1. They're all toughies. Steggy 2: Space Crusade? Steggy 3: Lair? Dragon's Lair?
2. I would make a great moderator. I'd sort out the rabble in no time. What else are you looking for currently?
3. Scores / nando / (7) Happenstance (5) goaferboy (4) darksnowman (3) Chris the great (3) Patch (3) Jonnas (2) Moogleviper (2) steggy (1) Coolness Bears (1) welsh_gamer (1) ShavenWolf (1) Mundi (1) Shino (1) Deathborn (1) Assuming I totalled it right...
4. Not played DKC3 yet, but who knows, if I complete DKC2 I might get round to it. Can you finish the game, then come back to each level to go for 10x%?
5. It's fine - you guys carry on. I'm going to discuss Esequiel's collection in the DKC Series thread. I agree with lostmario - car boot sales are great for videogame hunting. It's so satisfying finding something really rare and getting it for a ridiculously cheap price.
6. That wasn't the idea, but it definitely came out that way! I've played DKC and DKC2 and I think DKC2 is more difficult. I'd settle very happily for 100%. Presumably you have to be some godlike being to get over that.
7. Haha. There are some hilarious statements in there, which are bound to raise the hackles of some humourless drones. It's interesting to see her confirm the dissatisfaction of Nintendo fans in the first place, but reacting to it by saying they love it and implying that this is their aim; it's priceless!
8. I googled it since I don't think anyone knows this: Gabriel Knight 3: Blood Of The Sacred, Blood Of The Damned?
9. Any game from any era is fine with me. I try to inject a little difficulty into mine, just to stop the first poster guessing all three in one go.
10. Wow - You've collected all that since January 2009? You're an ebayer's dream! Some things I noticed: 1. You're addicted to Pepsi (as well as collecting gaming paraphernalia). 2. What is the mystery Wii game? Is it something really embarrassing? 3. Anyone with Blast Corps in their collection is a dude. You are a dude.
11. Really? I hadn't noticed at all. AT ALL. I must get back to playing DKC2 at some point. I need to keep playing these hardcore classics to remind me how easy gaming is these days...
12. My earliest controller was the one that came with the Binatone system. It's not really unusual, but they are really old and basic. It had no buttons, just a dial. This is the only pic I could find of them (to the left of the console). And of course, who could forget the SuperScope?
13. 1. Stolen Guesses: 2. Agatha Christie's And then there were none 2. Secret Files: Tunguska
14. What can I say? I like my FPS games to take more than a single lifetime to try everything with. Your sig reminds me of another one actually. I remember thinking Cool Spot looked really good and original, but the gameplay was a little too shallow IIRC. That could have been a classic game.
15. Rainbow Islands is correct. Scores / nando / (5) Happenstance (4) darksnowman (3) Chris the great (3) goaferboy (3) Jonnas (2) Moogleviper (2) steggy (1) Coolness Bears (1) welsh_gamer (1) ShavenWolf (1) Mundi (1) Shino (1) Deathborn (1)
16. Correcto. I knew these would be too easy.
17. Another three: 1. 2. 3.
18. Metal Gear Solid Granted, the only MGS game I have played (to completion) was Twin Snakes on the Gamecube, so maybe the other games are tons better, but the appeal of this game is an utter mystery to me. The game was bland, linear, boring and incredibly short. All the way through I was expecting something incredible to happen and it never did.
19. Another Code: Trace Memory (DS) A great control method, an interesting story, some neat puzzles. I enjoyed every minute of it. It's just a shame the game ends shortly after getting off the boat. More length and a bit more variety would have made it quite special. Final Fantasy VII Skippable cutscenes and battle sequences would instantly have made this 12% more enjoyable. Perfect Dark Great gameplay, lastability, but would it have killed them to include more multiplayer options?
20. Correct! Scores Happenstance (4) darksnowman (3) Chris the great (3) / nando / (3) goaferboy (3) Jonnas (2) Moogleviper (1) steggy (1) Coolness Bears (1) welsh_gamer (1) ShavenWolf (1) Mundi (1) Shino (1) Deathborn (1)
21. Chase HQ and Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo are correct. Choplifter isn't far off...
22. Bit late, but here we go: 1. 2. 3.
23. You're super-knowledgable and you're in first place, so sure, why not? I'll probably post a few more at lunchtime.
24. 1. Snoopy Tennis Tabletop Game & Watch* Like a mini-arcade game, in colour! Probably worth quite a bit on ebay. 2. Homemade games for the Spectrum and C16 It's hilarious looking back at them now. 3. N64 magazine that published my Goldeneye article Must have been a slow month. 4. Sealed Gameboy Colour system An import website discovered a load of them unused in a corner and sold them for like, a tenner each or something. It's probably my only 'still sealed' thing. 5. Japanese DS Phat I don't import much, so this has a special place in my heart. *I used to have loads of Game & Watch games, including Judge, but sold them at a car boot sale - one of my biggest regrets.
