I own Madden 04 and it's easily one of the most enjoyable games in my collection. Simply watching American "football" is, if the last couple of superbowls broadcast on ITV are anything to go by, bizarrely boring in comparison. Also, this could just be because I don't have kind of amazing meg-HD-widescreen Star Trek esque-viewscreen of a TV that may just take off when I flip over to watch the World Cup, but I am going to physically kill the next person who comes to me and tells me that Maddens best feature is it's 16:9 widescreen and 480i abilities. I really, trully am.

Of course, if your among the millions upon millions out there who isn't bothered by slightly fuzzy tree bark or simply can't afford to shell out £600+ for a new TV, it's very difficult to give a rats ass. (Sorry - I just had to get that off my chest.)

This Wii is a piece of marketing genius. Coming up to E3, wether you are a nintendo fan or not, it's all people can think about. To be honest, I'm a ctually starting to like it.

Such rumbilings have been going around the joint for awhile - by the looks of things a Live-style system will be gracing all three consoles this gen. There are so many Nintendo franchises that simply need online gaming option to make them totally irresistable, (MK, SSBM, Wario Ware,) The genric shooters, racers and mountains of MMOs set to dominate the software librarys of others will see Nintendo claim quite a nice competitive edge. If they can offer their service for free, they're going to make the opposition look stupid.
