  1. Don't think it was even sold over here. Pretty sure I got my copy by using Star Points on the old Club Nintendo site
  2. Why hell is Pokemon Box going for such a crazy amount? Is it the only way to get Pokemon from the original hardware into the modern games or something? eBay I'm half tempted to sell my copy.
  3. The rebooted trilogy (especially the first game) has more in common with Metroid than it does Uncharted.
  4. I decided to play through Tomb Raider Legend. I've not played this since it was released on the 360. I enjoyed it back then and I enjoyed revisiting it now. It was interesting playing this so close to having played the original Tomb Raider. Playing them both this close together really highlighted just how different the Crystal Dynamics games are to what Core originally put out. Sure, there are a few puzzles scattered about and there is scaling various structures to be done, but their games really lack the intricate levels design and precision platforming that gave the series its reputation. Still fun though. Trophy wise, I had to beat the game on the hardest difficulty. I remember it being not too difficult and so I opted to do my first run through of the game on that, rather than doing multiple runs. All of the collectibles needed to be found, which wasn't too bad thanks to all the guides kicking around for the game. Lastly, I needed to finished each level again in Time Trial mode. This seems daunting at first but completing each stage unlocks bonuses and cheats for you to use. If play it smart you can have one shot kills and invincibility very early on in these speed runs. I have to say, I'm surprised by how well the game runs and looks. Like I said, I played this on the 360 and its impressive that they had this running on PS2 hardware. Another great addition to the Classic PS+ library.
  5. Doesn't surprise at all that indies are feeling the pinch as well. There was an indie developer on Era stating that it's near impossible to get any kind of decent exposure these days due to the flooding of the market. They weren't wrong. You could have your game show up at an Indie Direct but unless it's doing something REALLY special, it's likely it will be forgotten about pretty quickly. For the layoffs to have happened at Evening Star, clearly the game didn't do that well, despite having decent reviews.
  6. You've got that Atlas game that I can never remember the name of or even spell but what's the other one that's preordered? CoD?
  7. The Princess Peach game also leaked online before release. Nintendo's ninjas are get sloppy in their old age.
  8. Full game has leaked online. Be wary of spoilers flying around on YouTube.
  9. What's crazy is how inconsistent they are. The original Mega Man and X collections only had half the games on the carts. They then release the Battle Network and Zero collections with everything on the carts. Along comes Capcom Fighting Collection and it doesn't get a PAL physical release at all. They are all over the place with their Switch releases.
  10. Credits have rolled on the second game. I wasn't expecting it to tug on the old heartstrings like it did. The story revolving around Sayoko's past, the Another project and Ryan's involvement was heartbreaking. I still think I prefer the first game. There seemed to be a lot of fluff in the sequel, with characters and dialogue not really adding to the main story. Some of the chapters could have be cut from the game and the main narrative wouldn't really have been any different. I'm not really one for VN types of games but I really enjoyed my time with both of these.
  11. World is gonna burn anyway. May as well be entertained by those running the place as it all comes crashing down.
  12. Finished Panzer Paladin this evening. Cracking indie game. It was released a few years back and for some unknown reason its taken until this year to be released on PS4. The game is a mash up of NES games. It takes elements from games likes Mega Man, Blaster Master and Duck Tales, puts them in a blender and spits of this platform game. The big difference with this game and the others that it borrows from is its weapon system. Enemies drop weapons and they can be found hidden in secret areas as well. Each weapon breaks after so many uses but they also come with a spell. Using the spell will break the weapon and so it becomes a balance of knowing when to unleash the potential of a weapon and when to use it as a standard hitting device. You can carry as many as you want but the more you collect, the harder the game will become. The game is pretty lengthy for the genre it's representing. There are 10 stages to get through and then another 6 that act kinda like the Dr. Wily levels in the Mega Man games. Couple all of these with extra modes and an unlockable difficulty level and your looking at meaty amount of game time. I played it on easy difficulty at first so that I could learn the mechanics of the game. I then had to do another play through on hard difficulty in order to unlock a trophy. Beating the game then unlocked Remix Mode. This is a harder version of the game that I needed to play through (again, for some trophies) whilst carrying a stupid amount of weaponry to max out the difficulty level on each stage. I loved the challenge of this and it was here where I learned how best to keep certain weapons with certain spells for specific boss fights. It's yet another indie game that I have bought, played and loved this year. It joins the ranks of Bat Boy, Tinykin, Vampire Survivors and Gravity Circuit. Sadly, the game has gone pretty much under the radar. Only 2 people have got the Platinum over on PSNProfiles, with only 47 owners. I'm sure someone on here played it on the Switch a while back. I wanna say it was @Dufniall.
  13. In typical fashion, Capcom be screwing over EU Switch owners with just a code in a box when it comes to a physical version.
  14. I imagine if this had been on the Switch the numbers would gave been insane. It's a better audience for such a game.
  15. On the plus side...
  16. Hands down one of the most baffling things in modern times. Which man finds this attractive on a woman? Everyone bloke I speak to about it thinks the fish lips thing is hideous.
  17. Yeah, the RNG is pretty bonkers. I think they made it a little easier with various patches.
  18. I don't even know who you are anymore, man. Thought you loved Returnal?
  19. You've platinumed Returnal, Resogun and Nex Machina...time for Matterfall. 😛
  20. Very happy with the projected length of the game.
  21. There's no physical release, at least not outside of Japan.
  22. Just finished watching it. Trump had me howling. Dude is so entertaining to watch. When he started going on about immigrants eating their neighbours pets I just lost it. Harris done exactly what she needed to do. Remained calmed, poked the bear a little and didnt rise up to anything said. It's crazy how watchable this was in comparison to our boring and dry debates that happen in the UK general elections or parliament.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if the PS6 is digital only, especially if its another 4 years away. More and more publishers are only releasing digital only or having small physical print runs. Sadly, the digital game sales numbers don't lie. Physical games are a dying thing. While the cost of digital AAA games on day 1 are stupidly high, they seem to drop quicker now on digital stores than they do on physical. Discounts are usually a lot deeper as well.
  24. I'm sitting watching the debate (didn't realise Disney+ has it) and every time Trump speaks, all I can think of is the Pokemon skit.
