Haha, a good point. Two good points I guess actually, it's only a rough plan at the moment really, and I'm not expecting to achieve everything on the list, I'm spreading myself about a bit! The martial arts thing'll take alot of time, but I can see it as being doable over the course of lots of years, but I don't really know how likely I'll be to be sticking at it in 5 years time...

Tbh, if they were gonna do it, I imagine instead they'd do something like importing a picture off an SD card, but of course, they won't. I'd like it if they DID do an emblem type thing anyway regardless, I just don't see it happening for some reason, dunno. Offtopicontopic, throwing my vote in for MK64, DD was all right, but I just wasn't feeling it compared to 64. 64 brought us the unbelievably simple, yet incredibly fun Block Fort. Plus double decker and skyscraper were pretty damn good too!

I loved martinist's don't touch this sign's sharp edges, I often have a terrible urge to molest me some cold hard metal signage...mmm! I don't have any, but I feel these are slightly relevant. http://www.explosm.net/movies/118/ http://www.explosm.net/movies/129/ Make sure you watch in order though. EDIT:Oh snap! I just remembered I saw a brilliant sign up Waterloo once! We all know they mean the gays. Disclaimer: Rummy has nothing against gays.

Yarr, went to uni, didn't get any partiicpants for my dissertation study(due in two weeks :shakehead) but I did get a book, then I came home and instead of reading it for material to finish my introduction writeup with, I had a nap for two hours, then my alarm woke me up to go to Aikido. Twas a grading tonight, and I've acquired my first belt, so I am now a yellow belt(my mate gave me his, as he 'got' orange, he's beltless, bar his white belt that I gave him back XD). In fact, everyone who graded passed, so it's quite good, plus it means we can focus on stuff we need higher up as there's now no white belts. I stayed for the second/advanced class tonight too(more badness, considering I have a dissertation due in two weeks :shakehead ) but it was actually pretty cool, learnt a few nice little moves, though a bit dangerous, but it was all quite cool, and I managed to put one on a brown belt in some knife stuff! Though I think he was going easy on me for it, and I started wrong. Then I came home, came on here(more badness) but I found out I won a actual prize for the BISH, which has made me up, I'm quite happy right now :D Even despite, a two week deadline! (no more shakeheads :p)

I'm not really a passion and dream sort of guy, I'm a bit too happy go lucky I think. My main aim is to be happy, and have a full and rich life, enjoy it all, and hope that people remember me for it, and I hope to bring joy to people who meet me. How much a cheesy bastard am I? Got some more specific ones too, I guess. I have recently decided on a 'passion' or a dream, which'd be to become proficient in a martial art, or in fact a few. I just got my second/first belt in Aikido(yellow) and hope that in 20, 40, 60 years I'll still be at it and teaching others too, until I die. I got plans to start another martial art or fighting style(no idea what) in a few years when I get my 1st dan in Aikido though. At least a black belt in 3 or 4 arts in 20 years hopefully, even if it's only 1st dan in a couple. I'd love to invent something, but doubt I will, I guess I would kind of like to be famous in that respect, but for something good, unlike alot of celebrity these days. That reminds me I have a secret passion to get into acting one day, but to be an actual good actor, like some of the legends of today. To be rich, unfortunately, is a secret passion of mine, but not if it sacrifices the others. I'd like to somehow obtain £1mil in fact, then I'd be boring and let it get interest for a year, then live off it year by year. I want to have enough to get by, and never worry. If I ever had more than £5mil, I think I'd invest it to grow, and give to charity. With my death giving a large bulk of my fortune to charity. Of course, one can dream... Travelling the world falls in with the rich and full life, I want it to be full of experiences! I want to know of things I'd never thought possible, or even considered. I want to see the differences between peoples and cultures, I want a varied life? I dunno, I just want to see things from many different points of view. Who knows? I don't plan to plan too much, or fix too much on anything, so I've got a few dreams to see where things'll take me, and what doors'll open up. I'd say my main one is the martial arts though, as I see it being totally feasible. I'd like to go to Japan one day too, live there for a year or two. If you use it enough, you can make it funny due to the sheer randomness(I hear some of you shudder at 'random' comedy...WEASEL!). But yeah, I've heard some pretty random your mum jokes, which I find brilliant.

I'll let you know now, I'm one of those 'coming at the last minute, always a maybe on facebook til a day or two before' types, and I know people find those types annoying, so apologies. I'm very quite likely to come, but I don't like to commit then pull out, hence I'm like that. I have a rather major concern with the whole thing though, why is Drinking on a list of things we might do? Have all you guys who are staying in London decided where you're gonna stay? Cos it's probably worth doing so that you don't end up making these supposed 'cliquey' plans, I might even stay too, despite not needing to, cos it sounds like it'll be awesome hanging in a hostel for a night. -
Let's just phone her up and says sums to her! lolololol! She's gonna be so 'wtf' and all that, let's ask her to do exponentials and logarithms! Damn me, I don't know enough about hard maths to have made that funny, but I find the idea of doing it to be a geek's idea of a prank call, and I actually think it'd be bloody hilarious to do prank calls to people like that. As for ReZ's original post, you know what ReZ? Don't talk to me. Yadda yadda, no response etc. I would like to say though, this is the sort of thing that is right up my street, I used to be well annoying to people, doing the whole 'hey! hey! dave! hey! dave! DAVE! HEY! DAVE! DAAAAVE!' *furious pokes* 'What??' 'Oh...nvm.' Rinse and repeat. I'm actually gonna ring a Dave tomorrow and do this, gonna be awesome. I lol'd, but I retract my lols and demand you change back your avatar. I shall give you no more lols until you do.

