  1. Now that Donnington has it's planning permission and has already begun building work, the BBC have thrown up a fabulous little highlights reel of the 93 Euro GP, scene of Senna's world shattering wet weather drive. Check it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7817881.stm
  2. Ooh la moi, I never get a good start to the season. Bah. =(
  3. This the Creative Writing MAs you looking at, ya?
  4. Blurgh - last night I checked me email and found my tutor had sent me a big PDF of stuff that would have been very useful to me if I'd had it when I started this bloody assignment. Ah well, he's offered me extra time if I need it. Frankly I'm not sure if he even gives a fig about the deadline - it's usually a couple of weeks until he marks anything we hand in. Makes it very difficult to keep motivated to keep deadlines. >_< Gah. I just want this thing over and done with now anyway.
  5. My housemates often compare me to a cat. Apparently they've observed me getting comfortable "literally almost anywhere", and constantly being drawn towards radiators and warm sun rays coming through the window. I'm catman.
  6. Grah, just got a few hundred words of this blasted assignment to go but my soul feels totally crushed, my mind feels betrayed and my inner will to carry on said it couldn't be arsed anymore and has long since buggered off to Vietnam to buy itself a trophy husband.
  7. Odwin rather reminds me of this fella.
  8. Gawd, this academic assignments are so boring. And with my tutor, rarely well explained. I've already done half of the bluddy thing, but then my tutor decided to set the date back again, and of course I forgot all about it over Christmas. >_> It's generally just unbelievably blah. So blah, it's actually quite painful.
  9. Dear god, grab the collectors edition - the original Longest Journey is possibly the most magical game you will ever play.
  10. Wahey, the landlord (papa Carlisle, as we call him) came round and repressurised the boiler. Would have made sweet love to the man if he'd asked me to. It's nice to be warm enough to not have basic instincts feral instincts overtake your conscious mind in the search for warmth.
  11. God bless us, every one.
  12. Brrrrr. I'm so god damn cold right now it's even less funny then usual. The boiler need re-pressurising and the central heating will barely work until it does, and the maintenance dude who knows how to do it can't come until the afternoon because he's got a burst water pipe in his own home. Doh! >.<
  13. I'll admit it's not one I'd use under... ideal circumstances. In fact, I suppose somebody would have to be truly desperate straits. As such, I've probably used it more often then I'm comfortable with.
  14. "If I told you you had a beautiful body, would you let me buy you a drink?"
  15. Click on somebody's team profile, there's a "challenge team" button in there about.
  16. I'm coming for ya Moogle. Whooo!
  17. Started journey at half one, got back home at about 9. I'd probably be less exhausted if about three hours of that wasn't just waiting for connections in the freezing cold. x.x
  18. Anyone want to try their luck against the 64ers? I got a new defender who could use a run out.
  19. Dan Dare - He's basically me, albeit me exactly one year from now. Take some notes, let me plan ahead. Plus all conventional concepts of concious thought would almost certainly collapse due to our identicle brainwave patterns. Either that or we'll join to become a two-headed psychic super soldier, call ourselves Psiclopticon and start our own Marvel franchise. The movie will premiere in 2011 and star Matt Le Blanc & Tom Jane, with John Travolta playing a mean spirted city cop trying to uncover our mysterious and veiled past. Should be fun.
  20. Quantum of Solace A decent followup to Casino Royale with plenty of pace and stylish setpieces, with me just about clinging to the plot as the film charged through one explosion after another. I do hope this shaky-cam method of filming action goes out of fashion soon though. And do our embassies often send strip-o-grams on official business?
  21. Pretty good day - went for a good ol fog walk, saw my Gran and Grandpa. Both just about holding up, but they're definitly old. Just chilled with the family - got thrashed at monopoly again, ate like a prince. A fat prince, one of those corpulent evil ones who's only in charge because the good king is off protecting the land and now they want to tax the locals into poverty to guild their castle and force the fair lady of a local family into wedlock. I'll get you yet Robin Hood! Aww, that doesn't sound nice. Sounds like it hurts, in fact. Hope you feel better soon.
  22. Risky Business Tom Cruise in his pre-anti-thetan days plays model student Joel in a Ragen-esque feel good comedy about a model business student who finds love and happiness by prostituting women. Frankly, I find the whole thing fucking creepy. 0___o There's just something wrong about a film whos only speaking female character who isn't a prostitute is the main character's miserly mother. :/
  23. Well, after a lot of wrangling my gran finally made it out of the hospital in time for New Year. She had to sit for three hours in a freezing hospital lobby while waiting for the pre-arranged hospital transport back home, but by god she made it back.
  24. Love the hair - reminds me of the northen lights for some reason.
