I just found out that while the rest of the school have all their prelims in 2 weeks time, my 3 classes just so happen to be the 3 classes that aren't having them til March. I'm awesome.

Today I had my first ever "date". It went alright, I think...went to see Avatar. We had never actually met in person before (if anyone remembers/cares I posted about it in the Advice thread, basically we met over Facebook via mutual friends, were chatting on there for awhile, then on NYE she got my number off someone and we've been texting everyday since). Wasn't planning on asking her out until next week after going back to school / "accidentally" bumping into her to see her in person, but I got impatient and I was getting a good vibe so I went for it. Incidentally, she's waaay hotter than me so I'm amazed how it's gone so far. I was a little worried she would have a change of heart when we met for real :p She's seemed to respond well to everything so far...it was just me initiating the conversations etc, boy language today seemed good from what I could tell... I originally asked about going on Saturday but she had plans and seemed very disappointed about it, so we went today instead. Chitchat was a bit stilted, I think we both felt somewhat weird about the situation, but it was good nontheless. She said she had fun, at least. There was a split second hesitation as I dropped her off before she got out the car but we were too far apart to recognise it and do anything about it in time :p I'll ask her if she wants to do anything next weekend again I think...ideally what we really need is an environment with alcohol to loosen us both off a bit :p It's just a bit odd the way it's all happened really, it's come out of nothing :p Why did it take me so long to catch onto the wonders of social networking?

My day was AWESOME! Early wake up to go down for a game of 5s with the guys. Booked the hall for an hour, but the people coming in after us didn't show (probably due to snow) so we ended up playing for 2 and a half hours! Then my car was stuck in the driveway AGAIN, so I phoned work and negotiated a deal whereby I don't have to work anymore until the snow goes away Then just now, I got impatient with the girl I've been talking to on Facebook / texting...even though I haven't met her in person yet (only know her through mutual friends) I decided to ask her out and we are now going to see a movie on Sunday

The reality is, there could have been anything before the Big Bang...our world can only be traced back to there. It is possible (though as yet unproven, this is one of 3 possibilities) that our universe will end by essentially hitting rewind, and everything contracting back into a singularity identical to the one at the Big Bang. And then it could Bang again and the universe would start over completely different. But because it all comes from that singularity, anything that happened before has no effect on the universe as we know it and so can be considered to have never happened. I hope that made sense.

I'm feeling strangely down today. Lots of good things happened but not in the way I wanted them too, so some will be wasted and others not as good as they could have been. Meh.

I'm the opposite right now. For the last year or so I've been playing less and less, but I'm getting right back into it now. Got a big backlog to clear, and by the looks of the Q1 schedule, I'll still have it for awhile yet!

Consider me into phase two: texting. She phoned me at random on NYE. She had stolen my friends phone and taken the number off it, then phoned me, drunk obviously. Couldn't quite make out whether it was her who had done it, or her friend, but either way, it seems a good thing. Either she phoned me, or she told her friend about me and then her friend called me for her. So currently I am texting back and forth with her and plan to do so every 2 days or so. Go back to school in a week, hopefully I can accidentally deliberately bump into her so we can talk in real life once or twice, then I shall ask her out.In theory.

Good night last night Today I got an email from myself that I wrote in January 2009. The last line of it was I achieved most of these. Did well in the exams. Still doing the gym. Go out every now and then (this time last year, I didn't drink, because I never had any chances too. Now, I go to 3 different house parties in one night at new years). Know what I want to do with my life for at least the next 5 years. Asked out the girl, got rejected, but still made out with her once. Still far too in my own head. Looking at it that way, I'd say it was quite a successful year.

I'm in love with God Of War. Got Collection for Christmas (never had a PS2, so new to the series) and holy bejeezus, its awesome. Think I'm nearing the end of 1, but I'm gonna go straight onto 2 once I finish. Though whoever decided to keep the door opening to R2 should be shot.
