  1. Every episode is on Youtube. And it beats the 90's censored-to-the-point-of-ridiculousness series any, and every, day of the week.
  2. My sister and I both came back from seeing a movie at the same time, and both said we'd just seen out new favourite films ever. Mine; The Dark Knight, hers; Angus...
  3. I saw Aladin on December 15th 1991, I was 1 and 3 months old. Apparently I watched the whole thing in silence, entranced.
  4. Roughly 50% English, 25% Scottish, 8% Spanish, 8% N.American....the rest is all messed up, I think I have a tiny bit of Indian, according to my Grandma.
  5. I've watched the whole of Series 1, and it was great! Yay @ Kraven and Mysterio!
  6. Well, we only see that one fellow cop look sad, then his prone body. Then his family are informed. So, Gordon was presumably found to just be unconcious after a while/a medic arrived, and then whisked off, after which he woke up. After that, one assumes he made the plan to remain "dead". It's not like he had a funeral or anything, or it was announced publically.
  7. I went to my old church, to start as a helper at the sunday school. I love how open-minded it is, sitting there brought it all back. A gay lead minister/revenerend, whatever they're called, and a female one too (not that controversial anymore). And the fact that the youth worker ,who was kinda cool of many years, mysteriously dissapeared, and the church refuses to tell anyone where he went/is. Feels really unfair, considering we actualy got to know him. I think he might have been a paedo, or something. That would be two paedophiles I actually really liked, before their "outing". Anyway, I'm not religious anymore, so it felt quite pointless sitting there, though I do like the whole ceremony, and singing the hymns (if they're good). I then went to Gamestation with my sister and cousin, and tried Guitar Hero for the first time ( I know, 5 years late), it was great fun. Also found out I can help out on the door during many things during the Edinburgh Festival next month. I then took said relatives to The Dark Knight, which both (being younger) found pretty scary, and didn't understand a lot of it, except my sister (she's really mature for a 12 year old), she loved it. I thought it was even better the second time! Met up with MORE family at the HMV in the shopping centre the cinema was located in, and my mum bought me Batman : Gotham Knights. Al in all, a pretty good day.
  8. Batman : Gotham Knight 6.7/10 An interesting watch, and I like the (what I call) "artistic anime", like Animatrix. (Which is very similar in concept to this DVD)
  9. Lol, I swear I was about to post that. (Though I guess he was only speaking in jest *interesting phrase alert*) ReZ, I was actually thinking, for some reason, mainly about the previous movies when I was talking about his universe. I think he's much more interesting in Begins/Knight than even in the comics! --- I just watched Gotham Knight, the DVD "in-between" of the films. I don't think it serves any purpose being called that, as it isn't really. I liked a lot of the animation, and it introduced you to Maroni (with a strange moustache, not apparent on Eric Roberts in the film) and Ramirez, as well as a brief appearance from Killer Croc and a more "super-villainy"-dressed Scarecrow. Not essential viewing, but interesting if you're a big fan.
  10. High School Musical 2 Good, clean fun. 7.3/10 Sorry, that makes no sense. ----- The Dark Knight Better the second time, or at least it filled in some blanks I missed out on first viewing. Better than 10/10
  11. Exactly. Batman is usually the dullest character in his universe...he's the order to the chaos (in his own way). --- So, I went to see it a second time, and I'm so glad. I think I was so in awe of it before, I missed the details of some plot bits, like for some reason, I didn't equate the tied and gagged group of men to be the entire squadron from the street below upon first watching, I don't know why, even though he said "They took our guns and uniforms". Brain fart I guess. I dunno if it requires two viewings, or if it was just me being hyper the first time I watched it.
  12. And the fact he was already had a secret dark side anyway. So...no, that doesn't count. I actually preferred the city this time around. I'm glad we get the contrast, but the final act of Begins is actually annoying to watch, it's so full of beige smoke and unbelievably cramped city space. And to be fair, did Nolan ever make much of an effort to make the city particularly gothic in it's design? I don't think so personally. I don't really know what to say to that. I mean, every scene he's in furthers the story, it's a Schumacher film with pointless scenes of them cackling with laughter at their plans. And I'm sorry, but the way they handled Two-Face was perfect. He's such a lame villain, formidability-wise, that I'm glad they got him out of the way, but in the best interpretation of Two-Face I've ever seen. With the points I made above, he wasn't just inserted in. Obviously In the real world, he might wait a while before embarking on revenge killings, but it's a Batman film. The sonar thing wasn't stupid, really. A bit random, maybe. It's a film version of any of the countless gadgets Batman emplys in the comics, plus it gave us the first comic accurately cowled Batman on modern screen (with the white eyes). But sorry, this went beyond "the superhero movie" that Batman Begins (though a great film) was still an example of. It was it's own creature, thrilling and free to do whatever the fuck it wanted.
