May I just chime in with a haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door, no? story that happened a year ago? It was E3 time, Sony's conference happened and the next day the lady and I spend time together. I was tired as fuck and she asked me why. Told her it was E3 and that I watched the conference. Her response: "Oh yeah, I watched the news today and they covered it. That virtual reality stuff from Sony sounds kinda cool. And Microsoft seems to have some cool games coming." My girlfriend isn't into gaming. She has a Wii and basically only ever plays when I'm around. She doesn't have a clue about the industry, about games other than Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart and all the games I force her to play with me we play together and yet she heard about PlayStation VR and Microsoft's games because of the press conferences. A couple days later I visited my mom and she asked about virtual reality. She's seen a report on TV about E3, too. Why this post? Because I wanted to give a much more "personal" touch to this discussion. @Ashley got it right:

So, getting the Defense Grid 2 Platinum is slowly turning into a hope for RNGesus to be kind to me... You need at least one augmentation for each tower (there are 9 towers). I have several augmentations for 8 and NONE for the remaining tower... And I keep getting augmentations for those freaking 8 towers... I still need 60 more gold medals on missions, which provides me with 30-40 opportunities to get the desired unlock during regular progress to the Platinum. At least with Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls there is no more RNG involved. I can just sit back, open spotify or listen to GameGrumps in the background and level up my two remaining Characters. : peace: Already thinking about what to play next. I might make a habit of playing two games simultaneously (depending on how complex the games are). I think I'll get Rogue Galaxy, because I always wanted to play this. Then I need a game from my backlog. I will handle Crypt of the Necrodancer like I handled The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth: Play a couple of runs per day. Play the shit out of the game while commuting The Platinum will probably be a long term investment

Everyone who doesn't love FFIX gets a "FUCK YOU" from me. :p Just kidding. FFIX has been my very first Final Fantasy. I bought it on its release day in 2001. I was 11 at that time. Went home, popped the first disc in (OH MY GOD, THERE ARE FOUR DISCS) and was immediately blown away. I didn't understand the mechanics...it was my first JRPG, so all the stats and numbers and words didn't mean anything to me I enjoyed it, though. The music...oh man, the music. Audio Nostalgia. (btw, when I first saw Kuja I thought he was a girl...my first experience with Japanese video game characters ) Would love to play this again...especially with a shiny Platinum to get : peace:

It has a Platinum : peace: It also has a co-op trophy -.- Hope it's possible to do this solo with a second controller. Can't wait. With The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth still not released on PS4 (and probably never getting a Vita release...) I need this I also read somewhere (I forgot where) that this won't be a PS+ title.

Still taking my time with Defense Grid 2 and I'm still enjoying it There are only 20 missions, but several variations on each one which keeps the game fresh. There is one trophy which is dependant on RNG, though...hope I'll get it until I'm done with the other trophies. For Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls I need to level up two more classes to lvl 70 and complete a lot of bounties. Crank up the music and enjoy the grind : peace:

That's why I'll wait to play this again. Tried some matches last night but it was horrible The game needed more time. 6-12 months longer development to include more vehicles, improve servers/matchmaking and add more features. It was free on PS+ so I won't complain too much

How long does the game take with a guide and were you able to find a mostly spoiler-free one? I don't like to play point-and-click games more than once, so I'd love to get the platinum in one go.

A new patch has been released for Diablo 3 Thanks. Will play again I also have some trophies left. Need 3 or 4 more classes at level 70. Created a Barbarian and got him to level 30 in 2 hours Still enjoying Defense Grid 2. Don't play that much these days, but slowly making my way through the story. : peace: Very interested in The Banner Saga, but with Crypt of the Necrodancer out in two weeks there's no use in buying that.

That one playlist they had? You know, the one where one team has tanks, the other has buggies? The one which is called "Overpowered? Let's settle this once and for all"? Tanks are supposed to be overpowered. Well, 5 matches...every match ended with the tanks owning everything. So, yeah? It's settled... Not enjoying this game for more than one match. Hopefully future patches will make Hardware: Rivals better

Don't agree with that. Cross game party chat and parties in general improve the experience by much more than what a smart TV/ipad 2 enhances over a TV/ipad.

Yes, pretty sure the majority did. Mainly because the 360 had that feature. Edit: Well, the PS3 did have chat, it didn't have cross-game chat, though. That was what made the 360's online so much better and a lot more enjoyable. It may be the "same-old-same-old-talk" but to many gamers the voice chat service is incredibly important. If the Wii U had more than the few worthwile online games it has I'd probably be quite happy with its current service. However, it would need those necessary features many keep talking about even more.

But I let them sway me, because my biggest worry has gone now :p If there's enough action going on even with relatively few players on a quite large map then that's great : peace: Edit: The game is ok. It could be sooooo much more, though. Matchmaking needs to be improved as quickly as possible and an option to turn down aim sensitivity is desperately needed. Have only used a tank. Might not be the vehicle I'll use in the future...it's way too clunky and slow. Reached level 5. It's good fun, but needs improvements.

Urgh, you make me want to give this a go I'm still on the fence, though...even with the recent update matchmaking still seems a bit iffy. And after watching some videos I think 5 on 5 matches on those large maps might become boring quickly? Not too much action going on?
