as long as i've got some decent stories, and this young whipper snapper acts his pants off, i'll be perfectly happy.

The signs are good that we'll see these in 480p. I'm sure all were progressive scan on Gamecube in the States (this feature was removed for European releases). So far DK and Pikmin are getting a widescreen overhaul, so progressive scan should really be a given.

Until there's some decent exclusive titles, the DSi is simply not worth the investment.

Personally, i'm doubting that we'll see a major overhaul of the franchise in Wii's lifetime. Look at Phantom Hourglass, which could give a hint at where the team will take the next game in the series- Phantom Hourglass is quintessentially Zelda but with a new interface designed around the touchscreen. I have no doubt the next Zelda will follow this- by perhaps adding 1:1 fighting with Motion+, or even taking its queue from PH or Animal Crossing with pointing controls.

i felt- and more of a critisism of me- that i'd have appreciated the game more with more of an understanding of Japanese Mythology. There were times when i felt i was just 'missing something'. All that said, its a sublime game. I'd agree with most of the critisism here but don't let that put you off.

Rah. UK when?

this 'theard' is nothing short of hilarious.

I really hope this gets a European release to actually sell well. The fact that they refer to european markets is surely a good sign.

Is it cofirmed we're getting flippable covers?

Don't know where your getting Wii games from, but the highest price i've paid for a Wii game is £32.99 inc postage. Better had be.

Both GAME and Amazon have New Play Control! Pikmin listed as being release in February- as a full price game- £30. I'm sure it was said this series was a budget range. Are we Europeans about get shafted again?

For a tenner, yes buy it. Its great. The only real control problem is jump- mapped to a nunchuk shake. Otherwise, there is very little control issue IMO. Its also easier than the original- but not ridiculously so. I was pleased paying full price- i'd be eatstatic buying for a tenner.

I think, and this is only speculation, that Camelot have a written contract with Nintendo to produce exclusive titles, while n-Space perhaps simply choose to develop for Nintendo hardware.
-
Are they really a second party developer? I'll say no.
-
No. No. No. The vast majority of pundits, analysts and commentators predicted the PS3 would be market leader- making it very attractive to developers and publishers. At the very least no one expected the first two years to be a disaster, which it has been. The fact Factor 5 and Free Radical failed to impress with software is sad, and disappointing, BUT the decision to opt for PS3 was not, at the time, a mistake. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
-
NST and Retro. That it- although i do believe Nintendo still owns stock in Silicon Knights. I'll wager 10,000 bells (obviously not the ringing kind, but AC currency) if anyone can name any other current first or second party developer in the America, Europe or Canada.
-
thats impressive, if brief. If any company was going to push Wii, it would be Factor 5- and Nintendo would do right by remembering that (and providing some sort of rescue package). Someone, somewhere will be purchasing their assets- and if there is any sense within Nintendo- who incidently have few development teams in the West- they should be snapping up as much of the company as they can (if not, buying it outright). Although, lets be honest, there is little in the way of hard facts at the moment.

I've not caught one yet. Out of interest, what control method are you using?
