  1. I don't even understand what these discussions are. As far as I can see it's established that; 1) Rok probably had a tough life/time, if even only mentally, being what he is, growing up, but never exposing it or whatever. This most likely made him a bitter/angry individual, leading to his peculiar turn into a horrible poster before he got banned. 2) Everyone understands that, and no one is saying it's an excuse for his behaviour. ...? I don't get what the discussion is about/where it's leading. --- Anyway. Went to a friends house for a Burns night gathering/dinner. I hate haggis, so the dinner for me was mashed potato and wee willie winkies (YES *orgasms*). General chat etc. Fun times in general. Came home, intended do another page/drawing in sketchbook, but instead I just painted it black and will do a chalk drawing tomorrow morning before college.
  2. ^ Riders On The Storm seems to be good for mash-ups, on Blondie's Greatest Hits, they included a mash-up of that and their song Rapture. I think it works better than the Bat For Lashes one tbh, but yeah. -- Janet Jackson is brilliant background music. She has some stompers too (which while few and far between -intentionally- are generally good), but her voice is really soothing. I like this song, the beat is very like kinda dancy songs that in my head I call "directional", like they're constantly going foward. Or something. I just like how her voice is so quiet, and how she's not quite singing properly. Like it might hurt. Videos kinda cool too. Though she does look a bit like her late brother these days.
  3. It's not. I can't search or join that forum that *tells you where to buy the comics*, and I really cannot be fannied to search it all out by date, trawling through thousands of pages, to find out it's rapidshare. Etc. Basically I need a bulk lot or gtfo.
  4. To be fair, her albums up until her last one were patchy, or at least, the album tracks were nondescript and kinda uninteresting. I did like Signs off the first album, an ode to the Zodiac. :p I'm also rather immune to Crazy In Love. I like it/enjoy it for what it is, but I don't see it as overly amazing.
  5. This is so fucking lol btw. Chair has/had doubles of him so yeah, ask him if he still does. But it's LOL because, at out very first tourney, everyone else knew each other, so the three of us newbs were like "Let's make friends", and we sent chair over and he was like "Hey, anyone wanna trade for Lex Luthor?", and the group just looked up, were silent, and said "No.", and chair just shuffled back in defeat.

It was lol at the time.

  6. Can you bring Violet up with you during the holidays? I want to meet her.
  7. I'd be really interested in reviewing films (or Wii games, only have a Wii of the current gen), cause it's one of things I'm most interested in, I'm going off to do film production potentially this year etc. I don't have blogs like Dazz and Daft, though... Closest thing I can think of is my answers to questions an Art college sent me regarding my film application. :p But yeah, I enjoy writing, and have a good grasp of...english..writing...and shit.
  8. Tbf, Maths is the antithesis of all I believe in, so I can't really judge.
  9. Suede and Lust were the two I loved most and first when I got that album. Suede is still the best on the album for me. Also, have you heard Rocket, the first single from Head First? I have a feeling you'll like it. People are going on about "80's influenced!" all the time, but never actually sound like it...Rocket does. :p It's...a grower (for me).
  10. Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends My new favourite thing. I just love Firestar and Iceman, and how for all the ingenuity of their secret-base-within-aunt-may's-living-room, if May looked out the window, she'd still see them leaving her garden in superhero outfits... I love how shit the voices are too. The guy how plays Iceman (famous, I recognise his voice in loads of other things...maybe the Batman cartoon?) plays a million other people, all in almsot the exact same voice. Also Wolverine is randomly australian.
  11. Sandcastle Disco is one of the best songs. I also love This Bird too, maybe just cause of the Boards of Canada sample.
  12. Started the work In my sketchbook I was meant to do, "3 double-pages of drawing from life". But it's so what I'm not in the mood for, so I kinda jus experimented in different materials, and eventually just drew from photos cause a) my bathroom (where I'm doing most of my drawings) is really hot and b) i'm looking at relationships between humans and the space around them, so I need a person (me) in them in some form. This morning I just felt really...eurgh. Dunno. Kinda down, thinking about stuff, but not overly. Headache, had really heavy breathing and was generally shivery. Then I had a bath (since I'm looking into baths for my project I'm indulging in them myself for the first time in ages) and felt a bit better. Just...not been into what I've drawn at all really.
  13. ^ Stunning. A lovely concept.
  14. Hmm. Well I recognise none of this dinosuar or bug stuff, but I'm probably on the younger scale of members here.
  15. It wouldn't be hard, it's about a male perspective of a woman having a baby and dying(or in the video to the song, more vaguely generally dying/in hospital) Unless you meant musically.
  16. Sec Sig: 7/10 Could do with a border or something, but nice. Av: Um...not a fan. If it was transparent instead of white, maybe. 4/10 Coolness Av 8/10 Sig 5/10 Ellie Goulding, why are you so squished?
  17. Yeah, it just seems really rude, considering he'd been overly forgiving of her insanity. (and was trying to fight Raven in close at the time)
  18. I liked this. The only thing I can think of in response is We are creaturs of the wind Wild is the wind Which is from a Nina Simone song, but the lyrics always kinda left me with a similar feeling to what you just said, about collision/reaction/no control etc. I just didnt know how one'd express it well. [/random]
  19. I'm completely lost as to what Moogle's point/argument is. I've reread it several times but I stil have no idea. Are you saying that someone is either male or female and nothing else or the opposite?
  20. Did nothing, drove for a bit, then arranged for peeps to all congregate at a friends house for a gathering. Said gathering was fun, but then internal thoughts of conflicting complexities arose. I left around 2, as I'd rather sleep at home than at his house, which is only a 15 min walk from mine. Plus it gave me more chance to jizz into my earbuds, I got for xmas, and which I expected nothing from. But the bass is so essential. I think I'm in love with my earbuds, for they never let me down. They give songs new leases on life, they're that good. Finished Antichrist, and I'm sortof shaking for some reason. It might just be cold, but yeah. LOADS OF WORK TOMORROW joy.
