  1. Uh-oh.
  2. I just want to leave this awesome thing that came up on Tumblr - the uncompromising Niki Lauda in his March 721x at the 1972 Monaco GP. I just love it when you can see through the visor like this.
  3. It does look impressive, but I've been largely checked out of warfare FPSs since MW2. Can't blame 'em to keep trying for that piece of the pie though. People complain they're flogging a dead horse but it's a horse that just won't stop bleeding money.
  4. On a sidenote, this is Susie Wolff nee Stoddart, DTM competitor and Williams' new development driver. Give me a moment while I spool my tongue back into my head. Yowzah.
  5. Yeah, sorry about that. My MSN is fine but I've been so busy and tired I keep forgetting to turn it on or deliberately leaving it off. After May all my Uni deadlines will have passed, which will mean moar time for Martinses. But I am sorry! =(

  6. That's what yer ma said last night.

    ...

    Wait...

  7. So why do you have a new big-ass TV? What was wrong with your other big ass TV? Size queen. :heh:

  8. Look at this. Look at this and tell me this is what you expected to see today.
  9. Heads up: Gentlemen Broncos is Film 4's 9oclock movie tonight. I remember being really interested in it when it first came out but never got round to seeing it - time to catch I think. Jermaine Clement is a stamp of quality-guarantee in my book.
  10. I'm still quite surprised by how much I've been enjoying the multiplayer, can't argue with free stuff for it.
  11. What is even the point in the Lotus brand in F1 anymore? If no part of either of the companies it originated from are even involved in it? It's just corporate-scale hipster shit at this point. Meanwhile: It's just been pointed out to me that Lotus' main sponsor Unilever - who signed up when Kimi did - is the same company that makes Magnum ice creams. Yes.
  12. Spongebob doesn't need you to tell him how f***ing good his coffee is. (This has been done before, but never ever this well.)
  13. I think about 2/3 of the way through, probably not too far off the final act anyway, not sure. Anyway, can I just say if you're not playing this thing with headphones you're missing a lot and I'm not usually an audiophile. The subtleties in the sound design are genuinely astonishing.
  14. I recently discovered the animated show "The Critic" - an animated show about a grumpy film New York critic, you may remember the character's "guest appearance" from the "Pukeahontas" Simpsons episode - from the early nineties and it's genuinely shocking how much it successfully and accurately predicted. Add this one to the list.
  15. Uh-oh. Somebody somewhere has been playing Mass Effect.
  16. The guy who does YGO Abridged has sold the right to Michael Bay. I hear he's a boat captain now.
  17. This is going to be this generation's Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo.
  18. This explains the text I received from @martinist last night - Story verified.
  19. That was almost historic and will still be long remembered - Perez getting the win was the only thing that could make it even sweeter and that was always going to be unlikely. As is, it was an epic performance from both Sergio & Alonso, we have to assume they'll be teammates in 2013. I honestly think Sergio is a bona-fide genius, I'll be amazed if he isn't Champion sooner or later. Hamilton seemed a little happier which was nice to see, another tough race after doing all the hard work in the first stint and frankly I don't think his pit crew did him too many favors. Still, two poles and two podiums out of two races leaving him second by 5 points is not a shabby start to the year. He's got all the speed, still looking for better luck. As for Vettel & Button's incident with the HRT, I think Karthikeyan was pretty blameless in both of those - Jenson seemed to simply run wide with him and Vettel clearly misjudged where the HRT front wing was. I agree with you Retro, at this rate it's going to be another superb season. I really feel we're in a Golden Age of F1 not seen since the classic years of the glamorous 1960s. Roll on China!
  20. Wow. Okay. Yes. Holy shit. That all happened. More on this later.
  21. Can I just say that if you paid any amount of money to anyone anywhere to see Bay's wretched Transformers movies, this is your fault. Yes you. You specifically. To paraphrase fictional newsreader Kent Brockman, at the risk of being unpopular this forum member places the blame squarely on you, the viewers!
  22. This from Jalopnik, reporting on Kamui's twitter activity: Anyway, 1-1 for Lewis, fingers crossed his stars have finally aligned for the first time in a while.
  23. A regular shop lifter in my store is now apparently waiting for the store to close and following staff down the street the threaten them - I say apparently, because no one else has mentioned anything but that's what's just happened to me. I didn't even acknowledge him and he went on his way. He brought a big buddy one day a couple of weeks ago who tried it on but I managed to simply stare him out of the store. I'll be telling the manager tomorrow morning. I hope this isn't going to escalate, as much as I'd enjoy introducing him to the wonders of Self Defence law I'd like to finish my MA before having to mangle someone like a cat in a trouser press.
  24. Looking at this year's class photo - starting to suspect Kimi might be becoming an influence on Lewis already.
  25. Ever since watching "Racing with the Hamiltons" I've become acutely aware of how Lewis treats himself if something doesn't quite go to plan for him and I think he was too hard on himself after the race. His start wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. Neither he or his team made any serious mistakes but one or two small things seemed to go against him, with the safety car and I suspect maybe his setup wasn't quite where he wanted it to be on the day. He made a joke about being prone to being in the wrong place at the wrong time and I immediately thought of his dad standing severely by as Nic came back from his crash on that corner he wasn't quite getting. I think he needs to stop over-analyzing himself and let go of the high standards he clearly has for himself - I think he's putting himself under more pressure then is needed and if he can let go of some of that his natural talent will be allowed to shine through. As it was he had a difficult day but still a positive one - on the harder tire he was still keeping pace with their most likely rivals on the soft and we saw in quali he's lost none of his speed. Here's hoping he'll be smiling more at the next round. Anyway, Button's come on leaps and bounds since joining Mclaren, his experience is really what set him apart and once again he managed his tires perfectly, a well deserved win. I think that Red Bull is being flattered by both Vettel and Webber, the way Vettel was jiggling it through the last corner really makes me suspect that the driver was vastly out-driving the car. Ferrari's are difficult to read, horrible qualifying but decent race pace, we'll be able to say for sure in Malaysia. Was gutted for Maldonaldo, really want to see Williams have a decent year, looks like their revamps are making the difference though. Kimi did an incredible job, I don't remember him being that fierce. Maybe a couple of years of deforesting Europe with Citroen's has done him good. Welcome to the fold! And you've got a good eye, Kobayashi is somewhat of a talisman for all fans, he's always a thrill to watch. You came in at a good time too, looks like it's going to be a banner year. I'll let somebody else explain the safety car, I've had a large glass of wine and I don't think my senses are quite about me at the moment. Maybe I'll give it a go later.
