What things do other people do that annoys you
The3rdChildren replied to Whizkid's topic in General Chit Chat
Don't forget the rape, fried chicken and watermelon. All part of a heathy black diet. -
Yeah, that's right.
-
Yeah, the PS2 doesn't have a lot of multiplayer games and even then it's restricted by the two controller ports. Unrelated, but your signature quote is awesome.

I get that too, it's pretty awesome. Works good if you yell out a swear word in unison with the twitch. Tourettes for FUCK the WANK win.

24 Official Thread *Season 7 Trailer Inside!*
The3rdChildren replied to Tellyn's topic in General Chit Chat
But the US shows 24 on Mondays, and Sky on Sundays. That would put UK ahead of the US by one day, right? --- Hero of Time, did you reprimand your mate for trashing your 24 boxes yet? -
Yeah, Sega can't do much worse (statistically - I quite enjoyed it) than Sonic the Hedgehog.
-
If you want multiplayer, you should consider also investing in a GameCube - it's dirt cheap now (about £20?). GameCube offers far better multiplayer games as well. Sorry I can't help on the PS2 front.

Wii: Not As Quiet As Iwata Promised?
The3rdChildren replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's still quieter than the 360, which sounds like a fucking plane engine. -
Moreso, why didn't Ganondorf just destroy the Temple of Time and therefore stop Link going back and forwards in time? SUDDENLY NOT SO PERFECT. To be honest, Ganondorf didn't do anything. He fashioned another super cool castle for himself, did some monster stuff and that's about it. Most of the darkness in the world probably came about on it's own, plus the Castle Town was more decayed and ruined than destroyed. Oh, and of course Ganondorf was looking for Princess Zelda all those years. But aside that, not a lot. People expected Hyrule to reach the darkness of Ocarina's Adult segment during the week at most Ganondorf was back out of the Twilight? Kinda unrealistic really.

The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess

Yeah, I'm gonna. I've gotten pretty far in it a few times and always given up. Virtual Console Link to the Past will be mine. -
The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess
The3rdChildren replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
No, he wouldn't. I'm a bit foggy on the Ocarina stuff, but did Ganondorf literally walk into the Sacred Realm and grab himself a big slice of Triforce cake? I guess he was destined to receive it regardless and in essence was blessed with it at the very moment he needed it the most... as he was dying. I mean, Link was blessed with the Triforce of Courage without actually taking it from anywhere, so I suppose it's possible Ganondorf was simply blessed with it too. Especially if destiny is as prevailent as it seems to be throughout the Zelda stories. My guess about Link in Majora is that he was sent back to the time prior to when the Triforce awakened inside him/he was blessed with it so he wouldn't have had ever obtained it with there being no real evil in Hyrule to defeat etc. He was probably dead long before Twilight Princess and the Link in that is probably his ancestor. Those games are difficult to find a timeline for. I'm too dumb to place it all together, nor have I actually played those games, so I just focus on the Ocarina one. Afterall, Ocarina is basically a clean slate beginning... so Nintendo probably just started to tie the games post-Ocarina together more obviously from there. Not in any coherent way though, as messageboard debates will show. In fact, it's even possble to place the game between Ocarina's ending and Wind Waker. Perhaps Ganondorf is there in the Mirror Chamber having been released from being sealed away to be executed. But why would they bring him out, and why don't the Sages have a clue he holds the Triforce of Power as evident by their "WTF, DIVINE PRANK!" surprise? As such divine beings, you'd think someone would have had the decency to tell them "Watch out for that Ganonorf. Triforce of Power and all - dangerous fellow." -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't that put the UK AHEAD of the US? -
If it's not looking good now, SEGA are not going to fix it - they never do. Awesome.

The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess
The3rdChildren replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The game takes place in the timeline after Link is returned to being a child, the one with Majoras Mask in it. Wind Waker has nothing to do with Twilight Princess for this game's placement to make any sense. Link, having been returned to a child, confonted the king with Princess Zelda and convinced him of Ganondorf's evil intentions. He was then confronted by the sages who attempted to kill him, but failed because his Triforce of Power prevented him dying from impalement on their divine blade. It also gave him the power to break free and even kill one of them. With a last ditch effort, the sages banished Ganonorf to the Twilight, where after some time (probably 100s of years) spent searching he located Zant, whom he used as his puppet to engineer a return to Hyrule so he could once again attempt to establish dominance over the Kingdom/Sacred Realm. Lastly I think the presence of a mischievious Skull Kid in the Lost Woods is kind of a hint towards where this game takes place. This means Nintendo have given conclusions to both Ocarina of Time timelines. The Adult timeline has been ended with Wind Waker... or will be contined in Phantom Hourglass and the Child timeline has been concluded with Majoras Mask/Twilight Princess. Nintendo can now start a new timeline to base sequels off of, which may in fact be what they meant by their comment about the series changing. Perhaps we'll see a different formula from now on, totally different to the Ocarina timeline games. --- I don't agree the ending was empty. There was a lot of payoff, for example: -
This game looks like it could be the first genuinely enjoyable 3D Sonic game... since all others have rated poorly. I've personally not had much of a problem with them, but it'd be nice for Sonic to return to form Solitanze-style, with decent reviews all 'round.

Do you have your Xbox and Xbox 360 set to 60hz framerate? There's a big speed difference between 50 and 60hz in Halo 2 in my opinion. Could be that.

I usually get annoyed at myself every time I open my mouth. In fact I usually reprimand myself for doing anything at all.

That's one of my pet peeves, when stuff gets returned from a lend in shitty condition. I actually kind of want to rebuy seasons 1-3 so I have the new style non-gatefold boxes but I'll probably just wait for the HD/Blu-Ray boxed sets. -

The advert for the 24 DVDs is absolutely spoileriffic. Couldn't believe some of the shocking crap they shoved into it. -
The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess

The music and blending of the main theme into a lot of the game's more emotional music is absolutely brilliant. The gamerip track "Calm and Hope" representing this especially well. I really enjoy the game's soundtrack. Lots of fanservice. -
For some reason, the picture posted of her made me think of Thundercats. I reckon she'll pull it off, although they should just get Dennis Haysbert to be president.

Apparently out this year, although there's been a real lack of information and trailers all round. From that off-screen YouTube video someone uploaded it looks like it's going to be beautiful though. Retelling of the story as well, which is awesome.

Yeah, you have a point. That game has seriously spawned a Halo-sized fanbase. Not to say it doesn't deserve it - it's a very fine game.
-
Never seen the original. I watched a little bit and didn't feel anything. Maybe I'll watch it someday, but probably not. It's still every bit enjoyable as before. The original manga is a great telling of the Akira story - and huge too, with each of the 6 volumes matching a phonebook in size. I mean to keep on buying those actually, but they're just so expensive. [edit] Wait a second. When did Naruto start putting bits of the episode before the intro? That's really cool.
