Unless this is a recent update, then this has already been discussed months ago.

Err, those are electric motors, not gyroscopes. Here's a more feasible solution, each controller is supplied with two battery packs which can be connected directly to a mains adaptor, there will also be an opening in the controller case which means you can plug into the battery pack housed in the controller. This means you can have a spare battery on charge, to be swapped in when needed, and you can charge the one in the controller when it's not in use.

Sounds suspiciously like someone heard about that EyeToy hover-board game where you wear two different coloured gloves, then made the leap of logic that it could do something similar to the Revolution controller. Problem is, it can't, because it can't perceive depth.

Too much what, though? Too much for Nintendo to get to market in sufficient numbers? Too much of a choice for consumers? It helps to be a bit more specific, sometimes.

Zelda delayed to Autumn and Rev confirmed for 2006
YenRug replied to penic99's topic in Nintendo Gaming
NoE have stated that imported copies of Metroid Prime: Hunters will not work on WiFi in Europe, apparently they're having to work out some licensing difficulties regarding the voice chat function which is the cause of the delay. Simple fact is, if you want to play MPH online in Europe, you have to buy it here. -
Wasn't there a baseball swing as one of the game ideas, in that Nintendo promo video?

No-one wondering why he didn't slam the PS3, too? That doesn't have a planned HDD built in, according to the latest Sony documentation, it will be an add-on. Also, the PS3 has no on-board storage built in, so the Revolution is actually superior to it, in that respect. No, the guy from Koei is just bitching, probably looking for money to start coming his way from Sony.

Guys, check the reported demos tried out behind the scenes at the Tokyo Game Show, one of them sounded suspiciously like KuruKuruKururin.

I might have to get my Pangya character buffed up a bit, see if it is transferable. The good thing, it's designed to be played online and is free to play, you only pay if you want specific extra items and are unwilling to spend the time building up points to spend, instead.

That's the way you're meant to "play" the Brain Training games.

Metroid Prime 2 wasn't demoed with the Rev controller at E3, it was at special demonstrations before TGS and in a few press briefings since. No footage of it being played has been made available, so far.

I see someone's already copied over my idea from the other thread. The idea behind my concept is one that most of you are missing, it's trying to engage those people who are not necessarily gamers. Remember, Nintendo are trying to pick up the non-gaming audience as much as anything, with their new system, whilst most of you are aiming at the existing gaming audience and are trying to persuade them why they should try the Revolution.

You could make it upgradeable, so it can cut through progressively tougher materials, another way of doing the stage unlocking that is traditionally done by obtaining different beam weapons.

Nintendo News | Microsoft Manager Knocks Revolution Online

Thanks for the pointer, I now have my very first ignored poster. -
I think they need to start showing ads, now, similar to the ones when the DS first came out. As an idea: A middle aged father is seen looking in on his kids, making sure they're in bed, closes the bedroom door. Next he walks into the living room and picks up what he thinks is the TV remote and points it towards the TV, pressing the power button. The TV starts up as the console starts sending its signal (you won't see it at this point), the Nintendo logo comes up first on the TV (no need to reveal the name of the system at this point). The father lifts the controller in front of his face, twisting it to the side at the same time, puzzled by what he's picked up. Beyond him you see the TV set lift up into the air, up over his head, spinning in direct relation to the movement of the controller. Noticing a blue glow, the father leans forward to look at the Revolution console, putting his hand out to the side and resting it on the arm of his chair. In response the TV zips across the room and smashes out through the window.

Do we have an ignore option on here? If not, can we get one added? -
Yep, it was on the MegaDrive, I never had one but I was working shifts this one time and at night it was just a case of keeping an eye on things. Someone brought their MD in during the day and they let me have a go on it as they were going out for a few nights on the trot. I did try it on an emulator, quite some time ago, but it wasn't quite the same trying to play it on a PC, so I'd welcome the chance to get my hands on it once more.

I think somebody needs to stop bumping old threads, Fierce_Link already closed the first three threads you bumped and warned you needed to stop doing it. Also, Cubeboy, you might just want to start with the spelling, punctuation and grammar on here, seeing as you claimed you were capable of it on the Cube Advanced comments. You're not likely to be taken seriously, if you just come in with the crap you used there. By the way, did you get banned on there? I noticed a recent comment of yours no longer had your ID on it.

I'd love to be able to play "Shining In The Darkness" another time, never quite managed to finish that game.

Nintendo is the videogaming equivalent of Shrek; looks like a kids cartoon, has slapstick that the kids love, but the dialogue is appreciated by those mature enough to perceive it. Now, if we could just get as many people who watched Shrek to play Nintendo games and systems...
-
You'd probably have to "register" each controller with the relevant Revolution system, they would then encode their signals so only that machine can communicate with that controller, even though they are on the same channels as another controller on another system.
-
I believe you will find that's incorrect, Nintendo sold their Rare shares back to the Stamper brothers for $350m, Rare was then sold as a whole to M$. Purely a political manuevre so that Nintendo did not have to become involved in the sale to M$.
-
At present, the Revolution is reported as only supporting 4 controllers at any one time; if a game required the player to use two simultaneously, you could only have two people playing on the one Revolution system at a time.

It's a demonstration of tech that they were working on, for the Gizmondo handheld. The system basically has a camera mounted in the back and they give you that plastic square that you can put pretty much anywhere; the system is able to identify the square and then orientate 3D objects over the images, with any movement of the camera reflected in the movement of the 3D objects. It's kind of a progression of those camera games that you can get on mobile phones, where it's able to work out camera movement and give you enemies to shoot by aiming the phone.