I r sad, don't think we'll see any snow here this year, that crazy sun has started showing his face lately, though he's not doing a good job, cos it's still cold like bitch, damn winds!

Oh no, I didn't mean you in that bit, I was just quoting your post as a gateway to a terrible joke. I just meant some people here seem a bit...unremorseful? I dunno, who am I to judge, and I won't deny there's something very satisfying, especially in a primal sort of way, about winning a fight, but I just find the lack of some people's remorse a bit disturbing. It's nothing new, and unfortunately is a big part of human nature. I won't point fingers and name names, I bet anyone who read this and feels they might be a little bit guilty of it will want to take me up on it, but that's the whole issue in itself. Like I said, who am I to judge from a bit of text? If this annoys anyone, yeah, I realise it will be, so apologies for it. As for the whole martial art issue, I still think it's a pointless argument, and some people have clocked on as to why(the video of a TKD person winning against Muay Thai and vice versa even proves the point, though unneccesary in the first place imo), it depends on the practitioner, and the art, and for every strength one has, it'll have a weakness too. I think it's upto a person to find a martial art they like, for their own reasons, and that should be enough. If you want to be the ultimate fighter, then IMO no art will do you, you'll need to mix it up like Oxigen and The Fish said. Of course, this comes from a low level Aikidoka, which I know for a fact is disregarded by alot of other art practitioners, and I personally am not fussed by it, if there's one thing I like it for more than anything else, is it's first principle seems to be about avoiding and awareness, and I'd rather avoid an attack, get away and avoid the fight altogether than have one and 'win'. I liked Oxigen's first video though, of the Muay Thai vs TKD, the MT kicks seem to be much more balanced(literally) than the TKD, and in some points you do see the MT catch the TKD so he stumbles back due to his balance being off from a kick, despite that, the second video shows the aggressive TKD hammering away at the MT, so they're both good in their own respects. To sum up, I think what we really need to consider, is whether Sagat's Tiger Flame(the MT fighter really reminded me of Sagat) is truly superior to Ryu's Hadouken, or will Dhalsim lay everyone to waste with a bit of Yoga Fire! Tbh though, I'd bite all your faces off with Blanka.

lolwut, I didn't know there was an actual prize! I've been trying(and failing) to avoid the forums too! Why, I feel touched! In the not bad way! I'd like to take my hat off to Shorty for the close second though, and to all the contestants for taking part and making it super fun/bloody hard/both, and jayseven himself for hosting it, and coming in at a very respectable third! I shall get on PMing you now jayseven, I'm most curious to see what the prize is! P.S That's a rather lovely hat you have there conzer :p

IT'S BECAUSE THEY SECRETLY THINK THEY MIGHT BE STRAIGHT. Reading through, some of you were mean bastards.

Totally going for the black angle. Anyway, I feel like I heard some rumour of this before, but I imagine I'm imagining things. I really like Cleaveland! I don't think there should be any character specific kind of spinoff though, cos they're all too good, but if there was one, I'd want it to be Cleveland I think. I see the others getting tired pretty quickly, though I just can't imagine what they'll do for Cleaveland.

Oh yes, I was thinking Duncan James was his name, I know his name! I really really know it cos I tend to dislike his general smarminess compared with most of the other dragons, maybe it's Craig? I'm refusing to look it up though, gonna remember dammit!

I saw a bit of it, namely some dude who made a bike hubcap and I swear was either joking or seriously seriously deluded within himself, I didn't get his point at all. Then I saw the fireman dude with the tree thing at the end, I liked it, liked seeing the british dude invest(i always forget his name). It seemed alot more toned down and less formal than dragon's den, though, useless americans! British dude seemed so unimpressed from what I said, is his name Duncan? Anyway, I was watching Five Life instead, some documentary about the world's smallest boy.

I actually thought those were two brilliant stories Haver, especially the knife kid ending. I think some people are quite worried about their macho prowess in this thread though.

I did try pimping McPhee's link a few times, as it looked rather awesome, alas nobody pays attention. I hope people do realise this is gonna take collective organising by everyone, not just a single person, you all have to make the effort, don't just do nothing then start whinging about it when things aren't how you like. Anyhoo, pimping that link from McPhee again so jayseven sees it and edits it into his first post :p http://www.dovercastlehostel.com/index.asp -
lol, apparently once my mum or my aunt was out shopping for new handbags, when they suddenly realised they'd lose their own handbag, turned out they'd hung it up on the shelf when trying new ones and forgotten to pick it back up, made me lol. I'm the same with the wallet though, 98% of the time, it's in a pocket somewhere, so I'd have to lose the jeans/trousers to lose the wallet.

