  1. Ah yes, the haunting mating call of the wild Danarius Dareous. If it isn't successful the male will simply sneak-mate with the nearest DVD boxset published by Paramount.
  2. I know, I know. I trust you, it's just a tick I have. I may actually prefer strolling into Game and picking it up physically for the 35 anyway. I enjoy savouring such things these days.
  3. I saw a Final Fantasy XIV: Reborn trailer and it made me so angry I actually pre-ordered GW2 then un-pre-ordered it. I'm now officially waiting for one good, reputable review just to assure my money will be well spent. That will be my starting gun.
  4. Good interview in Eurogamer - they're getting rid of cockpit views and all driving assists. It's just going to be you and the driving model they design. I'm excited.
  5. Huh. I was not expecting to win that.
  6. I bought it in my local HMV for £43, but your favourite online retailer will probably be doing it for £37-odd.
  7. Oh yes. This is the good stuff.
  8. This is the thought that occurs to me: A decent amount of Pokemanz could easily be a dating boon. There must be a ton of ladies out there of a certain age who still harbour a private need to find some happy-go-lucky Brock and straddle his rock hard Onyx (figuratively speaking). But there is a limit. It's good to be open about your hobbies and interests but @Serebii, you need a bit of variety, people need to know there's a complete person raring to go with other stuff they can connect and have fun with. Brock ran a gym but even he took time out to learn how to cook.
  9. I love finding good erotica, not just for titillation purposes but there's stuff being legitimately expressed out there. I freely admit going through erotic fanfiction & art/fanart galleries of all different stripes just to read the comments beneath each piece. Maybe I'm voyeur but it's really interesting to see how people relate to them and sometimes you find something genuinely well produced and heartfelt. My two favourite examples right now are both webcomics. I like Jess Fink's comic Chester XYV, which is funny, fluid and utterly charming with it's feminine sexuality and Steampunk aesthetic. I also like Starfighter (under no circumstances to be confused with 80's kids movie classic The Last Starfighter), a fiery gay relationship story which has a fantastic sense of pressure & claustrophobia in it's setting of narrow spaceship corridors. The dangerous sense of possession between the two main characters is handled beautifully, in my opinion. As for 50 Shades I've only read short excerpts of it and I only have two feelings about it: 1. I don't like how many people are reading it just to laugh at it, I don't care how badly it's written. You're so smart? Write your own best seller. 2. I don't understand why people just don't go on fanfiction.net. Where you can find an infinite supply of better, similar, smuttier stuff. For free.
  10. Stunning cast list, really can't wait now.
  11. This needs it's own thread to spread the love: this 5 minute animation may very well be the most charming thing I've seen in years. If somebody made a feature length version I'd be there tomorrow. It's just impeccable.
  12. Yes you did, you just don't remember it. I made sure of that.
  13. Some Jehova's Witnesses came to my door this morning. We had a lengthy and in-depth discussion but where it eventually ended up was the smartly-dressed young man asking if suffering could possibly be considered freedom. I asserted that it was, because without suffering there's no opportunity to learn and I described how my suffering has given me great gifts in my life, and indeed without it we wouldn't standing my door talking so amiably as we were. They were both very polite.
  14. So, it's less then four weeks away. Who else is interested in this? I'm on the fence about it purely because I don't know if I want an MMO to invest time in, but the more I hear and see of this thing the better it gets. The fact you can compete in PvP at max level without having to grind just to survive, as well as being able to wander into big instances without having to find a specific party (plus no monthly sub) makes this the one MMO I might be able to actually enjoy. Besides, it looks beautiful.
  15. Yep, nope, that's Grid 2. That's the Grid emblem with 2 in the middle of it. I've waited far, far too long for this.
  16. Oh man, that was a bad end to a poor campaign. Been a long, long time since I was in the bottom tier. Oh well. I'll still be taking my banker's bonus though. Sign me up for the cup if it's not too late, perhaps I can recoup some dignity there.
  17. That reminds of the time I moved to London and pretended to be a really hot blonde wig.
  18. You come on here, post the vaguest statement possible denigrating yourself and then wonder why people pile in after? We're here to help but we need details, man.
  19. I've not long got backed from work, I wasn't expecting there to be much to talk about but everyone genuinely seems to have had fun. Wish I had been able to see it now.
  20. I refuse to kowtow to this amalgamation elitism.
  21. EDIT BY MOKONG Weclome to the London 2012 Olympic Forum. We've set up a thread for each Sporting Decipline involved in the Olympics. So whichever sports/events you are following you will have a place here at N-Europe to discuss the ups and downs and goings-ons of that Sport. If you do not see the thread for the event you are looking for remember to check the 2nd page of the forum. Please use this thread for only General Olympic Discussion that does not fit any particular Sport, for the Opening & Closing Ceremonies discussion, and if there is a topic that you feel could do with it's own thread suggest it in a post here and a mod or admin will look into it as only Mods and Admins can create new threads. This is to help keep things tidy and prevent creations of double threads. Thank you and enjoy the London Olympics 2012. (And yes I went with the unofficial logo cause the official one is fugly) ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yes, it's that time again folks. Several weeks of sport on top of sport next to sport and smothered in more sport and all of it sport you would never even dream of watching at any other time but have become an expert in in the last five minutes. From fencing to archery, dressage to synchronised swimming, power walking to that weird cycling event where they have to chase a pizza boy around for a few laps, all your favourite events are present and correct. Things have already kicked off with the opening rounds of the women's football, the men's football tomorrow and then the opening ceremony kicking things off on Friday. In the UK the BBC are covering the Olympics as per their usual level of excellence, with about a billion interactive channels and an exhaustive website prepped and ready. The UK para-Olympics coverage however has this year been awarded to Channel 4 for the first time. If their pre-competition programming & advertising thus far is any indication, this looks like a wise move. Pretty good match between GB & New Zealand right now. 1-0 to GB with a stunner of a free kick. C'mon girls!
