  1. It's better than losing everything... AGAIN! They just didn't pull it off quite as well as it couldve been done.
  2. I'm loving this as much as I loved Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64. The Team Tactical matches are awesome, especially when we all have the headset to work together even more efficiently! This is easily the best FPS on the Wii. As good as some others are they just don't compare to this!
  3. I've been a member of the site since the end of the N64-Europe days but I hadn't ever really posted much at all in General Chit Chat. I think the only reason in truth is that I could never be bothered to talk about anything other than gaming... and now with the Wii being online, I mostly use the forums to see who's coming online and then usually chat about other things whilst we're online together. To me the site will always be about a Nintendo community predominantly and not so much about the "General" N-E community... sorry guys! I'll mainy use the General Chit Chat Threads for the Anime/Manga Thread to see what people recommend. In short; I use the forum for things that my friends aren't into (Nintendo basically) and that we don't chat about.
  4. It depends. If you want to search out someone in particular that you haven't yet bumped into, you do enter a code to search, but this is essentially like entering someone's Gamertag to search for them. No exchanging of codes will be done, simply a friend request will be sent to that person who can then accept or decline. If you want to add someone from the game lobby you just highlight their name, click A and you have a bunch of options, one of which is to send a friend request which they can accept or decline, again without the exchange of any codes at all. If you wish to add someone you played with earlier in the day, you can check your "recently played" list, select the person you wish to add and send a request, again no exhange of codes necessary.
  5. Black Ops on the Wii really does give an Xbox Live experience, no friend codes... but it is specific to Black Ops only. You can see who is playing Black Ops, who's on the multiplayer, who's on the zombies, you can send messages to anyone, view a list of anyone who you've recently played with online and send simple friend requests without having to trade any codes whatsoever. Seriously, it's near identical to Live (except specificly to Black Ops)! But I agree that it shouldn't have taken Treyarch to show that it could be done, Nintendo should've done this straight off the bat.
  6. I don't get why GoldenEye didn't use the headset seeing as it came out almost the sane time as Black Ops did. It works great and just makes the whole online experience a hell of a lot better. I hope that Nintendo really do up the ante as far as online goes, Black Ops shows what it could be like, giving an Xbox Live experience on the Wii. I don't see why Nintendo haven't embraced this at all!
  7. Happy birthday N-Europe! Here's to many more, woo-hoo!!!
  8. Happy birthday Lostmario!!!!!!!!

  9. I'm a fan of the originals and I saw them as fluff (not the animals mind, but the other Kongs for sure were fluff!). I get that some prefer the originals but to say that this has "lost it's soul" is not the case at all. The game is as charming as ever!
  10. Well I'm going to bed. Considering I'm a Chelsea fan, I'll be be crying myself to sleep!
  11. I think this is the first time I do not whole-heartedly agree with Tapedeck. I never felt that the Kremlings, the animal buddies or the rest of the Kongs to be important to the games. DKC 1 was my favourite of 1-3 because you played as DK himself, losing him and introducing annoying characters was the biggest loss of soul the series experienced in my view. I never cared for any of the Kremlings, I always thought that the Beaver was the best enemy simply because he walked funny and sometimes came at you inside big-ass wooden wheels... they were hilarious! The animals were great, don't get me wrong, but I always preferred getting around as either DK or Diddy. Which is where I do start to agree with some of the points... not being able to play as Diddy in single player is disheartening, even though I was always a DK player, but being able to switch would've been great to have kept. Also, the originals did have a little bit more atmosphere to them which I do miss a bit, but I wouldn't say that it then lacks soul as the levels themselves lend soul to the experience! It's the fact that the level design is so big a factor in the fun of the game that it trumps all these minor disappointments and in my eyes this the game really shines when I compare it to the originals. This is my favourite DKC without a shadow of a doubt!
  12. I don't care what the elitists say, DKCR is the best of the franchise. Level design is better, the Tiki's are a refreshing change from the Kremlings (they got a bit tiresome) and all those damn annoying Kongs have been scrapped! Thank god Retro sorted out DKCR!
  13. I'm loving this game so far, only up to world 4 but I've loved every minute of it up to now... long may it continue! I get the "it doesn't feel quite like the old DKC games" but as far as not got a patch on them, I think this one has been better up to now. The level design is awesome!
  14. I was going to buy this in the new year but I'm not going to now. ...because a friend dropped it off at mine this morning! He won £1000 at the casino last night and thought I should have it sooner than "in the new year"! Haha I owe him big time now!
  15. ^^ Theres no problem turning in Wii FPS games. Where'd you get the idea that there is? But I do like the idea of Cloud Gaming becoming the future.
  16. It's available at http://www.gamesbasement.com (or .co.uk I'm not sure which). Quite a few of us have the headset already and the quality of the thing is brilliant! It's so good that you'd think it's a first party piece of equipment!
  17. I'd advise to also, simply because the campaign is the best thing about this game and is even better than the campaign of many other modern shooters! It absolutely shines!
  18. Anyone pick this up for Christmas then?
  19. So true! I've not seen us look this awful in an absolute age! Makes me want to cry, haha.
  20. This thread is becoming my guilty pleasure! Haha
  21. I'd have personally gone for Metroid Prime for the whole thing but out of the two remaining MM gets my vote!
  22. City Hunter?! There are so many better ones than City Hunter... although I did like the Street Fighter homage in it.

You should check out Dragons Forever... easily one of the best martial arts film ever and the last fight is so amazing it blows your mind!

  23. Sorry man, it's Kung-Fu Christmas on the Syfy Channel and I'm such a huge martials arts (films included) fan that I have to watch them!

The Big Boss is on just now, followed by Game of Death and I've already had the pleasure of watching the great Police Story 2! Haha

  24. Why did Princess Diana cross the road? Momentum! ................................................................ My job is so fucking unbelievable. I'll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with: First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but damn is she completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on make-up. She is extremely self-centred and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself. She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breathe. The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet. Her career opportunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm not sure she even showers, much less shaves her "womanly" parts. I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive by the hardware store she moans like a cat in heat. But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the fucking stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead. In fact, he is baked before he comes to work, during work, and I'm sure after work. He probably hasn't been sober any time in the last ten years, and he's only 22. He dresses like a beatnik throwback from the 1960's, and to make things worse, he brings his big fucking dog to work. Every fucking day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walk around half-stoned from the second-hand smoke. Hell, sometimes I even think it's trying to talk with its constant bellowing. Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonald's and Burger King, every single fucking day. Anyway, I drive these fucktards around in my van and we solve mysteries and shit.
