  1. S'ok. Yeah, I'd recommend Mogwai, actually, but I forgot about them.
  2. This is ripped from another forum, but yeah, I love a lot of those people you posted. Amazing musicians/lyricists Tori Amos Pj Harvey (Rock, btw, not at all like Tori Amos) Antony And The Johnsons Joanna Newsom Patrick Wolf CocoRosie Sigur Ros Tegan & Sara Laura marling Trip-Hop-y/Beat-based Stuff Bjork Portishead Tricky Goldfrapp Massive Attack Justice Lamb Air Crystal Castles Rock (admitedly not even breached the surface of "deep" rock myself) Velvet Undergrounf Sonic Youth Iggy Pop/The Stooges Patti Smith Siouxsie And The Banshees Nine Inch Nails Cansei De Ser Sexy (or CSS) Hole Nirvana Alanis Morissette (relatively light compared to the others) Radiohead fits in there somewhere too. ----- I've probs missed out loads, but yeah. EDITED a few times.
  3. Massive Attack are great, but Teardrop loses it's shine due to overexposure.
  4. Woke up at the usual time of 1.30 today, had breakfast, dossed about for a bit. I went up to the place where I get my hair done, which is a fancy-schmancy place in town, to talk to my colourist lady about having my hair all red. She said It'd be easy with my hair (she said If the black hadn't faded out, it wouldn't have worked as well), but that'd it be expensive, at £140! I might just DIY it. Also bought an album, Knowle West Boy by Tricky, and a graphic novel, Arkham Asylum: Living Hell.
  5. The guy beside you looks a bit like Bonnie Tyler.
  6. I recommended her to Haggis/Coolness Bears. I don't like her though. Only song I like is, of course, I Kissed A Girl. ---- Knowle West Boy by Tricky Out yesterday, I think, bought It today. Half-way through, and it's awesome. More rock-orientated, whilst maintaining his signature trip-hop esque sound. Pick it up EVERYONE. First single is orgasmic too;
  7. Oh lord, you would listen to Coldplay..kinda fits in with Embrace, lol! Kidding. Sortof.
  8. No. I value my own time, and I'm hardly swamped with a hectic social life (the opposite usually!), but my friends and I meet all the time. Plus I think I have one of the "best" families of many people I know, or at least I feel that way. I know I wouldn't want anyone elses. I'm lucky.
  9. Him mixed with a dash of Alan Carr.
  10. I've died in a dream. Or at least the situation left me in a state where I would feasibly be dead...and the dream didn't end with me alive. I was pierced by a finger-bolt from Frieza, from DragonBall Z. That's quite a cool death, to be fair.
  11. I hated the censorship of it though. And the lack of any good fight scenes.
  12. Interesting. I kept seeing the word "Wanted" as in the movie in my dream, but looking back, maybe I heard it. Also, I saw it on the movie poster, so maybe I saw it as an image. Last night I dreamt I was some sort of...spy person, along with my sister. However, for some reason, I kept imagining I was in Wanted. (Bear in mind I haven't seen Wanted) I kept thinking "When will Angelina appear?"...for some reason I didn't think the same for James McAvoy. I remember getting into an old-fashioned train that was a bit like Thunder Mountain in Disneyland/World, in terms of design. Then I remember some people from school being on the train/ride too, and us all having to dodge gunfiure, but it all felt very lighthearted. I think I remember walking with my sister to the train station like all hunched over, with a canvas or something over me, to disguise myself. There were only a few other people we past, but we had to hide from them. The area we walked through has some significance to me... Looking back, I think I understand what a lot of the dream was about. A lot about life not just being a "Disney ride", that what I do will be real, serious. Hmm. It's actually quite a sad thought (the full interpretation I've just thought about).
  13. I, too, am watching Spectacular Spider-Man (on youtube). I watched the last half of the series before the first, for no particular reason, so I'm in the process of going back through. Really love it now, after being very dissapointed by the first one I saw, the last screened one, which I've found was actually the worst one anyway. Last episode I saw was the first one, which gets a solid 9/10 from me.
  14. *cries* Well Jean-Paul Valley is Azrael..I assume he'll come back and do something bat-related, not just sit there.
  15. "Jean-Paul Valley lives! That's not him!" was written on one of those big walls by Rip Hunter. In Booster Gold or something. All those foresights into the future. So not really teh spoilerz. I think it's basically saying that he's coming back, but he won't take over the role of Batman (already has doen anyway). ------- Re-read Batman: Year One in my Bat-fever. Still awesome! I love the artwork too...and the way Batman and Catwoman's origins interlink (kinda).
  16. I didn't know they were bought out. On Edinburgh's high street, the 2 are about a 3 minute walk from each other, and Gamestation is WAy bigger, with more merchandise.
  17. I want Letty's hair colour, and I WILL have it. I'm getting it bleached + coloured in a few days...you're hair has inspired me.
  18. Which is the European festival Tori Amos is headlining/part of? I'd kill to go to that. EDIT; Folk Festival Dranouter, in Belgium August 1, just checked. *wants to trade places with Eenuh*
  19. I dunno If I'll like Batman R.I.P. Azrael is coming back, which is good...I liked him. But apparently this whole shebang won't end in Bruce being back as Batman until 2010. Still.
  20. Truth. ----- Edward Scissorhands I really like this film. It's just so enjoyable, and generally great. I like Burton too, so that's a plus. 7.5/10
  21. I have a Disney fetish. I just love it. Usually so cynical, but I love Disneyworld and all that stuff. The Disney Rennaisance produced some of it's most solid works; Little Mermaid (1989) - Lilo & Stitch (2002 IIRC)
  22. You didn't watch the theatrical one did you?!
  23. I listened to a few of their tracks, and found it peculiar. While they conjure up some good "soundscapes", the vocals annoy me. They have an almost "typical" singer for standard metal or emo music, but I don't think his voice works with the music. It gets lost, but not in the good way. I dunno. Bad juxtaposition to me. But yeah, the musicians are definitely talented.
