  1. Not in my book. And I promise you this; I'm writing a book.
  2. I loved. When words cannot describe how good someone is. Can you actually beat it? I got 3 million and something...
  3. "My only quip"? Literally why I was so sure you got it wrong, because it sounds fundamentally wrong. And no one uses it.
  4. Yeah but I'm better. And to be fair, it was listed as the 4th least obvious meaning of the word, and I doubt anyone would consider it a real use anymore.
  5. My god! I was abouit to post a really sarcastic post quoting from the dictionary as you obviously meant to say quibble, but then when I looked it up, quip actually doubles as another meaning for quibble?! The things you learn.
  6. The breakdown in Can't Not by Alanis Morissette, where it's her combatting the recorded male voice just by herself, her voice rising in passion as the male voice rises in anger. So good.
  7. Rachel Getting Married Been desperate to see this for ages. I'd give it...8.9/10? Maybe a solid 9. An excellent film, very realistic in it's portrayal of the atmosphere, and that no character was a "type". I mean...we feel sympathy and anger to virtually all the main characters. That's an important point. Wonderful camera work, and Anne Hathaway as you've never seen her before (I'd only seen her in Devil Wears Prada, which is hardly stellar). Brilliant and cathartic.
  8. Hmmm...I think the lack of water is possibly due to the building of the Harry Potter land right beside it, then? That must be it.
  9. I adore the soundtrack to BSG (only seen Season 1 though), and the juxtaposition of the tribal/ethnic music with deep space. Bear McCreary all the way...that Foo Fighters song is so...blah. It's just...nothing.
  10. First round of Match 3! Everlong - Foo Fighters All Along The Watchtower - Bear McCreary
  11. Some shit one where you either drin kthe shot you're passed, or it amases into multiple shots, which you have to drink all at once. Kinda like Weakest link, it builds up. Not sure how it's determined how does/doesn't drink the slowly building amount of shots in one go, all I know is that I had to, and ended up wasted completely. And the Never Ever game or whatever. Someone already posted it.
  12. Yeah it's pretty underwhelming tbh... I rank the Florida coasters I've been on as such (best to worst); Kraken (Seaworld) The Mummy (EXCELLENT theming. Brilliantly executed. That's kinda why I get more excited by news of indoor coasters.) Aerosmith in The Rock N' Roller Coaster Thunder Mountain (Obviously tame, but I never get tired of it) Dueling Dragons (Loved the concept and waiting area/huge castle, but it felt a bit anti-climactic in the end, and the area it's on (just a gravelly patch of land) kinda deadens the drama) Hulk Think that's it. Kraken is the best by far though. It's not as...disappointing as the other coasters. It's epic. And humongous.
  13. It's brilliant. I felt it was definitely a big-screen experience...hope you have something of the sort!
  14. Vicky Cristina Barcelona Been wanting to see this for a while. As a whole made me want to go back to Barcelona (despite the fairly romanticised version in this film) and drink lots of wine. It was enjoyable, a little slice of strange summer for these two friends, neither of whom know what they want. I kinda hated the narration, but then it felt funny, emphasising the feeling that this wasn't an epic, more of a small window into a poignant trip. But yeah. Very sensual film. 7.5/10
  15. Ah ok. They basically discourage doing any the of "creative" tasks in the English exams now...I guess because it's easier to completely balls up/not be understood etc.
  16. It's a pretty good collection I found. So are you saying that you didn't study it but still had to do it for the exam?! Shouldn't you have been doing one of the other books in the exam?
  17. I love "rides" in general. I kinda hope that is actually Saw themed (the roller coaster aspect throws me...), rather than just another Roller Coaster they wanted to build, then tacked on the name.
  18. Looks like a single shoe, a bin bag, and some shells/coral...
  19. Not true. Whip-Smart (the album after) is still wonderfully low-fi. Not as good, but not by any means bad. Some great tunes on that. The one after that, whitechocolatespaceegg, is much more produced, and is a bit more wholesome. Decent though. She then infamously released her self-titled album, which is pop. And not particularly good pop. Nothing like the old Liz. I don't have tha album after that. Apparently it's a bit more like her old self, but still fairly rubbish. But I recommend at least Whip-Smart.
  20. Where have you been the last...3 months? I'm actually sick of hearing about it!
  21. He's lovely. Did you by any chance have to do Opening Worlds for GCSE English too? :p
  22. Pretty good results I felt. I haven't seen Slumdog, but that's just me not being too interested. I probs will eventually. I do find TDK winning Sound Editing ridiculous though, being one of the few films that noticeably needed better sound editing last year... Good on Kate Winslet, Heath Ledger etc.
