  1. Is It's Blitz! officially out now? --- Can someone inform me why I keep jizzing myself whenever I put on Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair? Annoyingly the only album of hers not on Spotify. PEOPLE! SEEK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! (It got fucking 9.6 on Pitchfork, and they're pretty harsh, and generally have decent taste)
  2. Haggis isn't a Kills fan long enough to know about their Gainsbourg song, I don't think! I've not actually listened to it yet...now I coveniently can thanks to Spotify! [/advert voice]
  3. Oh yeah! My sister is now in love with Fight Like Apes. I warned her ages ago, but she didn't listen. Now she loves. Why is she well on her way to becoming the 9th member of the Sacred 8? I want to know!
  4. Lots of guys in my year/year below take those protein supplement things. In various forms. So I assume they help.
  5. I added loads, and then mixed them up so, off the top of my head; Some Liz Phair Some Kylie Minogue Mulholland Drive Main Theme Velvet Underground Bjork Tori Amos Sonic Youth Some decent Goldfrapp needs on there. Ride A White Horse is alright. Not their best though. Same with A&E.
  6. Sorry...I forgot about it, then went on holiday. Then forgot about it again. Then couldn't be arsed. Promise to do it tomorow night.
  7. Nor do I. First off, no one could predict someone going insane from something like a loved ones death, hardly (if ever) happens. Secondly, Joker doesn't think that far ahead. (He does think ahead, despite his assuring us he doesn't "plan". Just not to the extent of predicting the psychological breakdown of someone who he has no prior knowledge of mentally)
  8. It's the worst on a solid album, which isn't too bad, but I agree it's a bit lame. Considering The Driveway could actually gain her some serious recognition as an artist. --- I'm working my way through Siouxsie & The Banshees discography. The Scream is every bit as amazing as it's hyped up to be. Join Hands is a bit harder to grasp... Don't ask me why, but I was trawling through posts I originally made here, and this one is pretty cool, considering I became a humongous fan of hers about a month later.
  9. I watched. It's one of those things where you can't decide if it's bad, good or just meh. Obviously will be worse than the original...looks kinda like a bad episode of Ghost Whisperer or something.
  10. Thanks for that, Ashley, changed the url in mine now. Does mine work?
  11. I hate trailers that literally show the entire story to you. That looks odd, but decent. I'm not sure what the aim is, but it looks quite gentle and pleasant. Not really a fan of Adam Sandler, so that's a big deal. Who's the woman?
  12. How does one link to a playlist on Spotify? I've made "Paj's Present Picks". Featuring Joni Mitchell, Brian Eno, The Doors, Shakira, Destiny's Child, Tricky etc.
  13. Although I disliked the inclusion of Don't Speak over other (better) No Doubt songs that aren't overplayed to death. It's My Life is immense though. :bouncy: I bow to the only Snow Patrol song I consider really good, and the fact you added it. Have you heard any of Kylie Minogue's album, Impossible Princess? Sounds shite, but it's her most experimental one, with a lot of interesting songs on it.
  14. He has ginger hair and glasses...?
  15. To be fair, Pokemon is very different to other RPGs. OR I've always felt that way anyway. I never really felt it was an "RPG". (Though by definition it is)
  16. I just added Chopsticks and Whip-Smart by the legendary Liz Phair onto it...although they're both from Whip-Smart, because Spotify criminally don't have the indie icon that is her first album, Exile In Guyville.
  17. I always liked that song. Her drawl, or whatever the word is. Some of the songs on her first album are decent too. My mum got it when we were in Florida and she decided we needed to become rednecks.
  18. Music > Sex. Most realistic people would say that, I expect. Any who don't probs have something wrong with them.
  19. Yeah that's the only confusing one for me after enough watchings. But then it doesn't affect the story or anything, so it's ok.
  20. It's fine, as a film. That's why I gave it a 6. It was enjoyable on the whole, but I see nothing classic in it, or at least nothing that still resonates today. And the 2 main characters annoyed me immensely, which is sure to tarnish any film.
  21. So..I've been listening (via Spotify) to many recommendations of my Dad. He and I share a link in our music tastes, so more often than not, our recommendations to other are received well! Today I've listened to; AMBIENT 1: Music For Airports - Brian Eno After a first listen, I think it's great. I know that it would have been a bit more "Ooh!" at the time of release, when electronic/ambient music wasn't as known. Very moving though, and it's "background music" with substance...it's sparse, not trying to be "pleasant" or "pretty". Or I get that impression. Marianne Faithfull - Broken English Absolutely fantastic. I only knew Ballad Of Lucy Jordan and her work with Patrick Wolf before this, but she truly adds gravitas and history to these songs, some being well known by other artists, like Working Class Hero. Her version adds more to the song than Lennon's imo. But yeah, gritty and grimey, yet beautiful. Also a brilliant album cover.
  22. I dunno, the fact the screens and previous trailers haven't shown a deluge of them lead me to believe they might not play a big role. (They still might not?) I just don't know the newer characters like Blaze and Silver, so don't feel empathy toward them.
  23. What? The Rise...From Mars by Bowie is amazing. I have Hunky Dory also, but haven't yet listened to it.
