  1. Theres the argument that it would destroy the insurance industry and i say good riddance. Get out from behind your desk and get a real job

Couldn't agree more. One of the social cancers of modern society.

  2. ^ Might have to join you on that one!

I'm supporting Vettel whatever. As Kimi's mate and Badminton buddy, it would be rude of me not too!

I'll stick my neck out and say Vettel has no chance of the title this year... I'll stick my neck out further and put a bet on Schumacher, Hamilton, Massa or Alonso. And at a push, Sebastian Vettel. ;)

    This year should be immense!

  3. I don't want to tread through a veritable mine field of opinion but I think Obama's had a very good first year especially considering the mess the twat before him left. I whole heartedly admire his desire to push through public health care and shut down Guantanamo, these two facts alone make me believe he is the first American president in a long time who may possess something resembling a soul.

  4. Heidfeld holds the record for most races finished in a row. Something like 32 or 33. I think this speaks volumes, sure reliability comes into it to a certain extent but Heidfeld IS consistant and is quick. I'm sure given the chance in a decent car he would be a race winner, but he is not WDC material by any stretch of the imagination, he definitely deserves to be in the top level of motorsport.

  5. I think that's it for Heidfeld this year. No race seat. I read on Autosport he'd been offered a Mercedes testing role with promise of a race seat in '11 but I don't know if that will work if Schumacher is on a 3-year deal and they renew Rosberg or get Vettel, both of whom are better drivers. I do feel sorry for the guy though, it was almost a dream drive at Mercedes until Schumacher came on the scene and kicked him into touch. He deserves a drive more than 50% of the field so I hope Renualt take him on, but I doubt they will.

  6. I'm scraping around 1:40.000 in GT5 Academy Demo but just can't quite get a perfect enough lap to beat it. I'm ranked about 8,200 which I feel is a pretty decent effort! How is everyone else getting on? This is the only game I want this year because I know it will comsume my entire life. I missed both PS2 versions of GT because I never owned one but I finished 1 and 2 from start to finish so I can't wait to get back into it again 10 years later.

  7. Capcom is definitely the hardest blow though.

That's what she said... But seriously, Nintendo have dropped the ball. Again. Only this time they don't seem to be compensating us with as much epic software. I've completely lost faith in Nintendo this gen and I think there is little they could do to win me back. I even have lowered expectations for Zelda, which is a shame. Losing third parties is just going to put a nail in the coffin of the Wii amongst people who want to play videogames and not lose weight or play sport indoors.

  8. I just got a 120gb Slim with Little Big Planet, Heavenly Sword and Dead Space for £220 from work (with discount ;) ) Picked up Final Fantasy VII and Theme Hospital from PSOne classic, which are 2 of my favourite PS1 games. Massively enjoying thus far, much more 'next-gen' feeling than the Xbox. Not done much but played around with Home and browsed the store as well as succesfully streamed stuff from my laptop, something my Xbox could never manage. Might pick up KZ2 and MGS4 when I get cash and Bayonetta when I get some serious funds.

  9. In response to Nicktendos Question. ..I have no idea. If you are doing something 'unofficial' you could just keep trying? Or alternatively go to the source of creation to seek your answer.

I'm using all legit, purchased software. Transfered Okami, Zelda TP, Wii Sports, Animal Crossing and MP3 (US versions) and Wii Sports Resort and New Super Mario Bros Wii (PAL) but since then nothing else will work... :hmm: I still have a good 25+ games I wanna run off the HDD to preserve the disk drive.

EDIT:- Seems like standing the Wii horizontally yields much better results. How strange...

  10. Let me re-iterate: "What a frickin' D-bag"

You don't get science believers running round the world preaching, "SCIENCE, ENERGY, SCIENCE, ENERGY!! AHHHHHHHH!!!"

His whole argument is flawed with regards to the Oxygen idea. Someone didn't tell us, many, many people *without an agenda* researched it. I would much rather believe this, with the knowledge in the back of my mind that I could possibly become a scientist and find out for myself, than read a book that loosly translates that some bird lied about having sex, proclaimed to be a virgin and that her beardy offspring was the spawn of "God."

    No thanks, Mary, no thanks.

  11. I'm not as impressed with the Xbox 360 as I thought I would be, I don't game too often anymore either.

I really like the look of Heavy Rain and GT5 and would rather have the multimeadia and Blu-ray functionality of a PS3 seeing as how I can rent Blu-Rays for free from work! I can't afford to own both consoles so it's a no-brainer. Although I was REALLY looking forward to Perfect Dark on XBLA it doesn't seem like the kind of game I should keep the console for, if you catch my drift.

This has now been sold to Nintendohnut for £130 + postage and the wireless adapter has been traded in at work towards a PS3 Slim :D

  12. Console comes with wireless pad (but no batteries... sorry :P) and everything that comes with the 'new' elite - wired headset, ethernet cable, composite lead, 120gb HDD and a power suppy.

The console has a manufacture date of 21-10-09 so I assume it is at least the Jasper chipset (I believe there is an even newer one).

It's not registered with Microsoft so there would be no issues there.

Any other questions, just ask! : peace:

  13. Snip

Well I'm glad that double deck diffusers could be banned but how anyone can say they don't contribute is beyond me. Watch the '09 Aussie GP again and it's blatantly obvious that the cars could overtake much better. Would have prefereed the ban for this season, but I guess you cant have everything...
