  1. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! The HORROR!!!!!
  2. Well, the date is Halloween, which ties in with the "scary" ghost theme of Luigi's Mansion. The font seems familiar, very much like the Sabre Wulf font on the Rare/Ultimate Play The Game games. Does it seem likely? Not really, but maybe it's going to be the first game revealed, demonstrating how the controller will be used in a relatively simple game.
  3. European voltages run in the 230-250V range, so yes, they do need more substantial plugs to handle the greater power being fed through it.
  4. Gah, they always update right at the end of the work day, when the last website I'll be checking is NoE! I've been thinking about getting an extra controller, too!!!
  5. Seems that things might not be quite so easy for the competition... http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=540 http://biz.gamedaily.com/features.asp?article_id=10872 http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=544
  6. As I recall, blatant advertising is not allowed, though links in signatures are.
  7. I think you'll find he was meaning independant developers, not publishers independant of Nintendo. The idea is that small development teams with innovative ideas could make their games downloadable on Nintendo's network, without the expense of normal publishing deals, either free to create a reputation or at a small cost to the downloader.
  8. OK, so how many legitimate developers do we have on this forum? The only one I was aware of was Schpickles, but seems we've got a few others showing their hand.
  9. OK, before any admin tries to go shifting this into the "Other Console" folders, don't. This is just something that potentially highlights the decision, by Nintendo, to produce a cheaper system to develop for. http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/9503/Developers-Migrating-from-PS3-to-Xbox-360-Development/ OK, so this editorial talks about the cost pushing developers onto the Xbox360, but then they are an Xbox site so that is the angle they will write from. However, their reasoning means that the same situation applies even more to the Revolution, even more so again when you factor in the anti-Western feeling of a lot of Japanese companies. It is just more evidence that not only will the PS3 burn a sodding great huge hole in consumers pockets, it's going to empty developer's pockets too. All we need now is for Nintendo to realise they need to make their revenue by more sales with small license fees, not get the most they can out of each copy sold.
  10. Just remember that the "Samus", in that ad, really was a woman in a suit running around a film-set.
  11. Nintendo have said Zelda:TP will NOT be released before the end of the current fiscal year, which is 31st March 2006. That means that April will be the very earliest that the game comes out, so as it stands we do not know when the game will be released in any reliable fashion.
  12. Ahhhhh, I remember the days with my trusty rubber keyboarded ZX Spectrum, buying Codemaster games for under £5 and enjoying the brilliant little games that Mastertronic sold for £1.99. Top of the range games went for about £10 with the really special ones, usually with loads of stuff thrown in, would be about £15.
  13. http://cube.ign.com/mail - 14th Oct 2005 Well, the guy asking was a tad rude and demanding, to say the least, but I think Matt showed him where he was going wrong. Guessing Matt's response might not have been the glowing endorsement that some of you would like to have seen, but I felt he was being realistic; the Xbox360 has got the immediacy of being here within the next month or so, meanwhile we have yet to see anything that's being run on the Revolution.
  14. But what is this "Nin-Rev blog"? Are they someone who can be trusted? There's no hard evidence to consider any site truly trustworthy at present, so to take one site's word over another is not exactly a logical position to take.

  16. Because there's a strong likelihood you're not as good as this guy! Ikaruga Madness!
  17. If the rumour is based purely on that image, then fake. You can see where the colour around the text has been smoothed into an even tone, rather than been shiny and reflective.
  18. IGN had an article about a Pokemon MMORPG a while ago: http://cube.ign.com/articles/544/544508p1.html
  19. Not quite correct, Nintendo have said they have no current plans to support HDTV output, but they're no longer being quite so definite when asked about it. File it under "Undecided".
  20. That definitely comes under the category of "extrapolation" rather than "rumour", though. C&VG are simply looking at the suggestion of one game's direction and using it to predict the possibility of another game's direction. Now if there was the old, "OMGZ!!!1111 Sum1 @ Nintendo told me Zelda's gone FPS!!!!!!11111 ONE ONE", then it would most certainly be a rumour.
  21. You'll most likely find that the "attachment" is simply a remote control that activates the DVD playback capacity in the Revolution.
  22. And there was I thinking that this comic was just kidding!
  23. Teensy bit late with the suggestion, I'm afraid: http://www.revo-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=904&postcount=6
  24. No, knowing him means I know where he's most likely coming from, with his editorial. If you had read the posts in that thread you could have possibly understood that, then made a more sensible comment, rather than just stepping up to the mark and making a lot of personal insults. The simple fact of the matter is, if you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything; a lot of people seem to have forgotten that little maxim, when it comes the internet, you would do well to take it on board. Also, if you'd bothered to read the rest of my post, beyond the very ironic insult I made, you would have seen that there was something worth your while reading. You have shown an incapacity to read what has been posted before loosing your opinion, or rather lack of one, in every post relating to this matter, so far.
  25. Such an astute observation by someone, completely ignoring the fact that it's the first of a two part editorial which seems to have been deliberately writen to provoke debate, on whether Nintendo have made the right move. How about using your apparently very small brain to write something constructive in response to it, instead? Yes, I am throwing around an insult, but, if you read what I've written in the official thread for the editorial, you will see that I did at least engage my brain before putting fingers to keyboard.
