Ayup. Me too, lol. With the cashback it's about £190.

Have a great birthday!

Haha, my Snorlax used the quick claw an awful lot. Jammy sausage.

@Hero\-of\-Time and @Sprout! Got the Xerneas.

Helmets seatbelts and maybe something to do with age(thrip)
Sheikah replied to Oxigen_Waste's topic in General Chit Chat
No evidence either way is pretty fucking terrifying, Oxigen. A drug wouldn't be licensed for use if there was no evidence either way for its safety. Just saying, there are genuinely scary/dubious scenes in some games that could be bad for some impressionable young people. I absolutely agree there are large numbers of people who would be fine. But other than a blanket age ban it'd be too hard to regulate. -
How far are you in/what are you doing?
-
@Hero\-of\-Time You should catch a full squad of pidgeys for the next game owner to see and name them thus: 1. Please 2. Give 3. Me 4. Positive 5. Feedback 6. Thanks!

I'm tempted by it, but worried about whether there'll be enough good games to play. Someone convince me? Also remember there is about 9 quid worth of cashback through topcashback on that.
-
Oh cool, thanks a lot. Can I grab that off you around 7PM tonight @Sprout? I'll throw in something good. Think I might already have you added. In game name is Daniel.
-
Not until tonight unfortunately... around 6PM I imagine. :S
-
Can I have it Hero? By it I mean Xerneas.
-
Uh oh, here come the anecdotes. Let's leave it to the professionals to decide whether it's generally a bad thing to assume all young people ever are ok with this sort of thing, eh?

We could just say the graphics debate started because of moronic fanboys. Seriously, the PS2 had some really amazing/exciting/inventive titles. Ninty fanboys were bound to fall back on something to try explain why the GC had worse sales (but ultimately tried to argue were more 'artistic'). In actual fact I don't think it had anything to do with the visual style, nor did the visual style confer creativity. It's a poor argument.

Doesn't really make sense either, given PS2 had Okami. Fanboys be stupid.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Sheikah replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
My point is that preowned GTAV copies will litter the shelves in due course and be subject to second hand sales the same as GTAIV was. So any people who waited for a preowned copy of IV could be just the same sort of thrifty people waiting on V preowned. Even if you argue that preowned IV buyers were won over to buy V new, I'd still argue that a game of such commercial success won't have done well mostly through previous preowned sales. It's just not that kind of game that most people care to pick up preowned. So really we may as well just compare new sales. Also remember that GTAV on PS3 and 360 bested IV lifetime sales that included PC. There's no doubt that this is the fastest selling game of all time to date. A game like this is bound to shift a substantial chunk of consoles to the uninitiated. Whether they bought a console prior to its release, or after, or even in the near future. This game has power. -

A lot of people will get GTAV second hand too. It's completely unarguable - GTAV has sold/will sell fuck loads more copies than GTAIV, ergo it is selling to many people who never got IV. -
General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Maybe it's the small fact that the 3DS is current generation and the last two are old gen (so less people are buying it before GTA had an effect on sales anyway so the bump seems less pronounced)? Or that there are 2 different consoles that can be be bought to play it? Or that people bought consoles in the months before it solely in anticipation for the game? Or that the 3DS is doing well on its own merits since having some very attractive games released? All things you're clearly overlooking. Like I said, GTAIV lifetime sales (including PC) were matched after 3 weeks of GTAV being on sale. So any buyers after that are people who never bought/played IV. So it's clearly going to sell millions of copies to people who never had the predecessor (or potentially the console - one would wonder why if they owned the console and liked the concept of GTA, why they wouldn't have bought GTAIV). Couple this with the consoles being cheap, and there being other great titles like the Last of Us, and I can easily see it shifting consoles. -

Considering GTAV outsold GTAIV's lifetime sales in 3 weeks, I'd say there's a lot of additional people that were attracted to GTAV and that it will have a significant effect on console sales. -
Dang, remember my words!

I very much doubt the sort of people disheartened by Watch Dogs/Drive Club delays would even care to glimpse in the Wii U's direction. I think the Wii U is still pretty toxic at the moment. Most people with sense don't want to develop for it. -
I am town.

I'm someone here to kick ass and move the discussion along. Whereas you don't seem particularly bothered when discussion stalls. You certainly haven't been trying to get much info from people. I have told you that I stopped esequiel being target switched. What have you given? Oh, that's right, you're unreachable, and you know you were too. Laughable that you try cast suspicion really.

O RLY.....

I reckon he'll just thank your post instead. And this.

Heh, can't believe I skipped past this. If by being top tier active you mean thanking every other post, then you are very active indeed. Otherwise I'd say you don't really dig around for answers much. Interesting that you would say I'm scummy. We know you're smarter than that, so now my suspicion of you has shot right up.
