  1. I agree that Season 2 isn't up to the standard of Season 1 so far. I hate to draw the similarities again but it is kinda like Lost, with a brilliant first series, and then due to the popularity they try to draw it out and people lose interest.
  2. Thank god. Pro Evo finally arrived from Shopto.
  3. I ordered Pro Evo from them. It came out a week ago and I haven't got any sign of it yet. I'm seriously pissed off. If it's not here tomorrow I'm going to kick up a fuss with them.
  4. Well, considering everything has been improved from Melee in some way (eve nthe small details) I'd expect at the very least to have an equal quality item switch. So you can set it to only certain items etc. Should be easy enough to turn off Smash Balls. Tbh, after the first week or two of novelty I expect most people will.
  5. I think the thread title is pretty much a given - but the reason most focus on the Nintendo side is because its the "hardcore" gamers who discuss these things.
  6. Probably a christmas prezzie for me. Especially with that weekend approaching. Nov 16 ofc
  7. There is a very simple answer to the whole argument in this thread: The reason there have been more "casual" games than "hardcore" games is because it takes longer to develop a "hardcore" game. This is the first year of a console, which developers admit they did not take seriously at first. The "hardcore" games are starting to appear alot more now because of the consoles age. "Casual" games do not (usually) have as much depth as a "hardcore" game and will therefore be made alot faster. The same can be said for lower quality games and ports. Thats why the only "hardcore" (god inverted comma's galore here) games so far really have been ports, like Zelda TP and Resi4, and average by average I mean not "AAA" games, though I hate that term too games like Red Steel. Even Super Paper Mario is a mixture of the two, since it started on GC and ended up mediocre at best. So in summary, Casual / Mediocre = Fast, so we see more of them first year. Hardcore = Slower, so we are only seeing them appear now, with MP3 being the first.
  8. The super scope was an item in SSBM. It wasn't pointless! But the Zapper I think, is.
  9. Having just bought a new TV, replacing a broken DS, and all the games I need this year along with christmas presents for everyone, I'm skint.
  10. More pretty rubbish blue screenage in the latest ep. Hiro storyline is getting really good though
  11. I'm tempted by this game. It seems to have three things all in one. A nice on rails part, a more normal single player, and *hopefully* a wicked online. Will have to wait for reviews though.
  12. I hate everyone with a US console. You are bastards.
  13. Good to see that with the new story mode they are also sticking to the old formula at the same time.
  14. What are peoples experiences of Shopto.net? I ordered Pro Evo from them a couple months back but I'm still waiting on my copy after it released Friday. Most sites get it here by Thursday, or Friday at the latest.
  15. Megaton! Thats simply awesome. Best update evar indeed.
  16. So now Skater = Chav?
  17. Awesome. I always loved spammnig Up B for laughs with Pika.
  18. Yeah, so it's 50mb. The size of one WiiWare game, no? Nintendo are so insistant that we can take things out our fridge whenever we want. This shouldn't be a problem. The 360 version is going to be the definitive one just because of that. If the Wii was able to get that one thing sorted it would be the best due to the Wiimote stuff.
  19. The more I play HL2 the more I love it. I've had it on my PC for years but never played it as I only bought it for CS:S.
  20. How big can a set of 5 songs be? I don't understand why it matters if the Wii has 512mb or 20gb.
  21. Ah yeah. Our old formation he was placed to basically play a full back and a winger at the same time, but he had no pace so it never happened. Luckily our Right Wing back Didier Agathe, while not being the most gifted player of all time, ran his socks off every game. One of the paciest players in the league at the time, he played both positions, letting one of the 3 centre backs drift into a left full back position. Really lopsided but seemed to work, somehow.
  22. Had no idea. I knew he moved to an English club, but didn't realise it was Leeds, and that he was captain. A good player, excellent crosser and free kick taker. Bit lacking in pace though. Does he play Central or on the Wing for you? I seem to remember him always moaning about having to play Wingback for us in a 3-5-2.
  23. Wait, is that Alan Thompson the same one who played for Celtic in the Martin O'Neil days?
  24. Yeah, but a Nunchuk has some pretty advanced motion sensitive electronics inside it. The zapper is a piece of plastic.
  25. I'd rather have Olimar playable than Tom Nook. I don't see both making it.
