Completed this today. Enjoyed it, but it was a bit short! A couple more areas to explore after all the abilities had been gathered (maybe 3 that you could go to in any order?) would have added the extra few hours it needed. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will probably go back to it for the challenge area and to grab anything major I missed.

Aaaahh. A very good character to bring in! Robin is a rubbish name for them though :P Also, that was Ike at the end of the video - has he been shown before now and I just missed it, or was that confirmation that he's back too?

I missed the video and can't find it anywhere online yet. Who the hell is Robin? I've played FE on 3DS but don't remember that name.

Just finished the Science and Rock clubs. Pushed through Science with more or less the same Fire deck as I was using before, since half of the poison types are weak to Fire. Didn't have too much issue. Then switched to Grass type purely because that was the type I had the most energy for and moved onto Rock. Enjoyed the grass stuff alot - managed to get a Nidoking and a Butterfree out together in one fight, then had a Venasaur more or less immediately in the leader fight and walked through it without incident. I kinda wish at times that the matches were a bit longer ; getting a level 2 out and powered up is very satisfying but its not all that often that you need to get that far in order to win. Even the 6 prize matches aren't that lengthy, usually; think I'd prefer some other method of scoring, though the only thing that comes to mind is some kind of life points which a) doesnt make sense in Pokemon universe and b) is just a YuGiOh ripoff because thats the only other card game I've played much.

Is Xenoblade a Wii game? I might need to look into it also. Some battles in the game are hilarious; I took 3 attempts to get any basic Pokemon in my starting hand, then finally got a single Ratata. Opponent started with a Zubat, he had nothing else either and I made it through the confusion coin toss and won the whole thing in < 20 seconds...

If you can get a Magmar out you'll OHKO most of the L1 stuff any of the Grass Clubbers are putting out. Stick in a few trainer cards for additional draws or deck searches and you'll be grand. Just quoting this again incase anybody misses it and hasn't done it already...it makes things actually bearable!

Man I miss Rare so much. When I become a billionaire I am hiring back all the old staff and getting this and BK3 finally made.

I jumped the gun a little and bought it just now, took the Fire starter deck and did the Grass club. Sorry... I'm just rebattling the Grass club folks for booster packs now, til we work out whats happening.

I realise this was probably discussed already, but do people consider the Pro Controller worth buying? What context are they useful for? Sorry, I only just got my Wii U and totally missed all the chat before.

I three got it in the MK8 promo and completed it today. Loved it. I had the original but didnt ever really get into it properly, for reasons unknown - I think the spectre of the time limit put me off somehow. But this one was great. Gonna keep going and grab the fruit I missed on early levels and do the "Missions" and whatnot now. I've barely put any time in to Mario Kart because of how great this was!

These circular arguments involving un-definable words and concepts like "Hardcore gamer" and "Mature audience" are nonsensical and I can't believe they are still on going.

So I finally got myself a Wii U yesterday after it was on ASDA's website for £180. Hilariously I've spent most of my time on it so far playing Advance Wars because I was playing on the pad while watching the football, but I also got Mario Kart and will download Pikmin as the free game. So far I've liked the experience, the UI is nice and the gamepad is cool (though it could definitely be more comfortable to hold). Any particular hints/tips I should be aware of for getting the most out of it?

Not sure I like the customisation thing. But then as he says, just use it or don't. I think I'd rather they spent the time they put into all the custom moves on adding another character or two though.

I'd much rather they confirmed Andy (or whoever the main character is, they could easily change him and slightly design him with the Smash cross over in mind...) as a Smash character alongside an Advance Wars announcement. Or you know, both...

That was an absolutely incredible race. Easily one of the best I've watched. That crash right at the end looked awful, it's simply amazing how well the chassis' takes the hit and completely protects the drivers. First win for Ricciardo, Rosberg getting big points over Hamilton, if only Massa had managed to get the 3rd place instead of Vettel and it would have been a perfect weekend. Brilliant result for Button in the end too in 4th, weirdly it takes McLaren ahead of Williams despite how much better the Williams were looking this weekend. He quietly got on with it while we were so busy watching the guys at the front, overtaking Hulkenberg and Bottas unnoticed. They should restrict the ERS from the leader at every race! The whole field was so close right to the end, I think only the Sauber got lapped and the rest were within what, 30s total? Did I see that right?

Or even better, get "hurt" by the keeper at a corner?

Vettel is such a smug little shit. "Tough luck" eh? Ricciardo deserves a better teammate than him. I'm glad he beat him resoundingly, even if Vettel did later claim that he let him past rather than just ran wide on his worn tires.