  13. Interesting read SPOILERS for those who want info on bits they didn't understand/future films.
  14. I like Bagely's art. I tend to dislike it more outwith the Ultimate title/s, strangely. ---- Just reread Batman: Thrillkiller tpb. I love it...a swinging sixties take on the mythos, only without the campness and hilarity of the actual 60's show. Highly recommended.
  15. *snap!* That's where the mayor is from! Lost! The bank worker guy at the start has been in a bunch of stuff in minor roles, but I remember him from the ill-fated show Invasion.
  16. How in any way was she Harley Quinn? I knew it was her-off-the-telly when I saw her, but that doesn't mean she gets to be Harley!
  17. World's Finest : The Batman From that site you can link back to info/images from all the other DC cartoons. And yeah, I remember seeing one episode with him in, can't remember what happened though...I just remember thinking he was cool.
  18. HAPPYBIRTHDAYYOULOOKLOVELY
  19. I don't know what the theme of the next film will be. Both films have been about the state of the city. Begins = Fear Knight = Chaos What could the third be about? Hmm. --- I agree that done well, he could work, but the Arkham break-out happened in Begins. ---- Also, I think by only mentioning ("Go stay with your sister!") and showing the top of her head, Nolan is putting a firm foot down to no sidekicks. However, in a way, it felt like they just left her out for no reason at times. It would have been much more poignant to have her the Gordon child focused on rather than the boy. --- Thinking about it more, I do think that the ons that would fit into Nolanverse well are Riddler, Catwoman and maybe Bane and Poison Ivy. I always liked the extreme makeover Riddler got for The Batman. That would look a bit crap, and a bit too close to the effeminate Riddler from Forever, but it's a step in the right direction, IMO.
  20. The Joker has done that throughout his entire comic career, the only origin story that is likely true is the one presented in The Killing Joke. However, it's been stated that he probably doesn't know which of the stories in his head are true and which are false. Much better to present it like that, than give a straight-up origin. That would be shit. And the fact is, the stories were similar, and both lead to the conclusion that he was proabably a mentally unstable child who got the scars either due to self-infliction or at the hand of a loved one. (Like he says)
  21. Lies. Sorry, but it's a lie, and I hate lies. This is in a league so far above Begins it's ridiculous. Begins is amazing too though. The Dark Knight 10/10 Probably my favourite ever film. I have to scale the other Batman films down a notch. I think I gave Batman Returns a 10...it now gets a 9, I think.
  22. No exaggeration, this is my favourite film ever, I think. It's perfect, with my only gripe being not even a real one; That Rachael looked nothing like Katie Holmes, and just looked a lot older than Bruce Wayne is meant to be. However, I do think Maggie was a better choice than using Katie Holmes again, who isn't a very good actress. ----- Thoughts on further film/s. No Robin or Batgirl. However, they could do the Cassie Cain Batgirl like Chair just said. Robin is frankly a shit idea in any form. I think they could do a good Poison Ivy, seeing as her pwers can be stylised very gothic-ly, and would make for an interesting villain. However, they haven't really gone down the "superpowers" route yet. -Catwoman (I think she would tie-in well into the fact that Batman is now basically a wanted man...allows for partnership as well as face-offs, like in the comics) - Poison Ivy (See above) -Mad Hatter (Hard to do...possible) -Penguin (I think he's so lame, that nothing can top Burton's excellent re-imagining) I think the best candidate is probably The Riddler. And including Catwoman too would be awesome. ---- All In all though, I don't know how they can possibly top this one. Why don't you try fighting a massive killer bat, that feeds on animal/human flesh? I forgot to include him in my list above, he could be done, if they're open to "superpowers". Clayface is a no-no.
