From what I've been led to believe, Goldeneye doesn't support patches. If you need an FPS fix I'd say bite the bullet and get Black Ops, it's multiplayer is far superior to any other Wii FPS out there.

I gave the 360 version a blast at my bro's at weekend and enjoyed kicking some ass. Loved the Chopper Gunner killstreak and if I'm honest, I am a bit gutted it's not included in the Wii version as I'd roll with Attack Helicopter, Chopper Gunner and Attack Dogs if it did. How's everyone finding the game? Are you representing N-Europe online at all as Lostmario suggested?

I love the originals but find the Kong Clan fooking annoying! I'm glad they're not in it, it's therefore an improvement already! Although the lack of other animal helpers is a bit of a downer! I'm glad they've tailored the game towards fans though and got rid of all the annoying Kongs! Oh and I couldn't care less about the Kremlings, it's about time they learnt their lesson... they can't beat DK! ...ok, so I say that with tongue in cheek, kind of. You can't say that this isn't being geared towards fans of the originals at all considering how many fans are looking forward to the game, myself included. I actually am glad that they've gotten rid of the Kong Clan though, they were all annoying as hell.

I thought about posting it there but wasn't too sure if it belonged there either as it's not a discussion in regards to the game itself but the spending of silly money on gaming.

He's not rich at all, although he doesn't really have any outgoings other than his phone bill. He is a gambler however, ealier this year he won £18,000 in one month gambling on various things... the utterly stupid thing is, he then went and lost £17,000 of it in ONE WEEK gambling again! I think that he may be doing this to stop himself going out and gambling... but in effect it's still gambling, just in hope of getting a decent team on FIFA. The guy, no doubt, is an idiot! Anyhoo, have any of you lot spent silly money on gaming at all?

The reason why I can't think of a thread title is because I'm so bemused and baffled at one of my friends and his need to have a good team on FIFA 2011 on the Xbox 360. I don't have it myself so I'm not too sure what game mode it's played under but... my friend, over the last 2 weeks, has gone and spent over £700 on Microsoft points to then buy FIFA Coins (or whatever they're called) to then buy Player Packs (if that's what they're called) in which he has a chance (yes, only a chance) at getting decent players for his team! Even with his now decent team, he's still crap at the game and gets beat quite a lot... is this the biggest waste of money on gaming? I know I went a little crazy when I bought Steel Battalion 1 & 2 and the controller for them for £180 but surely his spending spree on the one game alone is the most crazy thing ever?!

There's no wasting time on Monster Hunter! I've put in 460 hours and it's all time well spent! Haha

Yeah it had those problems a lot at the beginning, they've generally been ironed out but there are still a few connection issues when trying to get into games. Activision need to sort it out quickly!

I'm gonna have to agree with Zechs on this one. So more people play the HD versions, that's nothing to do with the game itself, you don't need 1 million people online, you're not going to play with all of them are you?! 6k online is fine, you don't need more than that, heck, you don't even actually need that many online, you'll not play them all in one night! Zechs is right about the Ally codes too, you don't need them too add people, they're there to use to search a player out, just like if you were searching a gamertag on xbox live, you can always send requests without using the Ally code. I read the review and it seems like he's not really played the game, just gave it a quick go and made a snap decision. Sure the game had bugs, but if you look at the other forum thread or speak to those that have played the HD versions (or have played them yourself, as I have) you'd know that the HD versions have suffered from the same bugs! It's a terrible review of a game, no matter how you look at it!

Just buy Black Ops anyway, it's well worth it!

I still haven't even loaded up the multiplayer part of this game yet... I will do at some point I'm sure (Black Box looks far too good a game mode to miss out on) but Call of Duty is owning me at the moment! Are any of the Goldeneye players here looking to get Black Ops at all?

I feel exactly the same! I just don't have faith in Nintendo doing so either! The thing is, Call of Duty Black Ops shows that the Wii can have a fantastic online system if treated right!

There's a rumour going around the web that Nintendo have discontinued the Wii Speak peripheral, as per the link below... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-16-nintendo-discontinues-wii-speak Could this be Nintendo taking a step backwards towards online gaming or could it be to push a third party peripheral; the Headbanger Headset... which I must add, is an awesome piece of kit!

Well I've finished the campaign now and did enjoy it more as I went through it... but I'd say it's got nothing on the campaign from Modern Warfare (CoD4). I preferred Modern Warfare's campaign in every single way! Still, online is where it's at and I'm loving it... although they still need to improve the matchmaking and host selection.

That wasn't Chelsea vs Sunderland today, it was Chelsea vs Spainderland! We were completely outplayed, I've not seen us be outplayed like that for ages... not at The Bridge! Well done Sunderland, we were well and truly beaten... badly beaten!

It's a fantastic piece of equipment! It works very well and the sound quality is crystal clear. It feels well built and yet it's not too heavy or too light when it sits on your ear. It really is a MUST-HAVE for this game!

It gets better, in fact it gets great. It's a brilliant campaign!

Funnily enough, Donkey Kong Country Returns is the best SNES/Megadrive/Sonic/Zelda and DKC game!
