Thought I might update my earlier post by saying that I DID buy it on GBA and I started it earlier this year. It's a sublime experience - everything about the game is spot on. It's the pinnacle of square RPGs and it always will be for me. There were so many great ideas. Some of my favourite moments: Celes forced to stand-in for the Opera singer. Ultros boss (the octopus) turning up again and again (not irritatingly so). Recruiting the ghosts on the haunted train to be on your side during battles. Floating Continent music and time limit. I could go on. I'm in the World of Ruin at the moment, trying to get all my friends back. Just have Locke, Relm and Strago to go...

Oh yeah! I really loved the Japanese setting in the original. It really made the game stand out to me. I'd like it if they retained a Japanese element somehow.

I probably never would have considered buying a PS2 if it weren't for GTA. But now that I have one - and have finished playing GTA - I start thinking 'What are the classic PS2 (and PS1) games that I've missed out on.' And there's rather a lot... Trouble is, I have so many things to play on Wii and DS, it's not even funny. There are three more Wii/DS games I need to buy and I still haven't finished Final Fantasy VII, after having started it at the beginning of the year. What I really need is two weeks of holiday, dedicated to catching up on games. Or to be a kid again. I know what you mean about the guilt. It's weird, but I find it hard not to feel an allegiance towards Nintendo, even though I know company allegiance is a Crazy Thing . I was into videogames long before Nintendo produced a home console and I'm a Gamer at heart, not a ThisCompany Gamer or ThatCompany Gamer. I suppose it's because I have only bought Nintendo consoles since the Megadrive. Since getting the PS2 though, I haven't looked back!

People talking about me? Interesting? I doubt that. I was going to buy Tomb Raider: Underworld - I haven't played a Tomb Raider game for ages now - but I was put off by the Lever glitch in the Wii version, which forced you to start a new game. So I never bought it and probably never will.

I was in the same boat a while back. Bought a PS2 recently to catch up on a few games I felt I had to try: GTA III, VC, SA God of War Ico Final Fantasy VII <- Currently playing through this. Dragon Quest Only problem is, there simply aren't enough hours in the day.
