I thought he was great. FFIX is probably my second favourite game, after FFVIII. I actually loved the Chocobo's Hot and Cold - after you get your chocobo colour upgrades the minigame becomes much more enjoyable and the rewards really pay off. I really loved the background art in this game, especially Cleyra and Treno. The ability learning system from weapons/armour rocked, as well as some equipment giving you extra abilities such as absorbing shadow (good against Ozma). Some of the music was great, the story; while not appearing as important as those in the previous games, was still awesome in its own right. Superb game. -
Of the 4 I watched I think they are a lot worse than the series arcs. Everything is too rapidly concluded because it's just a short movie...

Yeh Ghibli fan, but not of all the films. Just most of the more popular ones. Most anime series films like FMA and CB, most of the One Piece just don't seem that great. Like an extended episode but worse...

I know, one of the bigger reasons is probably that it is cheaper to launch in Europe all at once, after enough copies have been produced and advertising campaigns, classification etc are launched at once. I was just clarifying the person's viewpoint before, because technically it would be easy to do, if not financially the best option...

Look, no one cares about whatever you want me to prove. You've got a grudge against the fact I don't think Monster is a masterpiece. We get it. We don't need any more pages of this. You have a god complex. You need to sort it out. While you're at it, learn the definition of fact. Your opinion of a band is not fact. An anime is not a masterpiece because you say it is. Again, therefore, it is not fact. Read this post over and over, digest it carefully. Then, never speak to me again =D. You're always trying to bash people's thoughts on things, and that really pisses me off.

Right, I said I would be gone but Mundi- how can you seriously be agreeing with someone who says this: and You say I provided no reasons for my thoughts about Monster (which I did), that no one else thought O_W was wrong (again, they did), but worst of all he has no idea of the definition of fact- the very reason this argument started in the first place. If you side with this guy you are basically taking a shit on your credibility. :/

Of course I do! As an avid importer for many years I've known about the differences for ages. Sorry if my post sounded ignorant. My point is that the DS, unlike most consoles, is region free anyway, and the DS screen does not come under the same past problems TVs had with the 50Hz/60Hz conundrum. So really there could be no difference between the NTSC and PAL UK versions if they wanted to, as we speak the same language. It would be possible to release at the same time as the US in the UK, then carry on with translations to release another version. That is why the person before probably suggested that we should be split from the rest of people. I'm not saying whether I agree or disagree (import games are cheaper anyway, lol)

Would it have been a problem if I hadn't perceived it as quite so great? People judge themselves the greatness of animes, I think it's important that people stop trying to tell each other how good things are. It's like those gimps who go around telling you that ET is the best film ever. FYI this argument is basically O_W saying that I am culturally ignorant and immature because I simply said it's quite watchable, despite several pages back in the topic saying that I was watching Monster and enjoying it a lot. =D

So what do you propose, we all agree that Monster is the best anime ever, a masterpiece; ie. all share the opinion of Oxigen_Waste? Or are people allowed to think differently? Edit: You will notice I have said that I like Monster a lot, and I said "quite watchable" as a compliment. Would you say a rubbish anime is quite watchable? This is all about not thinking it is the best thing since sliced bread.

Sorry about the long post guys, but here goes: For a start, no one had said it was a masterpiece before my initial post. Right, it's obvious you are clearly sticking up for Oxigen_Waste or just for other reasons have some grudge against me. Everyone else here has sussed that O_W is being arrogant and not understanding that any anime is interpreted differently by people - it is not wrong to say an anime is quite watchable if that is what I genuinely believed, as well as the word 'masterpiece' being ultimately an opinion. It is not a factual term like "liquid" or "gas"; it is a term used to describe something that you believe. If something could be definitively categorised as a masterpiece, Monster doesn't even seem to have that many 'awards' (2 displayed on Wikipedia, and one of the awards has even given first place one year to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles >_>). Please do not try and piss me off Mundi, O_W is clearly just trying to rattle people's cages by deliberately calling them on anything he disagrees with. Why the hell can't people have different views about things? He is an unbelievable fascist. To be told by someone that I am wrong about how I feel is ridiculous. Why? Because that person cannot speak for everyone. If I watch it, and I find it 'quite watchable', then it is absolutely 100% wrong to say that it is any more than that for me. "Quite watchable" was my evaluation after watching it - my evaluation. I'm pretty annoyed that someone would tell me that I am wrong about my own feelings. Top 5 of what? Blast...
