  1. Holy cow. With all of this hearsay, I don't know what to believe anymore. But don't do that. Don't give me hope! Do give me the game, though. Please make it a real survival horror game, Konami, and NOT this uninteresting, by the numbers, action style drivel that Capcom typically focuses on nowadays. Uh!
  2. Last year, I discovered there was a funny glitch where I came across the opening to a cave. But it had been sealed up, so I could not go into it. So I was caved in, eh?
  3. When I bought this game in April of 2019, I was surprised at how engaging the story is, and the game for me at least, took around 2 weeks to finish. Sure, it has glitches. They did improve that issue with the patches. But I never really see a lot of people online praising this game in general. I will say that it's repetitive to a big degree and rather frustrating as well. To this day, I still cannot defeat an entire horde, save for one you're forced to take on in a dark cave. But I did really enjoy the graphics, the motorcycle, and the characters. Quite frankly, I don't get why the game receives so much hate. It's like The Last of Us... but on the wide open roads. And I personally didn't notice that BIG of a difference between both games. The best part is when you go in enemy camps and trying to take out every scumbag quietly!
  4. Nobody's a fan.
  5. Feast your eyes on this! This is the next CGI movie in the long running CGI movie side series, based on Resident Evil. It will be the fourth movie in total (excluding the 90's animated film that only came out in Japan). As with the other CGI movies, I reckon this will be in the same continuity as the Resident Evil video games, and it's coming in 2021, courtesy of Capcom and Netflix. Well, probably just in time for Resident Evil: Village, then. As far as I know, this does NOT have anything to do with the recently confirmed Netflix series, which is actually going to be a live action saga. Nor do I know if this will be a direct sequel to the events of Resident Evil: Vendetta. Either way though, the trailer looks nothing short of awesome.
  6. You're lucky that Game even had any left. Oh, and come on, Konami. Please can you show off anything about Silent Hill this weekend? I'd be so grateful. https://www.newsweek.com/tokyo-game-show-2020-schedule-livestream-online-panels-english-1533896#slideshow/1641272
  7. How are you guys watching Tokyo Game Show? On YouTube, I cannot seem to easily find any links about any coverage. It's not like the Sony events which were easy to watch. I am trying to save up for the Xbox Series S, but due to a lack of money and all, I keep having to spend my savings. Thus far, I had a few hundred put away that I blew on other things.
  8. So, Sony fans... it looks like the Xbox Series S (and X, for that matter) is beating the PlayStation 5 on value. Oh... no, no, no.
  9. I just want to know the cost. LOL. If I have to start putting money away for the PS5 again, I need to be committed to not dipping into my savings anymore. Tokyo Game Show begins on 23 September.
  10. Good God! Gamescom unfortunately didn't deliver today. However, this is only day one. It's going to be continued until Sunday, so hopefully we will see an improvement tomorrow. I hope.
  11. A part three may happen eventually.
  12. I kind of like that cumbersome feeling, though. You're not well equipped to begin with, which adds to the dread and realism. As the levels get harder, you acquire better s*** to combat said hard levels. I think in the RE games, you can have your gear carry over into the new game, but in general, it makes some of the otherwise challenging parts become nothing but a simplistic cakewalk...
  13. I definitely have to get a PS5, in case they make a third part. I'd also like to see a sequel to Days Gone. These last several PS4 games made me so excited to be a gamer again, after I started to lose interest in survival horror games.
  14. The remake of RE2 and especially 3, made for an underwhelming experience. Fans wanted a remake in the same style as the 2002 game. Not with having a totally changed up, cheesy ass story, where the zombies serve as bullet sponges. While the RE2 remake isn't quite as awful as the RE3 remake, it's by no means a masterpiece. RE3 in particular, has very linear gameplay. Nemesis only comes after you during lame scripted segments. They used the exact same looking car Ethan Winters rams Jack Baker with in the garage in RE7 for when Jill does it to Nemesis near the beginning. How lazy. The voice acting isn't bad though, but the game cut out so many enemies, locations, and more, for the most part. Most of the original sections like the clock tower and the gas station are in it, only to serve as backdrops. Oh, and Carlos doesn't give Jill the vaccine either. Jill does that herself. Also, the final section wasn't set in that factory either, where you had to destroy Nemesis with a large laser thing. You have to use this crappy looking gun and I swear, Jill says something really stupid in that scene. She does say her iconic line at some point nonetheless. Not that it sounds all that impressive. The final section of the game is based in a lab, like the one in the RE2 remake, referred to as 'NEST' or something. They have zombies with no hair, which were also in RE2, I think. I'm not sure. But overall, RE3 (2020) sucks because they just left out so much content to rush it out! In the original, enemies of different varieties could still attack you together, but in this game, they didn't do that. Not to mention, they got the ending wrong. While the original had multiple endings, the real ending is Barry saving Jill and Carlos. That doesn't happen in this game at all, because there's just that one, almost emotionless ending where you catch a glimpse of the city blowing up. Nothing with an impact like in the original, and that's sad considering a game from 1999 is better than a game from 2020. So they didn't even pay any attention to the canonical aspects of the franchise, and the game was outsourced. RE8 is apparently still coming to the PS4, despite what Capcom said. It doesn't look great enough to be a PS5 title anyway. In fact, WhatCulture Gaming uploaded a video about that on their channel yesterday, I think it was. Also, did you know that Konami makes personal computers now? Just what is going on with Capcom and Konami?!
  15. 2 weeks later... No survival horror skills in y'all.
  16. Is this site generic in its execution?

