  1. I enjoyed. Maybe the Simon Cowell scene went on for too long, and there was some dodgy lip sync in the 3 funnies, but a very good episode, well done. Claire scenes were great, surprised about her being happy with the groping scene, fair play to her (and ofc you). 7.738/10 give or take the thousandth of the score obviously.
  2. Halo 3 Jetpacks as well apparently. I'm interested in seeing some gameplay, hopefully E3 could reveal some. And hopefully Resistance 3.
  3. Don't get Peggle Was expecting white text when I read the above but didnt get any so here's some
  4. I still find it hard to buy into the fact that there really is difficulty in this game. I want to believe reviews but I somehow can't. And can someone properly clear this up?: Are there actually 240 unique stars (obviously including previous comet level variations) or 120 stars? Plus you'd think if they raised the star quota to unlock the last bowser boss that the stars would be quicker and easier to get than normal, i.e. ones obtainable by noobs.
  5. I think people get way too caught up in the 'taxpayer' argument. "I have to pay taxes to give to the smoking quitters" can you just shut up now? Obviously we don't want taxes wasted on stuff like expenses etc, but everyone pays the same standard tax, it's a collective thing, and the next person is probably benefiting from tax money in different ways to another. I don't see the issue quite honestly. Just pay the god-damn tax bitches, and recognise it is benefitting society. When you break it down into the pennies that are going towards different things it's highly likely there will be stuff you're paying for that might not personally improve your life.
  6. Console Zelda's are hardly different from each other. Especially the 3D ones.
  7. That's why Google is so much better than Bing. Plus they have better offices. And Google is generally better.
  8. Neither was I really but we both lose as we both came across that way. Double-fail (Y)
  9. I guess I'm 'Fuck' in this situation, it's because of profit.
  10. I like to talk about what I dislike. I have had interest in the PoP series, and if I have an opinion on why this game is terrible, I'm entitled to make it. They should've called this 'LoL: The Forgotten Brand'
  11. It's all well and good but that doesn't work with free market economy. It would force firms to relocate, there'd be a loss of jobs, because let's face it, the tobacco industry is massive. You'd have a massive uproar, you might see a large amount of people emigrating and the people left here are left experiencing the harmful effects of withdrawal symptoms. It would be nice if cigarettes had never existed, but they do, nothing will stop the fact they are smoked. If it is made illegal there are further costs in enforcing it because as with all drugs, people are willing to break the law to lay their hands on them. Cutting 6 billl-yun from our economy could put the recovery at risk, and I don't believe that is the right thing to do.
  12. Every smoker is part of the working class. Fact. It was meant to be a hyperbole joke comment but obviously you don't have humour, and so failed to see it. Now for the part of this comment that I actually am not kidding about: Smokers are idiots. And there are many reasons why they do. One no-one ever mentions really is that people see others smoke, so they smoke themselves. If they never saw anyone else ever smoke, they wouldn't even think of smoking. That is why I will invent the invisible cigarette. It will blow yer mind.
  13. Yeah, they should make the tax even more regressive, that'll kill off the working class. It's not like we need them, all they do is sit around, smoking their lives away.
  14. I could give you the economics if you want Pookiablo. Going to give it to you even if you don't. - Smoking is an example of a demerit good, i.e a good that causes significant external costs to a third party. Without government intervention, these costs aren't paid for because the consumers and producers of cigarettes do not take into account the external costs that occur because of the consumption or production of this good. In this case, the negative externalities here arise because smoking inflicts monetary costs to the NHS, and cause the health of others to worsen. This could lead to losses in working days and therefore people would be less able to contribute to GDP. -There are many ways to tackle this market failure - currently tax is being imposed on cigarettes which has a limited effect, because demand for cigarettes is inelastic due to their addictive nature. However it does reduce demand for them slightly, and the tax revenue the government gains through this can be used to hypothecate (hypothecate meaning they can use the money to reduce external costs in other areas). Some of this revenue might be used in what they are doing here - in this case it's probably best to call the NHS money give-aways 'consumer subsidies'. This obviously has the desired effect of reducing demand and the over consumption of the demerit good in question. Quantity demanded should fall, supply would contract, and there would be an increase in price of cigarettes. So you can see why the government are doing it, because it reduces the undesirable effects you have in a free market.
  15. That's the last thing it will do. I know EXACTLY what to expect from the game, in platforming and combat terms, and for me that isn't good enough, despite reviewers being content with the same. They may feel obliged to give the game standard 8/10s and that's telling me it's just like the others. Fed up of these unambitious sequels.
  16. By all means, get Modnation, it looks pretty good, personally won't be getting it because the load times in the beta were jokified, never encountered waiting as bad as that. (Well...) However, I will cease to play Unch with you upon your PoP purchase because it's exactly the same as its prequels and a complete waste of money and I will have lost respect for you.
  17. To be fair is is one of the more friendly ones of the species. Reminds of the Vogan species from the film version of The Hitch-hikers Guide actually:
  18. Is there any chance that people will start buying cigarettes, claiming they're smoking, then selling them on, following with their claim for the 'quit' money?
  19. Your eyes tell the stories of a day you wish you could Recall the moments that once have Retract the footsteps that brought us to this favor I wouldn't ask this of you Good eye, sniper Here I'll shoot, you run The words you scribbled on the walls With the loss of friends you didn't have I'll call you when the time is right Are you in or are you out? For them all to know the end of us all Coheed and Cambria - A Favour House Atlantic
  20. What gun specifically? I'd recommend the L115A3 Long Range Rifle. Whilst good weather means your bullets are less likely to change course in the wind, drinking alcohol could cause you to sway, and therefore inaccuracy may occur. Camping in daylight is also risky, as you will be more noticeable to others, and the activity of camping is generally frowned upon. If you are missing your targets, take some penicillin with you for better acquisition. You're right though, it could get messy.
  21. I hate seeing money going to waste like that.
  22. I haven't played it enough to comment on story or characters but it definitely doesn't have great gameplay. It's a borefest. The apparently best mission in the game is the bank mission. It's the only mission I've played, I completed it first time and thought it was completely average.
  23. Well it's the developer and publisher's right to sell a product that they want to sell, so it's just a case of whether it is morally right or wrong. I'd say in this case it is fair, and it's very similar to the Bad Company 2 VIP codes you get when you buy it new. What I don't like is the over-exploitation against consumers, in recent memory, the MW2 map packs. Yes, the consumer has shown that they will buy 3 new maps for £11, but that doesn't make it right. I hate Activision for what they've done there.