I just got home from Margate, where I went for a small friendly and light/low level aikido competition! I felt a bit nervous when I got there, as we didn't know what to be doing, and no one really explained it to us(our instructors werent entirely sure themselves), and to make things worse me and my mate were the only two white belts there out of like 35 odd people(about 8 of which probably black belts, and not competeting). Despite that, and doing terrible in the first bit(1-10 of randori no kata, for anyone who knows tomiki aikido), doing it with Nintendave, the white belt friend. Two other guys from our club went, both yellow belts(one belt up from white), and they did quite well in the first, nearly taking silver/gold, but not as some woman stepped in to point out things'd been done wrong somewhere, so they got bronze. Second thing was some 2on1 stuff in threes(the judges graded each 'three' then the scores decided the winners/losers), which was pretty cool to watch, but we probably weren't best at. Nintendave ended up with anothe couple of guys for his three, while I was with our two yellow belts. Then we went into groups of five, for kata of the basic 11-17 moves, kata of 1-4 of the kneeling stuff, knife avoision/evasion, knife techniques(forgot the proper name, and then toshu. All of which is probably dutch to anyone reading, but I was going knife evasion, and I was apparently quite good but didn't get points cos I used my hands too at times, and if my hands touch the other person I don't get a point for evasion(which I was conviniently told AFTER I'd done it, and we were like the last teams doing it, one of my instructors had told me otherwise though, to an extent). The basic aim is the stabber gets 6 stabs or 30 seconds, whichever reaches first, and the avoider must avoid, then roles swap. So yeah, apparently I had good evasion after I got into it, but it didn't count. Apparently I was quite good on my turn with the knife as well though, but missed an easy point not stabbing the other guy in the back, mainly cos the sight of his back totally confused me and I wasn't sure how fair game it was. But yeah, I lost that, but had fun. Nintendave did our knife techniques/sparring(it has a proper name I can't remember) and he was bloody amazing for a white belt! Hell, he was better than some of the coloured belts there, me and him were both against yellow belts, but yeah, he was brilliant, both on techniques and the stabbing of the other guy. Our two yellow belts had to do the first two things between themselves, and they were pretty damn awesome at that, considering they had to quickly learn a few techniques they didnt know. We were a team of 2 yellows, 2 whites and 1 black belt, against a team of 2 yellows, 2 browns(belt before black) and a black, and we apparently did rather well for it, losing out 3 rounds to 2(dave won his round). Basically, I didn't win anything, but I had a rather good time. Granted, most of it was sitting watching other people doing the stuff(if you can imagine everyone has to do the things one at a time, it adds up), but it was really interesting and quite fun, and now I'm kind of pumped but sad these things don't happen more often. But yeah, all in all, a bad day for my dissertation work, but I feel I've had a rather fun and worthwhile experience tonight.

Yeah, but I swear I played something once on xbox live, and it was a case of me not having a headset, but I could hear some of what other people were saying routed through the speakers. Different things do it differently though, I guess. That, would be brilliant! I'd love taunting my mates over a big old wifi match, would really give it a nice feel too.

I lose my wallet once, I went back to ASDA to find out if they had it, but the customer services woman didn't know cos it was a different one to when I'd been in there, so I went to the police station and reported it lost in case it was handed in(took a good half hour of waiting and doing), then I came home and rang back to ASDA later, as the woman had advised(or i think i just didnt like/trust the woman i'd spoken to, she seemed a bit half arsed). My mum had a go at me and stuff, then I went to the showeroom and looked in the sock basket, where my wallet was. I remembered I had to take it out me pocket to change my jeans, as they were tight with it in. I felt foolish, and relieved, cos I hadn't cancelled my cards yet. Twas annoying though, cos it had my money and ID, and I went to the pub that night.

Guys, looking into it some more, I don't think Sega World actually exists at Trocadero anymore, the closest thing I could find related was some PC Gaming World, full of spec gaming PCs with multiplayer shizzles on them. Don't hold me to anything though, I don't really know what I'm looking for. -
This thread was terrible, much under Moogle's usual caliber. Sure, I didn't get it til it was pointed out on page 2, but that's because IT WAS TERRIBLE. In line with the thread's theme though; *insert bizarre confession about my penis here*

Hyde Park 4th-6th July N-E Meet and Mainland July 5th Meet in Holland
Rummy replied to jayseven's topic in General Chit Chat
I thought there is a plan and rough itenery? Meet in the Park, say hellos and stuff, sit there and chill for a while with DS/Cards/Drink, possibly attend a pub depending on the day's consensus, and wasn't there some mention of Tracadero? I think the best plan at the moment is to meet up in the park, then decide on the day what we want to do, from a list of rough ideas beforehand(which is what we need now). Why do people like planning stuff so much? I find my best days are the unplanned ones! -
I think the problem is more other people swearing and stuff at little johnny, cos I imagine the sound would be routed through the TV's speakers or Wiimote speaker, not just through a headset?
