Bumpies Party on Wii U was better!
-
Persona 3 will be announced here I'm sure. Other than that I have no idea, but I'm happy with some more GameCube and Wii ports! And Donkey Kong 64 remake ofc
-
A pretty bodascious week, man! Pleasure working with you as always.

I'll check it out at some point, depending how late I stay up I'll watch it live or the highlights. Does this have a 'main' live events or will they be spread out over some days? I found this on Wiki, I know XBOX will have their own event at some point (perhaps as part of this or separate?) but I don't know about the others, I've been in kind of a Nintendo bubble since the pandemic lol so not too sure on shows now that E3 is gone.

I will definitely get this, I remember loving it on the DS. I would love a physical but I imagine it's just eShop only?
-
Louie is an actual monster and if he's one of the lost explorers again I will leave him for dead. The character customisation looks super cute and I can't wait!
-
eShop retail price is £24.99! Haven't noticed any boxed prices go up yet. If it is the same boxed then this has to be the cheapest launch day RRP for a Nintendo game since the DS days.

Bruh, LEGO 2K Drive looks awesome! Though granted I need to see what the performance is like on Switch!

SAD!

I did at least try to put a bit of a 'play it loud' spin on the promotional material by calling it PROMO BLAST lol

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Josh64 replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Was it actually an arcade game? That would make sense, it has total arcade gameplay and the graphics aren't up there with other MegaDrive games, but I don't know much about older arcade stuff outside of Donkey Kong and Punch Out!! I'm definitely gonna keep aiming for higher scores, I'm still bit of a noob and only just broke the default 100,000 😅 I love that I'm getting better at kicking cups at the cats! -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

I played some Pulseman last night, it's harder than I anticipated but I'm getting used to it, especially now I remember it's not timed, so I don't go barrelling through like a Sonic game and instead take my time. Also I LOVE flicky, it's so addictive. -
'Soon' being TODAY Sammy!! A roundup of the Indie event, next week's free Game Trial and more on the front page now!

I found some more CUBE DVDs today, and man, I miss 2000's events like this: GAMESTARS LIVE! An event in the UK in 2004, featuring then popular TV hosts Dick n' Dom, and a selection of current and upcoming GameCube games such as Donkey Konga and Metroid Prime 2! This is from 'DVD 19' that came with CUBE magazine. "Game Stars Live runs from September 1st to 5th 2004 at London's ExCeL exhibition halls in Docklands, and hopes to attract 100,000 consumers over the course of the event." GamesIndustry.biz

I found some of those DVDs today! Some of the editing is... Interesting. 2003 was the first year I understood what E3 was thanks to magazines so 2004 was the first I was truly excited for and it delivered! The Twilight Princess trailer was fantastic but also a sequel to one of my then newest favourite games Viewtiful Joe. And the DS just looked magical, especially Super Mario 64 X 4. The Revolution hype will never be beaten though, that was truly peak excitement for me given the potential of the console, my age and me being at peak Nintendo hysteria.

10 Years Later: How 'The Year of Luigi' changed gaming
Josh64 replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Good times, I loved the extra attention he got that year! Can anyone confirm if the hidden Luigi sprites are also in 3D World on Switch? Or was it just for the Wii U in honour of the year? It's also hilariously on-brand for Luigi that 2013 was the worst year for Nintendo. source -
Thanks, the battle system is what put me off, I'd watched a few gameplay videos on YouTube to get a feel of it and thought it looked a bit much lol. I do like the sound of the text based adventure, but will leave it until it goes lower (if it does) if I'm just getting it for that. Thanks for the avoid advice though, the last thing I need is another unfinished game in my switch library lol
-
I'm really tempted to get it but I'm a bit worried it might be too full on for a relative RPG noob. I haven't played many outside of Pokemon, Paper Mario and Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

I've always been really interested in videogame profit but never found anything on it. I love reading up on the box office subreddit about how much money films have made compared to how much they cost to produce and market. To the point of games now making more money, I think it's beyond a doubt that videogames are more popular now and thus technically make more money, but you make a great example there. I guess it depends per game, but the ceiling for sales is much higher now. 64 games were likely much cheaper to produce but even the highest selling ones couldn't reach the current highs that are possible. Mario Kart 8 may have initially cost more to make than 64 on Wii U, but Deluxe was surely not too costly, and has now sold 40+ million, so I'd guess in that case it's made a lot more money than Mario Kart 64. DLC is also a valid argument, and Mario Kart also no doubt makes loads in that regard, especially considering the relatively cheap production again, given the existing assets from the base game and the assets stripped from Tour.

Sonic Riders was quite the workout from what I remember! And I hope you have a blast on Rio, that for me is by far the best MASO game. I wish they'd release a full-game version of Rugby. Also the setting on the peach is pure bliss. Omg, and the parades! God, I wish it was 2016 again.
-
How far did you get on NOTHING?? It's hard as nails, at least it is for me and my slow reactions lol
-
I probably won't watch it either. As excited as I am for the film, I have already seen far more than I would most other films. I tend to go in having watched just one trailer, sometimes just the description and poster lol.

It's about time! https://www.n-europe.com/news/tetris-movie-starts-shooting-next-year/ Though I wonder if their plans to make it a trilogy have changed.

Much like Michael Myers, just when you think the Wii U is dead it comes back with yet another final game. https://www.n-europe.com/news/silver-falls-white-inside-its-umbra-launches-this-month-on-the-wii-u-eshop/

I got so infatuated with Shooby that I'm now on episode 6 of US Season 1
