  1. Well, we've chatted a few times over MSN, but i'd been planning to do my hair for ages. BTW, we just did it, and got confused...there's 4 sachets in the box, but it says to use one pot of creme for each sachet, but then also says to only use 1 sachet in the instructions, we actually ran out, So the back-bottom bit is left just light brown. I don't mind that, it'll go a darker red than the rest, which could be cool. Confusing though.
  2. Things That Followed Me Home After My Sojourn Into The Central Business District Of My City, Although To Be Fair, I Laid Down Some Doubloons For Their Company. by Paj * *I actually bought Directions, not Manic Panic.
  3. Oh yeah, I forgot to add; Bluey wins this thread.
  4. My lady story! I need. If only to replace my Batman Begins one. *looks over to the wall where the Batman poster is* Oh my god, it's gone. When did I get rid of it? *is suspicious*
  5. Just buy more books to fill out the shelves, unless, as EEVIL said, you have those mongo shelves with no sides. Then just put a Crystal Ball at one end or something equally cool.
  6. I only have Gabriel and Gorecki (the full version ). I need their albums.
  7. Well to be fair, they should never be compared, as it's a fact that Tori beats Katy. ---- Gabriel by Lamb is one of the saddest songs I've heard in a good long time. I can't explain it, but the first verse, her voice, the way she sings it...made me the most emotional I'd been in a while.
  8. Spectacular Spider-Man Season One Epi 2 "Interactions" Watching them all out of order-sue me. I REALLY liked the way they told the Electro story, only gripe is that his character design isn't angular enough. He was too...round, at the chin. Just threw him off for me. I'm not sure If I like his head being all halo-y with electricity, but it worked fine. I love how each episode is seperate, but also slots into a larger story. 9/10 Off to watch the next one, see how Connors is handled.
  9. Ok. Bought a Joker t-shirt I wanted. Tomorrow I dye my hair luminous red! (after a few setbacks stopping me doing so this week so far) Batman: Gotham Knight isn't out at HMV! I could have sworn the date on the site was 7/7, but apparently it's the 14th now.
  10. I think that's a very powerful photo. At first you wish that woman weren't so awkwardly blocking full-view of the beautiful parade, but then you could interpret it (I know it wasn't staged, but I like drawing conclusions) as Parent(hood) vs. Child(hood). A less perfect and fanciful world awaits than the parade float would like to believe. Then issues of feminism could be adressed; there is a man on the float, a father-figure, enjoying his view and position as much as the young people. There is a clear divide between the mother-figure in the foreground, out of sync, and the father figure. It could be interpreted as feminist; Women see past the fanciful and dreams, and get on a do it, despite that they have often been portrayed as doing the opposite? EDIT; Notable is the fact the woman is walking away (though towards us, also notable), while the children watch, still happy. Some significance could also be in the fact the father-figure is pointing to where the mother-figure is headed...are they mocking her/her destination? EDIT2; The woman and the crowd are a huge distance apart, with only her deviating from either the crowd or the float. Again, this could be a feminist statement against following the "set pattern" for women and wives, to raise a family. She's walking away from the children and the father, and even though the father points (maybe he's supportive on the outside, but not really), no one else is following. Sorry, I was inspired.
  11. HMV, £11.99. They're in a 2 for £20 deal, and they have a few other Batman-related ones, but I've seen their "dirty" Batman symbol one all around town recently, so I just got the one.

    Change

There's a thread in the movies section of another site (Chairdriver and ReZ know this) dedicated to Prince Caspian, the second Narnia film. It quickly turned into a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG-running religion-based discussion, a topic banned on said site. I think they've let it slide due to it all being civil, so that's cool. That changed me. I understand what they're on about more, obviously, but I still find it all to be utterly ridiculous. However, after venting my various mad rantings about how only I exist and I can't die, or the universe ends too, I've been far more settled in myself. I'm still shit-scared of death/terrifed that there is nothing, but I don't seem as preoccupied with it anymore, so that's good. I still can't help laughing everytime someone references the Bible as any "evidence" of God's existance though. --- Also, I was a complete arse when I first joined that site, same with Chairdriver. We've infamously come back and proven ourselves after being banned many times. From being dodoriazarbon and chairdriver to Pashmina and Amora's_Best_Friend! Example of my behaviour; I think I was slipped something in my food at the time.
  13. I've never seen it, and I know I should.
  14. Except a Male version (that looks a bit female to me), and pure white.
  15. Hellboy Thought I'd better rewatch the original in preparation for the new one. I seem to in the minority among my friends; I really like it. It's far from perfect, and the effects even feel a bit dated (it has been 4-5 years, to be fair), but It was handled well, and didn't go too OTT. I think I'd read like one comic of it before I originally saw the film. Plus I love Selma Blair's depressed-sexy look. 7/10
  16. Does it have to be classical? You could be trendy and just have nice poppy, light music. Or even ambient stuff that isn't nice. But then that wouldn't make any sense with a wedding.
  17. ...Congratulations? Dunno if it's a good thing in the long run, you didn't mention. I suppose it's good you told the truth.
  18. Hmm..It might be the time, and the fact I can feel a major headache coming on, but mewithoutYou made me feel a liitle sick. I don't think I'm up for screaming atm!
  19. Whose that by? (Generally helpful to include that, lol )
  20. £9.99 HMV £8.99 Forbidden Planet
  21. Not sure which you're referring to, but The Call was in Narnia: Prince Crapian and Fidelity I think has been used in a few films/trailers. And I like that song, Aimless.
  22. To be honest, The Call is Regina's absolute worst song ever. It just looks lyrics-wise like it was a rushed number she forgot she was paid to do, or at least wasn't inspired be. Also, I'd expect Disney wanted something that was "pretty", rather than using her powerful voice/intelligent writing. I heard it in the film (rubbish, btw), and after being intially excited that it was here, was very dissapointed. I'm listening to 11 : 11 in protest against it's crapness. (That said, the way she sings it is quite sad)
  23. I've actually put down a list of people who I currently think are great. ZOMG Coolness you just reminded me that I left off Laura Marling!
