Any organised manufacturer really shouldn't be sitting there 5 months down the line with cronic product shortages saying "Gee, we ARE doing the best we can." Somebody somewhere needs to get their arse in gear.

I don't think we need loads of subforums everywhere, the current thread system serves everyone just perfectly. Also... When/if we put the VC stuff into the Retro board, can we rename it the "Back to the Future" Board? Y'know, "Coming soon: All the latest releases from 20 years ago, today!" Ah, just ignore me.
-
I think just use the Retro board. That place could use more activity and I doubt the VC will generate enough discussion to need a whole board to itself anyway. Maybe if they start offering demos or new games or something on there. Until then, nah.

Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama or the Simpsons?
gaggle64 replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
Have to say getting Patrick Stewart to play D.D. Bullock was a minor coup for American Dad, he has all the best lines. "My sources inform me that your original assertion was correct: I like big asian butts, and I cannot lie." -
Seems a bit minor to me to be deliberate. I always assumed Futurama got "New New York" from somewhere else all together.
-
The multiplayer is simplistic with only 1 v 1, but it's still remains a remarably competitive game. Just get this game anyway, it's high-scoring bombastic crazy-fun!
-
Last time I seem to recall he said something about "meeting him at the end" so something evidentally is going to be seriously kicking off. I reckon it'll have something to do with making sure the next three doctors aren't the last.
-
I'm pretty sure you can't copyright something as obscure as "New New York". Anyway, I'd guess that this episode might tie in some way with the episode set in 30s New York?

Looks like the Wii's really gonna take off in it's "second generation" of games.

Information recieved. Plan adjusted. Seriously after you have the gold why would you?

I can't I'm particulary morally outraged, for the following reasons: 1. There are many, many, many more important things to be outraged about. 2.. It's probably a trap for horny gullible players. And frankly I hope it works, because it's a good one. In fact it's fantastic. "Thanks for gold, meet me at 123 Fake Street!"

I watch for about an hour or so up until about past the bit they let Barbbass go. To me as a Christian the whole thing seemed a bit pointless really. It was like watching the events of the easter story through the eyes of a deeply disturbed and violently psychotic child. Also, don't forget folks: The Passion was a play originally written in medieval times as anti-jewish propaganda. The Nazis regulary put on major productions of it as part of their campaign.

Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama or the Simpsons?

Favourite quote from each: Stewie: "You call those cheap implants breasts? Those aren't breasts. Those are lies!" Stan: "My wife didn't spend eight hours squeezing our son out of her birth canal just so you could shove his face right back in there!" President of Nutronia: "If I die, tell my wife: 'Hello'." Grandpa: "Oh Son, why are you all avoiding me? Is it because you look into my withered eyes and see the grim spectre of death!?" (Brief Pause) Homer: "Yes but there's more." -
Nothing as yet. I'll keep you posted...

I would say both giving in to temptations and being able to rise above them is all an integral part of human nature. This is where the whole concept of moral dilemmas come from. There are plenty of people who do horrible things to others without thinking twice, but there are also plenty of people out there who, despite it all, are indeed able to keep a handle on themselves and not act like a gobshite. So why settle for someone who can't?

Yeah, alcohol is a pretty cack excuse to cheat on someone. It's generally isn't on. Would I forgive someone for cheating on me? I don't think so, it's a pretty unforgiveable thing by default. I would hope to find someone I can trust not to do something like that. Bedrock of a relationship and all that.

3 I think. 4 if you count The Fireplace episode with the killer robots, but I don't think they were masquerading as anything supernatural. That was an alright episode. I wanna see Martha start to challenge the Doc a bit more. She's an MD student, but at the moment she seems a tad too content just to follow him around like Rose did. I feel like I want her to start challenging what she sees or what the doctor does a bit, give her character a bit of power to wield.

I'm rather enjoying this particular shot/scan:

It's difficult to judge what little weve seen of it so far, the whole game is so stylised some of the stuttering might simply just be part of it's psychotic atmosphere.

Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama or the Simpsons?
gaggle64 replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
Pretty much the first ten season of Simsons are solid gold. About the only reason Simpsons has gone shit is because they've literaly run out of things to write and Fox refuse to let them die. -
To be fair, I can't imagine translating 40+ hours of story and dialogue into five different languages is the sort of thing that can be done as a simple two week project.
