Why? Why is this out this year but PSO2 won't be in English until 2013? SEGA what's wrong with you?
-
Cracking race, absolutely gutted by Lewis' bad luck though, would easily have been competing for anywhere on the podium without the puncture. Another outrageously excellent performance from Alonso, if this year is his 3rd championship he's already earned it.

Picked up new room key, landlord confirmed Not A MurderRapist. All bills included, £28 per month cheaper for a bigger room with a bigger bed and a bigger desk in it 10 minutes walking closer to work a mile closer to the sea front. Oh, and it has shelves. Mother fucking SHELVES.

14 Killed in Dark Knight Rises Cinema Shooting

I just want to pre-empt the inevitable media cycle by posting this now. Pay attention to the forensic psychiatrist especially. It continues to be frighteningly spot on. -
I'll see your Duke and raise you one parrot from Disney's Aladdin.

Ah godammit. Sod big online shooting games now. I wasn't sure if I was going to get any of the DLC packs but since an entire new game will be out before the end of next year (not long after completing the full DLC line) they can suck it. When did FPSs become annual sports titles?

It is an utter curiosity that this is the first game in years that people want to give them serious money for and they've basically shot it in kneecaps for the larger part of it's likely userbase. I mean I really, really like what they've done here. They've taken a manageable, co-operative online game that succeeded in spite of everything last time out, improved the action, exploded the skill sets, made each area more varied and challenging and layered the whole thing with all-round decent design. I just can't believe somebody didn't look at it and think "hang on, people might want to play this." When you've got western users solving Japanese capcha just to give you money, a multi-lingual website and a bit of Roman alphabet in the actual game seems the least one should do.

I'm going to see a room tomorrow which could be damn well near perfect, great price, twenty minutes walk from work. Just as long as it isn't an actual cupboard and/or infested with lizards and/or the landlord isn't a murder-rapist, I could be on to something good. Landlord does seem a bit off though. I asked for the street address, he texted me the postcode and then house number in two separate texts. Had to do an address search for the street. If they discover my ravaged corpse stuffed into a drain, you'll all know what happened.

Oh, godammit.

Huh. I am actually sort of curious to see what Codemasters does with a cartoon kart racing game.
-
I'm so delighted to hear this, it really sounds like they've captured some form of the character's bleak, tongue-in-cheek satire within an effective action movie. Can't wait to see it.

I really love how they've captured the original PSO and updated it. That video above is all brand new but at the same time it's intimately familiar.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

REM's Country Feedback, the live performance version specifically. This was mentioned in a webcomic I was reading and oh my sweet god in heaven. That guitar solo alone makes me glad that I'm a member of a species that evolved audio receptors. -
Yeah, they get all the breaks the selfish little bastards.

Right. Would have assumed the Sega ID was the right one though. Character name is Portsmouth G64.
-
Tell you what, gaggle64 is my sega ID (I'm assuming there's a list to add folks to somewhere and keep tabs on) so if you ever see me on, tap me on the shoulder and I'll beam right in (or whatever the equivalent is). I may go in and start on the first non-tutorial mission some point tonight so hit me up whenever. If I don't chat I've probably closed the chat box and can't find it again.

Spent late into Saturday night figuring everything out, built myself a big arse robot and stomped around figuring which desk did what. I found the one that sells guns anyway, though what I think is the Tekker desk is always going to be utterly impenetrable. I just really hope I can just use/transfer my character on the eventual English release, I'll be mad if I end up having to start at lvl 1 again.
-
That's good enough for me.

Oh sweet mother of mercy I finally managed to patch the dratted thing up. Gotta go to work in a couple of hours now but here's my post-sport Sunday all mapped out. Reckon I'm going to be a bit boring a do a v2.0 of my RuCast Ranger from the original. Because robots with guns. I wonder if my login on PSO World is still good?

Blimey, I really wasn't expecting the grumpy git to make it this year on recent form but I'll be backing him in the final. I do really like Tsonga though, so maybe a touch of disappointment there. Never mind. I just hope it doesn't overlap with the British GP too much. C'mon Andy! C'-moooooon-Aaaaaaaaanndy!

It's only 15 megs? Blimey, I assumed it was some multiple-gigs the rate it was going. If ships 1-5 are going to be closed off what's the next best choice for English speakers?
-
I was hoping to jump in tonight but it may have to wait. It appears to be patching at redonkulous slow speed.
-
Just to clairfy before heading in (still downloading) when I make a character I'm limited to one ship (the server) but can jump between each block (lobby)?
-
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear... Yes - they've called their group of killer stripper nuns "The Saints". I'm sure it's a literary reference.
-
Clicking around the download executable, I think it's working. Good god this is what being illiterate must be like. I'm assuming I'm downloading the game and not a program to turn my laptop into an animated Ero-girl robot. When I get there, do I need a Sega ID or anything similar or can I just register in the client? And what is the ideal place to be for an unenlightened western devil like myself? Still ship 2?