Hey man, apologies for being a bit harsh on you in the Last of Us thread. I appreciate it can be difficult to communicate and understand people's intentions if you have learning difficulties like Asperger's - had I known I wouldn't have posted those things in that way.

I encourage you not to get so frustrated by the lack of forum activity. This forum, like many others, has seen a substantial drop off over the past five years, and that's because there are so many different websites for people to discuss games on now. Reddit and the bigger forums you've mentioned are toxic, as can be seen by the replies you received on that Reddit post. Due to the size of those websites, and their lack of sensible moderators, it can be difficult to maintain an online conversation with other users. That then leads people to write nasty or controversial posts just to get attention.

N-Europe is old, and so are most of its members, so I appreciate it can be difficult for new people to join in and understand the dynamics. All I can suggest is that you be yourself, and be a bit more patient. Don't take things too personally if people don't reply to you - it happens to everyone. And try to use language you're comfortable with. On this post for example you asked if this site is 'generic in its execution', which seems more complicated than it needs to be. Simplify things a bit, be honest, and hopefully you'll have a better experience.

That's cool, man. I appreciate the apology. Personal life issues have just been getting to me, so I've not been feeling 100% in a while. :)

  17. OK... "Robert". 🎮
  18. OK, I keep hearing that the Xbox Series X is more powerful than the PS5 is, but I think most of the games I'm going to be interested in will probably end up being PS5 exclusives. So it looks like I'll have to get a PS5 for any future The Last of Us games, and also potentially for the Silent Hill reboot, which Dusk Golem claims is 100% happening. In fact, it could even make an appearance at Tokyo Game Show. Although for obvious reasons, that's going to be an online only event in September. I'm sure it's taken place around the 27th. Hopefully it's not gonna be like the recent Sony events where they showed off utter garbage. Years ago, I skipped the PS3 for the Xbox 360, but after my console went busted, I got a PS3. I seldom ever played games for a long time. In recent years, I remembered what I was missing. For a while, I wasn't interested in gaming much because I just had too much stress and personal shite going on. But I have played my PS3 a bit since, although I mostly play the PS4 today.
  19. Can someone reply to this post?
  20. A few weeks ago, the original (and best) Ghostbusters film was #1 at the U.S. box office again!
  21. "Gimpy", stop making multiple accounts with girly names, minutes after looking at somebody's posts elsewhere! :indeed:

  22. This game is about 25 to 30 hours long. Days Gone is still way longer. It took me 2 weeks to play through that. They both deserve Game of the Year awards, so make it happen, Naughty Dog!
  23. You act like my posts offend you in some way.
  24. I don't know why that needs its own game anyway. The first game had that as an extra mode. I also thought the second game was meant to have co-op from the start, which was what I was alluding to.
