On the ignore list you go

Thanks @Happenstance for making me start this again and go through with it. I'll put my final thoughts in spoilers, just in case. What a game @Julius Play it sooner rather than later! Edit: Just realized, I basically played this for 6 hours (almost) straight. Yeah...what a game
-
Gonna be interesting to see what it'll be like. I have two theories: It's weird. The game isn't good, the narrative isn't anything to write home about, yet, but the prospect of something big happening keeps me going. You better not be lying to me. Edit: Well, I just played one of the most harrowing missions ever...

Well, reached Chapter 6 of Specs Ops: The Line and so far...nothing special Just your usual "team's gone rogue", "shit's going down in a city", "kill your old mates" stuff. Apparently it's quite a short game so I might actually push through tonight and see what all the fuss is about.
-
I might. I really dislike the game's clunkyness (is that a word?) so turning down the difficulty seems like a good idea. I just wanna play the game for the narrative anyways
-
Ok, I'll give it another try

Zero.

PS3 streaming was expected, but still sad. Other than that: Sounds good. I'll be able to test PlayStation Plus Premium for a few months since I still have a PS Now sub until October this year. There will surely be deals to reduce the annual sub a few quid just as it's been for years now. Might actually be a good idea to look out for some cheap PS Now deals Now I just need the entire list of games available in each tier.

PS1 - Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Gunners Heaven (haven't played the first two) PS2 - Dragon Quest VIII, Burnout 3: Takedown, Twisted Metal: Black (haven't played the latter) PS3 - MGS4, Killzone 3, Resistance 3 (haven't played the last two) PSP - no idea...I haven't dabbled with the PSP at all, yet

And one more: One final very RNG heavy trophy left: Kill a certain boss (1/3 chance to fight it in the last act) with a certain card (which shows up quite regularly). Other than that it's just a matter of beating the true ending with all characters and create certain types of decks with each (e.g. a deck which lets you get 999 block in one turn).

Rumour has it it'll start today. Brace yourselves. I'm not expecting an incredible launch of the new service. I'd settle for the potential of it becoming great over time, i.e. having more and more classic games available. But we'll see. It could also be a total disaster

Trusted leaker Dealabs is back: First of all: Objectively, this is the best month ever because of Battle for Bikini Bottom Slay the Spire. But this is the first month in ages that's pretty bad for me. I might give the Spongebob game a go, though. Never heard of Hood Oultawas & Legends to be honest...

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

If they keep this up, they will become one of my favourite bands! -
Oh boy, Spec Ops: The Line. I've tried playing this game so many times because the narrative is supposed to be great. But I've dropped off it so quickly, because it plays like ass Maybe I'll get back to it someday and actually finish it...

I'm gonna say I achieved the following thanks to you Here's how it went down: Have a 5 card deck with Bash and two Dropkicks Bash to make boss vulnerable Dropkick the boss --> gain 1 Energy and draw a card (happens when the enemy is vulnerable) Dropkick the boss again --> gain 1 Energy and draw a card, which is Dropkick Dropkick the boss EVEN MORE --> gain 1 Energy and draw a motherfucking DROPKICK DROPKICK OVER AND OVER AGAIN It's a lot less exciting when you see what it actually was like: Yeah, so that's another RNG heavy trophy down.

Shit, double post. Sorry.

Ohhhh, this sounds awesome. I guess I'll have to get the game on PS5 then

"If the opportunity arises" he said, knowing full well that he was always going to immediately try to do that from the start of the run Managed to acquire several trophies: Getting those challenges done can happen in multiple ways and the easiest is a 5 card infinite deck. I got that and of course the final boss had to be Time Eater who ends your turn automatically when you play 12 cards...which ruined my chances of acquiring the "beat a boss in the first turn" trophy, as well. Time to go for an infinite deck again Also got this one just now: The Ironclad ftw. Searing Blow +11 (it's a card you can upgrade as many times as you want and it increases in power with each upgrade) won me the run easily. A few more difficult trophies are left: Beat the game with a deck containing no uncommons or rares - haven't thought about it much, but I guess The Ironclad with a Perfected Strike deck could work Defeat a boss on turn 1 - probably the most annoying one that's left other than those, completing Act 4 with all characters will definitely be a challenge. Thankfully, this can be done on Ascension 0 (will probably go with Ascension 1, though, for more elite enemies and in turn more relics) Then some random ones like "have 10 or more buffs in combat", "finish Donu with Feed", etc. Getting closer and closer to that Platinum

@Julius Can't wait to read your impressions. My mate sent his copy of Sekiro on its way to me I hope it arrives soon.

I'm not looking for soul-crushing difficulties Just a little bit of challenge. I like Kirby but all of its games I've played so far kind of felt like a slog to me. Maybe tomorrow. Right now I'm trying to screw Slay the Spire's RNG but it's screwing me.

Once you're done with the game, tell me how it ranks among the other Kirby end-/post-games. I've reached 100% completion and haven't died once. Would love to give harder Kirby games a try
