  1. Vote Lib Dem! Every vote they get will give them a better argument for electoral reform if they get the chance!
  2. So basically, don't vote Cameron because he's not conservative/homophobic/anti-European enough? Seriously, that guy is an asshole. If you're in a Lab/Con swing seat, my advice is to vote Labour and hope for a hung parliament.
  3. It's interesting though to think that about month a go the Tories were looking certain to walk it. Now they can't even be confident of an overall majority. I don't have work on Friday so I think I'll stay up for the preliminary results in the wee hours. The polls are so finely balanced anything could go anyway. Plus Charlie Brooker + David Mitchell on Channel 4 = Raw Sexiness. Satirical sexiness!
  4. TAG YOU'RE IT!

pass it on no backsies kthxbai

    (I feel ridiculous.)

  5. Commissioned by Newsnight. Best use of license payer money ever. More - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8627790.stm
  6. Grargh, paying my council tax online and my balance owed at some point turned into £500 more then it should be. I'm sure it's just a mistake but goddammit I hate having to call and sort this stuff out. Even when I've got money getting all this sort of bollocks sorted out is the one thing that's always guaranteed to stress me. Dip my testicles in Bisto and leave me tied up in a nest of carnivorous rats if you want to, just as long as the bills are all sorted.
  7. I thought this was a great two parter. Maybe not The BEST WHO EVER yet but not far off. I reckon by this time next season we'll be getting stronger and stronger material as the writers figure out the new Who persona (though I still think the first episode was utterly sublime). Did anyone else hear the sound of a rulebook being torn up when the Doc said "Time can be re-written" and then just stood there staring across the sea? They basically seem to take the one die-cast rule set up by the RTD/Tennant era and cocked a gun to it's head. Can't wait to see what happens when they pull the trigger. Also I like this veracious side of Amy, at least towards the doctor. More of that please, weird as it is. Rawr.
  8. Probably going to be longer then that, if the results are as close as the polls suggest they will be.
  9. If we're all quite done herding the innocent onto cattle trains, I see the papers are coming out with their sponsorships. The Times (and presumably the rest of the Murdoch press now they have a better lead) comes out for the Conservatives while The Guardian (again, shockingly) backs the Liberal Democrats. Tomorrow I'm fulling expecting the Pope to come out as Catholic.
  10. It's a little cringe-worthy hearing them describe it as "the No.1 action series of all time" knowing full well all the people actually responsible for that are all gone.
  11. I think it's a great tune, though it's worth tracking down the original version which actually a nicely thoughtful protest track.
  12. Best article on the election debates yet - http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2010/apr/29/leaders-debate-naked-politician I'll leave that image to sink in.
  13. I haven't bought a football game in four years (Fifa 05 for a fiver) but I've greatly enjoyed the demo for this. I think I'll wait until a couple of months after the World Cup to get it at which point retailers will inevitably be begging you to take them.
  14. Finally joined the blogosphere today. I read far too many papers, thought it was about time find a proper outlet for my cack handed and badly punctuated points of view on current affairs.
  15. I spent most of that debate snorting into my tea every time Cameron promised "change". If they wanted to do something different from Labour they would've done more in opposition before this election.
  16. Whoo! Happy Birthday!
  17. Can you facepalm yourself?
  18. A slightly minor point but I'm incredibly glad to see a wing snapping off in that video. It's been too long coming for an F1 game with decent damage modeling. I'll be disappointed if I'm not shearing other people's wheels off through the Monaco harbor tunnel.
  19. With nothing going on the news, I went to get a sandwich. Came back with a sandwich, flicked the news back on and Gordon has successfully shot himself in the kneecaps. Obviously, my sandwich had magical powers! Political powers! Had!
  20. THIS HILL IS SO IMPROBABLE! from the maker of I know we've all seen it, but it's awesome and vaguely topical.
  21. Always putting the white man down. *shakes head*
  22. Could've gotten hammered today. Didn't, didn't much else anyway. Call it a wasted day, and try to move on. Apart from read a lot of Axe Cop. So maybe not totally wasted.
  23. But if it involves an old man it's not a proper review without his patented Old Man Rating system! Also, specifics! Are they Spicy Bears?
