Definitely is. Although also I realised part of my reason for struggling so much was having the wrong sword equipt and my armour being in dire need of repair.. too much depth to remember, ha. Did the wedding mission last night. Geralt's voice actor deserves some serious credit for that one. Excellent mission. This game is such an accomplishment. Did you guys see this? http://www.gamesradar.com/cd-projekt-red-2016-game/ Intriguing. I'd probs buy anything CDPR make right now

What's your favourite movie of all time?

Ha, I thought I'd make it like a fun gameshow format. How many did you get? I'd also add Pratty's shout of The Matrix to my list. Still holds up brilliantly. -
Ah right yeah - makes sense - understandable. Make sure you get Dreadhalls for the Rift when it arrives. Poor graphics next to other Occulus games but a great experience. And yeah heard good things about that - monument valley makers right? I think I'll give it a download.

Going with Big Paul's pretentious pictures only style Need to check on that last one though, watched it pretty delirious toward the end of a 24 hour set of flights -
Did you ever get round to trying some games for the gear? Just because I downloaded Dreadhalls this evening and it's a fantastic experience. Honestly can't remember the last time I was quite so scared by a game / film / whatever. Shame the rest of the games are so trash - but it really makes me excited about the prospects (and benefits of) gaming on occulus / PS VR

Haha. But there's only one of them! So noone knows about it. Really making work to explain the nuances of this hypothetical reality aren't you

Don't worry Bobski they've got that covered - you can only see the demon in question if you have or have had it passed on to you. So, what would you do?
-
Watched It Follows the other night. Premise is there's a demon that follows people but can only be passed on to someone else by having sex with them. Great fun - well characterised, good jump scares, and shot in this kind of Twin-Peaksy way with fab synth music. Good group watch with the 'what would you do' scenario. Go see it! I also watched Anomalisa which is great if you're into long hyper-realistic puppet porn.

I've been keeping up with it, but I keep reading and hearing the same generally gyst from hands-ons, which is roughly along the lines of 'we only got to try a tightly focused half hour of gameplay so we still don't know much about the depth of the game'. I know there's trading, survival aspects, and a few npcs have been incorporated now, but there's nothing more to suggest to me that there's much in the way of varied gameplay beyond what we've seen - every gameplay demo has been pretty identical. Obviously I'm hoping to be proved wrong and understand if they're just keeping things under wraps until release but I'm surprised so many people are pre-ordering based on what we know. I'll be waiting for the reviews in any case.

tbf sounds like a massive jump but I can't imagine many people at all were buying a ps camera on its own a week or two ago so any jump was probably going to give a massive percentage jump. Glad it's going down well though. The more the sales, the more interest from developers. My appetite is currently satiated by the gear but I'm definitely keen for fleshed out games in VR. I'll wait for the reviews and a slight price decrease - No Man's Sky could swing it for me if there's more to it than the recycled 10 minutes of gameplay we've seen.

Fuucckk me. Finally booted hearts of stone up this evening. That bloody frog is a right old ring of fire after a few months. As is that damn mage. Also I'd forgotten how quite painfully long the loading times are. Luckily I'd also forgotten what a totally gorgeous game it is. Nice new cast of characters to boot. Intrigued to get stuck back in.

I actually came on here to see if anyone had picked this up - looks fab. I'll have to wait for a mac version whenever the chap gets round to it. How does it differ from Harvest Moon? Or is it a full on tribute?
-
Finished this at last. Had an absoloute blast playing it, even if we got pretty poor endings. Gutted that

I'd actually be fine with the weird release schedule if it wasn't so pricey to buy things separately. I'd buy the first episode right now but intro pack + subsequent upgrade pack if I liked it comes to fifty quid. Not paying that. I also seem to remember getting a mission form Hitman 2 or blood money on a demo disk way back when. Now it's over a tenner. Eh. All the reviews make it sound like a game I really want to play though. Shame

Re: BT Sport - Me and my flatmates all borrow various friends logins. The amount of people with a BT internet and thus a BT sport subscription is a much bigger pool than you'd think. Just ask around and reach out to an aunt / cousin / colleague / whatever for their login that they probably aren't using. Pretty good service and I like their vibe, if you can get it. Wasn't too pleased about this in the last 5 minutes of the Spurs Arsenal game at the weekend though. Second advice: lshunter.net with an adblocker has been a fairly frustration-free streaming experience lately for me

Haha you know what, I just looked back and I realised that you said it's not different from other telltale games, where they choices don't matter. Crucially missed the not part. And yeah, played the Witcher 3, probably my all time favorite game - narks me off slightly that telltale can be bested at storytelling and branching storylines by CDPRed when the latter are also building a huge open world and varied gameplay. But there we go, incomparable budgets I guess. Anyway - thanks for the advice - I'll get round to WD2 on my own at some point - for now we played some of the first episode of TotB last night - laughed out loud on a few occasions. Thanks for the heads up on Dreamfall chapters - Looks interesting, might hold off until it hits ps4 though

Eh, it's alright, nova launcher and others have infinite customisability so I don't see that as a plus. Adding a swipe to access google now takes about 5 seconds to set up - similar to swipe to any app. I also think that the app icons from google, while better than most, aren't as well designed and consistent as the best icon packs you can buy from designers on the play store. Each to their own.

Hey brah I was wondering about this - you said in the TotBorderlands thread that that one actually had choices that mattered. Is that right? Did it effect your enjoyment? I'm trying to work out which multiple choice game to play next having almost finished Thrones s1 with my girlfriend (we loved it). No previous knowledge of Wolf / Borderlands - not sure if that makes them more or less appealing. Is Life is Strange actually better than Telltale's output? Which do you think is the best option? (I've also played s1 walking dead which was as flink says one of the all time greats in my book)

Thanks man - Good to hear! Slow progress.. but yeah, I'll have to post them in motion when I eventually get around to finishing my showreel too.
-
Finally got around to this - playing it through with my girlfriend - perfect game for passing the controller back and forth. Anyway - absolutely loving it! The telltale moments where it becomes clear that the choices don't change much are a bit of a downer but in general I'm finding it captures the spirit of the show really well- we've had more than a couple of moments of red-wedding-esque reactions. Good range of characters too Finished episode 5 last night

Noone wants to win it ey? Thought we'd trip up today. Still, three off top... Saturday's the big one!

Probably the best value for money I've had in my entire life

Nice buy - Looking forward to some posts in the photography thread!
