You can't prove he doesn't exist. Nasir can't prove he does. All that is left is personal belief and speculation. Carry on.

Why Zelda Wii will probably be the best game ever.
Patch replied to Edjamakated's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Great post Edjamakated. I agree with your sentiments entirely. I'm hoping the next Zelda will be different to anything we've seen before. I'm sure there is plenty of potential. Do you own Zack & Wiki by any chance? -
The one trophy I need is the Stickers trophy. Which you get for collecting all 700 stickers. I have all the other trophies, including the ones from SSE. I got one more sticker last night, so I now have 695 stickers. Man, it's tedious.
-
No-one's being *that* arrogant really. Now, can we get back to discussing how brilliant I am please? Trophies: 543/544 Stickers: 694/700 Just 6 stickers to go! Woo.
-
Come to think of it, this friend of mine did mention something about a low growling noise coming from the glovebox while driving down the M1... We're getting there, little by little! Anyone else want to take a stab at it?
-
Cool, thanks. Japanese would take me a lifetime to learn I think.

*Uses Phoenix Down* Given that Bluey is now happy (I think. It was hard to tell), Patch needs you too! Seeing this thread reminded me of a label in my friend's car that's written in Japanese. We spent a while looking up symbols and all we got was that it's a warning about the car. Any ideas? Is there an ejector seat? Underwater mode?

Etrian Odyssey I, II & III - first person dungeoneering
Patch replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The last case of Trials and Tribulations is probably the most memorable of all the cases in the first three games. But it's very very long, so you'll need to free up some time for it! Likewise. I don't have as much time these days so I've cut back on console game purchases. But then I've bought stuff on the Virtual Console, which has put me straight back to square one. -
Two PC games I have played recently: Maniac Mansion Deluxe - I never got into the original as I had already been spoilt by Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max etc... Maniac Mansion just felt . . . clunky by comparison. Understandably, as it was the first SCUMM game. This is a high quality fan-made game. Repton 3 - Classic BBC game revamped to include online scoring that you can buy cheaply from Superior Software. Brilliant value for money. A good remake is one that takes a classic game that everyone loves, but which isn't playable any more, and makes the game enjoyable to existing and new fans alike.

Etrian Odyssey I, II & III - first person dungeoneering
Patch replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yep, I'm in the same position with Apollo Justice. I also have a mountain of games to get through and it's the RPGs that are to blame! So I don't really need another one right now. But if I did, I'd probably jump straight to the second game. darksnowman, you are obviously determined to be a fan of the series! -
Me too. I remember some Atari 2600 manuals being pretty thick. Given the games were usually simplistic, if the instructions were a large size, then this promised the game was going to be really deep and complicated. It never was of course. There were three pages of instructions in English and 57 pages of foreign language instructions. No exaggeration.

Etrian Odyssey I, II & III - first person dungeoneering
Patch replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
So there are now at least three people into Etrian. Has anyone bought the second game (on import)? It's supposed to be a little better in the dungeon trawling department. -
Interesting. I don't have a credit card and I never will. I cringe every time I see 'Buy Now, Pay Later'. This sort of mentality is all over the place as a Good Thing , which annoys me. I was encouraged to save my pocket money as a child and I get far more satisfaction out of a purchase when I've saved up for it for a while. We need more 'Save Now, Buy Later'.
-
Couldn't agree more. I think they had a great original concept, coupled with a new control method which should have produced a very original game. I wonder, though, if they struggled to translate that concept into a good game mechanic.

Even if the Nolan's aren't interested, that probably won't stop the studio. Granted, the next film probably wouldn't be half as good without them, but it's probably going to be history repeating itself. Batman (Burton), Batman Returns (Burton), Batman Forever (Schumacher). But then again, we never saw a Titanic sequel, did we?

Haha. It's probably in the shops right now*, waiting for Nintendo's go ahead to put them on shelves. I love the way the game has been in development for ages without much info and then *BAM*, it's out in a few weeks. No-one has any idea how good it's going to be. *along with Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

For individual people, you are right. Everyone has their own style. The Tiers are a general list of characters that for professionals indicate which characters enable their players to perform better than other characters. I suppose it's like saying 'Which swimsuit designs and fabrics are the best in competition?' Some will wear all-over sharkskin emulated fabrics, some will wear minimal lycra fabrics. That's not to say that those wearing the sharkskin fabrics will always beat those wearing lycra fabrics, but it does mean that the odds are in their favour. At least, this is how I understand the meaning behind Tiers and I realise that was a crap analogy.
-
Thanks! Keep at it Mike and let me know how you get on! I main Captain Falcon, so obviously that Tier List sucks (joking!). The Smash Boards do stress that it is version 1.0 of their list, so there may be some changes. No surprises with Meta Knight, but I was surprised to see Snake up there.

Haha. As I'm sure we're all aware by now, the most famous of the unwritten rules of the internet is that all new FPS games MUST be compared to Halo and Metroid at some point. Not forgetting the slightly less famous rule where all non-FPS games must also be compared to Halo and Metroid at some point.

I loved what you said there. Nintendo are quite clearly having fun with their software lineup. They are embracing their creative freedom to the full. As far as Europe are concerned, things do seem better. The delay of Brawl is the only thing that disappointed me and even then only slightly so. We all know Nintendo are raking in the cash; I suppose they are spending some of that money on improving NoE in all areas. I have certainly seen more Wii adverts than Gamecube adverts.

Hear, hear! Isn't it odd that people get so passionate about a videogame that's not even out yet? You'd think the entire staff of HVS and Bungie were posting on here. Legendary.

If anyone's interested*, I got the Mizzo trophy at last! So I now have: Trophies: 543 / 544 Stickers: 683 / 700 Just 17 stickers to go. Course, this will take almost as long as it took to get 683. If not longer. *Doubtful, I know

There's a bit of non-Wii choice too. Sonic the Hedgehog! Mario 64!

Haha. You can join my Stupid Club . I also finally completed it with the star right in front of me. There was an earlier part of the level that I wanted to try something on, so I thought 'I'll jump into the pipe and go back to it briefly. I'm sure the star will still be there when I go back'. I think you can guess the rest. Nnnnnngggggg.
