The World Ends With You - Squeenix Fashion-Dance-JRPG!
david.dakota replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
i've finally taken the plunge and placed an order. Without giving too much away, how does this make use of the DS hardware? And am i right in thinking it only has one save file? -
A 2D Metroid would truly be amazing, but why the Brawl engine? Nintendo have some far better engines for a 2D scrolling games.

Never happen. Its simply not natural to use the pointer for a torch. Makes no sense. Take the torch i use when walking the dog, its superb- hold it vertically, and the beam of light slowly ascends. Even better, i'm physically unable to use my arms while using this torch either- i have to turn my whole body to point the beam somewhere.

right now, anything will do. I can't recall a time when Nintendo has been so dried up. Not even its worst performing home machine, N64, suffered this badly. There was always something on the horizon.

Pedro... surely that'll make the girl naked..?

Thats pretty much the point, why are developers - including Nintendo - ignoring Wii's obvious benefits? Sure, its a horror game, and maybe needs a slower pace, but these controls seem plain odd and ill thoughtout. For me, the torch should be completely IR- perhaps even with an atmospheric delay while surveying. The camera should be solely IR or Analogue Stick. Or for added casualness- lift both the nunchuck and remote vertically and use the Z Trigger to operate camera. Clicken Clacken Picture Taken.

LIES. Thats just a picture a core gamer after Ubidays.

Iwata: Wii 2 is "under development", Nintendo
david.dakota replied to canand's topic in Nintendo Gaming
All this talk of downloadable games is nonsense. The Big Three are reliant on high street retailers stocking their consoles- consoles which make no profit for retailers. Its the added value of games and accessories, which is why high street stock console. Without the added value, high street won't bother. -
The problem is its a massive money spinner for Fox, and is churned out pretty much on a production line. She show could do with a break for the creative team to refresh themselves. When the shows good, its great.

Redshell, i can agree on one hand. But mapping the camera to both the waggle and analogue still seems odd. Very odd.

IGN have a new hands-on of Fatal Frame. It seems the developers have dropped the ball when it comes to controls, with no IR functions for torch and Camera Obscura, which seen such a natural option- a massive shame, given that RE4 used IR so effectively. For those too lazy to visit IGN,your torch is always aimed forward, effectively meaning you'll need to move your character to light up new areas of the room, while Camera Obscura is (oddly) controlled horizontally with the analogue stick, while vertical movement is mapped to a Remote waggle.

once bitten, twice shy. After the promise of a Nights, which turned out poor, i refuse to excite myself.

sounds interesting, but the battles may prove boring.

i've been watching those videos above via my Phone. Even on a small screen its disturbing as hell. I am curious as to why there are no reviews, but hopefully, its to keep the surprises secret.

i've a 37 inch Sony Widescreen TV - standard definition. Also have a surround system capable of Dolby Prologic II for the Wii. Sound is just as important- if not more so- as visuals

Shall i be that idiot? Piracy IS a concern with home brew software, and its idiotic to make a sweeping statement and think otherwise. Its all but killed the PC market. Sure, its probably a minority who use home brew to open their Wii's- or any other console - up to piracy, its still very possible and a risk for Nintendo and others.

the franchise, the talent and the themes do better outside japan. It would beggar belief if this was Japan only.

the problem is these posts always turn into a 'wish list'. Lets face it, using arbitry percentages to make a point, Nintendos output will be made up of 40%for casual, 40% for the core and 20% bridge software.

Cammie Dunaway...the future voice of Nintendo?
david.dakota replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Honestly, as long as she's pulling in the public, then i'm ok with her. -
has no one put two and two together? If High Voltage have the current build with Voice Chat, then surely, they've had the heads up from Nintendo? Could Nintendo be their publisher?

Why on earth did Microsoft pushed avatars and the channel interface in their conference? They've walked away looking foolish, lacking confidence and having some schizophrenic identity crisis. If the other options had been promoted, Microsoft could have come out smelling of roses.

I can't see why a Chef of Ramseys calibre has opted to endorse this, when a title with more ambition and purpose like Cooking Guide is on the market. My input. Done.

isn't Miyamoto a harmonica player himself? I honestly don't think this would have a market, so i'm calling fake. If it were included in WiiFit, then i'd happily believe it, but this as a stand alone product... No chance.

Wouldn't having a fourth local Brawler defeat the object of an online match? -

Is it possible for two local players to Brawl online? I see that you can invite CPU fighters into online Brawls... But i can't see an option for one more human player...
