothing more than a means to an end really.
  3. I don't understand why Nintendo are so tight with their friend rosters- this isn't an issue with Live, is it?
  4. Friend roster maxed out- at 32. I'm still waiting for the following people to add me- Pure Magic Agata DS Kirbi Maddog MayMay Hellfire ShadowV7
  5. I'm not sure, but i'm regularly disconnected while playing with you, Tales. 4 or 5 times so far. I believe the system also manages your people and connection. I attempted to connect to Maase earlier, but Copper told me that there were 3, yes 3 including the host Maase, people in this town and he couldn't let me join 'such a crowded town'.
  6. More of a wishlist than speculation. Near silent operation. Perhaps a way of very quickly transferring the whole game to a dedicated portion of Solid State every time the disk is inserted. Ambience. Includes temperature changes in Remotes. Ambient lighting. TV mounted IR camera. Able to distinguish eyes, head and finger movement. Could allow for cover options in games, camera movement, option selecting a la Minority Report. Built in WiiSpeak. Proper 'always on' connection. Ability to download titles when in standby. 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. More of a Live online service.
  7. For those who are on the wall about WiiSpeak, i'd definately recommend it- it really completes the whole online experience. Its a great piece of kit, far less intrusive than a headset (and preferable in my opinion- it makes more sense for the sound of on screen characters to come from the screen). Appreciate its not a cheap purchase- especially since its only really used for a fraction of the game, but don't let the whole 'its not a headset' argument put you off.
  8. I'm online this evening - anyone wishing to visit, please bring me a spade (i'll pay 500 bells!)
  9. I don't know if it did. I mean no developer really wants to make a bad game, casual or not. But the issue remains- were simply not seeing Ubisofts key titles on Wii. Hopefully, like Nintendo, 2008 has just been a blip year for Ubisoft.
  10. Has anyone ordered from Gameplay? Ordered mine early afternoon yesterday, it progressed really quick to 'preparing for despatch' but has sat there since 2.30...
  11. I'm such a grumpy F**ker "Nothing new, blah blah blah"... However, temptation is far too great... PURCHASED.
  12. I've got to agree. Its like Nintendo woke up the morning of E3 and thought "shit, we've forgotten Christmas"- much like they've forgotten 2008 in general.
  13. I'm iffing and ahhing over this (as folk say round my parts). I'm desperately disappointed by the lack of features, but i'm being drawn to it all the same. For those who have it, can you visit others' towns when they're not online? I'm right in thinking you can't send mail unless your in their town? What are the online features exactly?
  14. Has the framerate issue with certain multiformat games been resolved for PS3?
  15. We wish. Animal Crossing could be seen as one of the precursors to Home, but it'd be totally unfair to compare the two.
  16. What was the trigger for the emotion man to appear in Wild World?
  17. Mario Sunshine is yet another game which should be re-worked for Play on Wii (although, somehow i doubt it will). There was no part of Sunshine which was bad, i just think we expected the next big leap- in fact, Sunshine stands up as one of last generation's greatest platformer. And where were the wire mess mazes and telegraph wires in Galaxy?
  18. I don't think its a solid argument to say they can't keep up with demand. The only part of the Wii and Wii Remote, which would need to be changed is the casing, which is probably manufactured by a third party anyway and wouldn't be too hard to have a run of black plastic in the mould.
  19. Question. If you delete the Mario Kart Channel from the menu, do you still recieve the next competition messages?
  20. Great news. A little over two months wait.
  21. With the name eXite traX, which i think is rather clever. I'd be all for a Motorstorm inspired Exite game, with magic online please.
  22. Yes, I'm still making the same posts. Nintendo are again recycling the N64 game, completely disregarding the extra horsepower of Wii and the added features it would bring. And this is a company that only a few weeks ago accused Third Parties of 'not getting Wii', while Miyamoto actually APOLOGISED for Zelda and even Mario Galaxy (the freshest game in years) not being new and fresh enough. So, while we're all desperate for Wii exclusives, built to make the most out of Wii, what example is AC setting to third parties? I'll be blatently honest, i too would probably enjoy AC, i'm a huge fan of the series, love it in fact, but there's as much new here, as in one of EA's annual updates. And they infuriate me. So, maybe I am sounding like a bit of a broken record, but perhaps thats fitting for Animal Crossing at the moment.
